to ask if you sad when, after starting a topice, no one responds?

I used to think that I was a good writer. But, since joining MN, I have to face the sad realisation that this is untrue. If I comment on a thread, it dies, and if I start a thread, no one answers! I give up. I know I am a good reader, I will stick to that from now on....

Does anyone else here feel there is a 'mums net clique' quite like that certain group of mums in the school playground who all like a good gossip after drop of time and seem to know EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING and if they don't happen to know. Quite frankly it's not worth knowing.

I replied to an unanswered thread and got a really rude reply from the op then the other replies . I think there is a clique . I was only trying to be nice . It is like being at school again !

Do you think if someone started a thread, then only they responded (writing to themselves all the time, with the same nickname), but did so hundreds of times, would it be deleted? Would it get too much like a blog?

Change your threads I'm on to 'most recently active' or whatever it is, rather than 'my last post'. Then you see less of your own thread-killing action Grin

A biscuit is what you give someone when they are being a massive twat and you CBA to dignify them with a proper response.

Unless of course you are handing out Brew and Biscuit which is entirely different Grin

Well you are doing quite well with this thread OP. You see, that's the trick. Be a bit of a loser and everyone will be in your side. Stride in with an interesting topic for discussion and no one wants to know.

And it is normal to be completely ignored. I went through a patch of being agreed with all over the show which was a bit startling but it's all died off again and everyone ignores me. As I am sure you will now...
