Good luck with the housework Empress !

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 27/09/2012 10:05

The problem is that DD is old enough to have to help... And then it takes twice as long Sad

First person who sees Brian pull her in here for some cake.

StateofConfusion · 27/09/2012 10:36

Morning all.

Glad little tee likes school, and hope he's better soon! Girlstate has had a snotty nose since day 3, despite rarely getting colds in the past almost 4years! But she's fine in herself fortunatly I can't imagine the fuss if I had to keep her home.

Best of luck empress tie the rope to the puddle and around your waist, dcs bedrooms are terrifying!

joys of school run get to tescos early and the doughnuts are still hot :) I did not eat two already.

Tee2072 · 27/09/2012 10:40

Okay, I need some advice.

My husband, who is a bit over protective, is worried that LittleTee picked this up because he has been walking to school all week. Granted, we got soaked but, of course, you don't catch a cold from being wet. MrTee thinks it's because LittleTee was so tired.

So he thinks we should take the pushchair on occasion. It won't always be possible, and starting next week he'll be walking less because his childminder will pick him up twice a week. I am afraid that using the pushchair will make kids tease him and call him a baby.

LittleTee has not complained about the walk at all, not even in the pouring rain.

What do you think? Pushchair? Keep walking and he'll get used to it?

It's about 1.5 miles one way, BTW. We go at his pace.

StateofConfusion · 27/09/2012 10:52

How old is he tee I've only just stopped using the buggy completely for dd, she is 4 in November, but I only used it for long shopping trips etc (my convenience more than her tiredness)

Obviously tiredness and a change in weather will make them more susceptible to bugs but I'm sure in a week or two with the child minder fetching him a few days he will be just fine, if he's anything like my dd if I took a pram once I'd never be allowed to leave it behind. Fwiw at our school most people drive despite it only being fed by the estate its on (so max 5min walk) my brothers preschool nursery often had buggys left outside as it had people from a few miles away walking in.

TheBonkeyMollocks · 27/09/2012 10:55

I would keep him walking .

He can't fall backon a pushchair forever and if he hasn't complained then he can obviously manage.

Ds walked about the same distance to nursery . Granted it would have been easier to push him but i figured he had to get used to walking some when!

But then I can be a hard bitch Wink

Little Tee has probably picked up a bug from. another child. It happens. He will get better and then get another ......

Tee2072 · 27/09/2012 11:05

See, that's what I'm thinking. He'll get used to it, he hasn't complained even once, but MrTee is being so forceful about it!

There's also the fact that there is no where to leave it at pre-school and I'm not always coming from or heading right to school at drop off/pick up time.

He's 3.3 BTW.

TheBonkeyMollocks · 27/09/2012 11:08

Plus...people give you really funny looks when you push empty pushchair!

Can you use the 'Mummy knows best' line?

Tee2072 · 27/09/2012 11:18

He sees where I am coming from, Bonkey but he's also so much more PFB than I have every been or will ever be!

Thanks you all made me feel much better for sticking to my guns!

Tee2072 · 27/09/2012 12:24

::Runs back into Puddle and hides from the loons in the rest of MN::

I'm never leaving y'all again. Those people are scary.

StateofConfusion · 27/09/2012 16:04

What did they do now tee

Whilst I'm here, any ideas how to damage an elc keyboard beyond repair, the dcs --found it after I'd hidden it months ago-- won't stop playing with it and its soo annoying.

Tee2072 · 27/09/2012 16:26

I've already forgotten. Done something ridiculous on some thread somewhere, I'm sure.

Hit it with a hammer?

LittleTee's fever keeps coming back but not very high. I am hoping it will be gone by bedtime and he can go back to school tomorrow. He is acting perfectly normal except for asking to go take a nap after lunch!

TheBonkeyMollocks · 27/09/2012 16:31

Grin State I actually do!

You have to hurl it full force (preferably a good distance) during a really really bad day at a solid wall! Wink

Disclaimer: Twas a really really really bad day and no children were present during my tantrum ! I did replace more fool me !

Or drown it?
Possibly less violent!

TheBonkeyMollocks · 27/09/2012 16:35

I hope he's ok tomorrow Tee!

Ds is over tired and stroppy

I have put The Lion King soundtrack on loudly un.my kitchen to cheer me up.....its working!
Grin

StateofConfusion · 27/09/2012 16:41

Bonkey I've already pushed the bloody thing of a 7ft wardrobe, now it rattles, won't break though, the wardrobe was my fail safe plan --thats how I killed the xylo-piano I hated so much-- ds and dd have abandoned it now and are very quietly watching tv, so it may live another day.

Sending get well soon vibes to littletee.

Envy at lion king, this pair have the jake and the neverland pirates cd...

Tee2072 · 27/09/2012 16:41

We have just gotten a text that LittleTee's Saturday class is cancelled. I think I'm relieved. Even if he's well enough for school tomorrow, it will be good for him to have a quiet weekend, I think.

I know what I wanted to say before...I am turning into my grandmother. I am going shopping for hankies tomorrow. I am sick of wet paper tissues in my handbag.

Shall I keep it tucked up the sleeve of my cardi?

StateofConfusion · 27/09/2012 19:17

Of course tee where else would you keep one? Can you still get pretty hankies? I still dig the muslins out when these are snot monsters, tissues just do a bad job compared!

Tee2072 · 27/09/2012 19:23

Yup. If I can't find them tomorrow at M&S or Debenhems, I've seen several kinds at Amazon. Embroidered and everything!

Now...rose water or lavender? Grin
