Did you tilt your head? Smile

Just really tired and feeling a bit sad that my baby now has full conversations with me and talks back. Grin He's great fun and hard work and I will never have another snuggly baby of my own.

::maudlin::

TheBonkeyMollocks · 27/09/2012 20:21

Tee2072 · 27/09/2012 20:29

Oh god no. I'm 43, diabetic, fibromayalgic, arthritic...and it took two years to catch that one who is not currently sleeping upstairs... Grin

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 27/09/2012 20:44

Having a pre-teen is lovely, honestly....

most of the time....

Tee2072 · 27/09/2012 20:49

Well, he's only 3, so I have a bit of time to pre-teendom!

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 27/09/2012 20:53

Yes - AGES! I missed DD's baby stage, always regretted that but she was a gorgeous, if opinionated toddler.

StateofConfusion · 27/09/2012 22:24

But empress dontcha know gorgeous but opinionated toddlers are the best kind! --so I keep telling myself whilst waiting for the 'phase' to end--

My evening went awry, mil and fil showed up unexpectedly as we wrestled the dcs to bed for the eleventy billionth time, that wouldn't be too unexpected except they live over 100miles away. Dps Grandad has terminal cancer and they couldn't bare telling us over the phone so drove here!! Dp is in bits, even more so as were only now begining to recover from loosing my Grandma to the same bastard disease.

TheBonkeyMollocks · 27/09/2012 22:31

Oh im so sorry State :(

Lots of snuggles !

StateofConfusion · 27/09/2012 23:09

Thanks bonks I'm ok, just anxious about dp, he doesn't do too great with feelings and tends to just go into himself and be arsy. Sounds selfish but I can't tollerate that kind of behaviour, i can deal with real feelings and helping him however I can.

Tee2072 · 28/09/2012 17:50

Evening all.

Awaiting our curry and having a beer...

I have a feeling I am crawling into bed tonight and not crawling out until Monday. Fibro Sucks!

Any plans for the weekend anyone?

StateofConfusion · 28/09/2012 20:23

Evening all, I have ear ache but other than that all good, two sleeping dcs, and the lady I made a 1st birthday cake for today loved it, got some more bits sorted for dc3 and finally have got some curtains for our ice box living room, it has venetian (sp) blinds but they don't hang right and have gaps and the seals gone on the french doors, either side is all windows so all in all a 90" drop of glass and 180" width. So blardy freeeezing. Anyways got some nice heavy curtains today and already notice the difference

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 28/09/2012 20:37

Ooh beer...

Not a lot planned Tee, usual house stuff. I'm sorry, fibro does stink Sad

All sounds good except the earache State, hope you feel better soon.

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 28/09/2012 22:12

I'm snuggled in an armchair in my living room, wrapped in a fleece with laptop on knee, pretending I'm in the Puddle.

Anyone hungry?

StateofConfusion · 29/09/2012 12:55

Morning all.

TheBonkeyMollocks · 29/09/2012 18:28

Evening!

I HAVE MY LAPTOP BACK!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! :)

I am stupidly happy!

How are we all?

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 29/09/2012 18:39

Thanks State.

That's brilliant Bonkey!

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze · 29/09/2012 18:52

Thanks everyone, that 3 day nap was just what I needed!

I am not amused at having to spend an hour with stain remover and a nail brush trying to get black paint out of Ds1's school jumper. Angry Don't they use water soluble paint these days? If it's not out after the next wash I'll be having words with his teacher...

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 29/09/2012 18:56

It's soooo tempting to just send them with the stains! He's been lovely Dreamy. Have some croissants.

TheBonkeyMollocks · 29/09/2012 18:58

I think I would do!

Its not like school jumpers are cheap!

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze · 29/09/2012 19:03

It's not a compulsory uniform, but no, it wasn't cheap and I'd rather he wear it than his own clothes. Hopefully my vigorous scrubbing will have worked, but I really don't think it should have been necessary!

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 29/09/2012 19:33

Good luck Dreamy. If it's not compulsory then I'd be tempted to get the next batch from Asda or somewhere in same colour. We ended up doing that for DD after so many got lost or stained (or both)

TheBonkeyMollocks · 29/09/2012 19:35

Our school jumpers are £9! Shock

StateofConfusion · 29/09/2012 19:45

Ds ruined umpteen shirts last year, his jumpers are dark purple so you don't notice the black pen marks unless up close, why on earth they allow 4/5yos to have anything that isn't washable is beyond me and makes me really annoyed!

Luckily our school jumpers are £5 each, fleece jackets are £9 but with 2 dc in them it soon adds up.

TheBonkeyMollocks · 29/09/2012 19:50

I got ds a fleece jacket. £13.50! Shock I nearly fainted!

How is you dh State? And you?
