I'm getting sick and tired of dinosaurs being forced on our children

I'm really concerned about dinosaurs, and I think something needs to be done. The science behind them is pretty flimsy, and I for one do not want my children being taught lies. Did you know that nobody had even heard of dinosaurs before the 1800s, when they were invented by curio-hungry Victorians?

Charles Darwin's later theory of evolution entirely disproved dinosaurs, yet the dinosaur lie was twisted and adapted to try to make it fit. Any proper look at the facts will reveal that dinosaurs simply never existed.

Aside from the educational aspect, dinosaurs are a very bad example for children. At my children's school, several children were left in tears after one of their classmates (who had evidently been exposed to dinosaurs), became bestially-minded and ran around the classroom roaring and pretending to be a dinosaur. Then he bit three children on the face. One poor girl has been left with a severely dented nose and the whole class was left traumatised by this horrible display.

Nothing about dinosaurs is suitable for children, from their total lack of family values through to their non-existence from any serious scientific point of view.

Recently my sister foolishly gave my two youngest some dinosaurs toys for Christmas. After telling her to get out of my house I burnt the dinosaurs. My children were delighted because they know that dinosaurs are evil. I am fortunate that my family has been very supportive, and has disowned my children's former aunt.

Please, do what you can to get dinosaurs taken off the curriculum. Our school has been recently presented with a 214-signature petition, and following that and our recent protest the headmaster has said that he will take it the governors. We are lucky that he is so sympathetic to our cause, but I fear that others may not be.

If you would like to lend your support to our campaign, we have a Facebook group where we spread facts and research about the dinosaur myth. Hope to see you there! :-)

Ah CTCS. I worked in a (secular) one and it still felt like a cult.

MissMuffetisin · 07/02/2015 14:00

This is obviously a wind up on a global scale. Anyone who has joined the Facebook page will shortly be invited to a " camp" in New Mexico. You will then all be welcomed on to the " ark" ( rocket) , as true believers, bound for paradise. The rocket will launch into oblivion and never heard of again. Yup, it's all a ploy by the Darwin Awards to get rid of the stupid gene for once and for all .

fattymcfatfat · 07/02/2015 14:03

missmuffet haha! Grin

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 07/02/2015 14:08

They are definitely paddling in the shallow end of the gene pool!

ipswichwitch · 07/02/2015 14:10

missmuffet that's reminded me of that Simpsons episode were they join a cult and have to follow the Leader to get on the spaceship to the happy planet whatever. Only it's a man on a pedal bike attached to helium balloons with a tent on top.

All together now "na na na na na na na na Leader.. Leader.... Batman!"

HotNeonDizzle · 07/02/2015 14:35

i for one am glad to see a parent standing up for what they believe in. i myself have no issue with dinosaurs however for personal reasons my family and i firmly believe there is no sun.

our school was very hostile when i asked that the sun be left out of all teachings for my precious baby and at one point i saw a teacher purposefully refer to the illumination of the playground as "sunlight" when i know the sun doesn't exist and the light we see is from the halo glowing on my childs head.

these lies must be stopped from corrupting the youth of today, well done and keep up the fight!

YouAreMyRain · 07/02/2015 14:43

HND has is spot on (apart from perpetuating the myth that the illuminati insist on keep alive, that children actually exist)

rosedavo · 07/02/2015 14:56

The person who started this thread must be joking right....lol

Bunbaker · 07/02/2015 15:03

This thread is now on page 34 and I lost the will to live after half a dozen pages, so I didn't RTFT.

However, after handing the OP a very large grip, perhaps she (or he) might like to consider that watching dinosaurs doesn't make children bite other children's faces, otherwise all children would be scarred for life.

This child clearly has behavioural issues and no amount of not watching dinosaurs is going to change that.

ginmakesitallok · 07/02/2015 15:21

Jeesy peeps, I've joined that cad Facebook group and there are some really scary people on there! It's just madness. Given all the horrors in the world these people really think that it's the dinosaurs who are going to send people to hell? This is one of the reasons I'm an atheist.

This thread is funny, but the people on cad ate downright scary.

Let's all change our user names to dinosaur names and see if we all stop existing

springlamb · 07/02/2015 16:44

Where do Bigfoots stand in all this?
Only I watched a show in the week and there are Bigfoots in Sherwood Forest! And now I'm just not sure about my half term short break at Centerparcs. Discuss.

nickelbarapasaurus · 07/02/2015 17:14

I don't believe in dinosaurs either.

Not at all.

Don't you find it very convenient that it was all started off by a woman?
Women are hysterical.
Mary Anning should be burned at the stake.

nickelbarapasaurus · 07/02/2015 17:25

I'm wearing dinosaur knickers today.
My bum might disappear.

I cannot see a downside to that

fuzzpig · 07/02/2015 17:31

I want dinosaur knickers Envy

isischylde · 07/02/2015 17:50

Jasonandyawegunorts · 07/02/2015 17:56

I think the best evidence against dinosaurs not existing is that Godzilla is a proven fake.

I made the Fuzzpig - i am a talented seamstress. It's one of my day jobs)

fattymcfatfat · 07/02/2015 18:06

jason back off Godzilla, s/hes not even a proper dinosaur! s/hes a mutated lizard, so s/he is irrelevant in this argument....plus if I let you get away with that my ds will never forgive me...im living with godzillas number 1 fan

Jasonandyawegunorts · 07/02/2015 18:11

s/hes not even a proper dinosaur! s

I know, It's a proven fake!

Sad I also find it this early footage
fattymcfatfat · 07/02/2015 18:15

so how can you prove or disprove dinosaurs with something which was never a real dinosaur?

Jasonandyawegunorts · 07/02/2015 18:17

so how can you prove or disprove dinosaurs with something which was never a real dinosaur?

Remember, there were never real dinosaurs. Smile
