I don't know if this is the right thing to do, and I'm so sorry if not.

catthiefkeith passed away today.

I know there are mumsnetters who know her know how amazing she is, and I just wanted to raise a glass to her memory on here, where she brought a smile to so many faces with her stories of her mad life.

Rest in peace lovely lady.

I agree with not outing Keith to her family. Her husband knows, he can share it if he wants to.

That being said, I am sure a justgiving page for meningitis research in the name of CatThiefKeith would be allowed to stand. MNHQ, would it?

Then it can be shared with her husband and it may bring some comfort.

in her 40's taken like this. Meningitis is such a bastard. May some good come out of this tragedy.

I did not think she was even that old, was she? I may be wrong, but I think I remember being surprised at how young she was.

Very sad news.

I've had meningitis and lived to tell the tale. I post a link to the Meningitis Research Fund on my social media every year on the anniversary.

I don't think we need a specific CTK fund to donate in the memory of someone who was a light in our lives. We can still donate. We can share links to the symptoms of meningitis, we can make ourselves aware, we can encourage our younger relatives to have the jabs now available to young adults, we can make a big difference.

I hope her nearest know what a spark she was on here but I wouldn't want to upset them either.
