He is now singing....

He's a labrador/flat coat retriever cross, but he is fecking HUGE, we had a Labrador and she was smaller than him fully grown and he's 7mnths! I'm 5"8 and if he stands on his hind legs he can look me in the eye!

Very handsome dog, utterly adorable and a bit thick, this week alone he's eaten candles, dvd cases, phone charger, 3 usb sticks, his own collar, some potatoes, apples, his bed, socks, a bottle of suncream... My mum told me this once I'd taken him home! He is very good apart from the eating of inanimate objects. Thankfully we don't have stuff anywhere, all he can do I knaw cupboard doors and lick my hard flooring.

After he ate his own bed we went looking for one big enough for him, he ended up with my dds toddler bed mattress and I made a cover for it, he fills and overlaps it, I'm sure he has great dane in him.

I really need to drag myself to bed but I'm now worried Milos going to eat my cooker or fridge door and I'm looking about the place for anything he can get his teeth around!

Oh and he ate a bag of frozen chips and a litre of icecream after my sister didn't shut the freezer properly!

My Lab ate a carrier bag once. She had blue poo .

He managed to behave all night thank goodness! Dp and ds have taken the loon for a walk, dds watching peppa and I really want to sleep even though we didn't get up until 9 I am exhausted!

My lab x (x'd with what we don't know..her mum had lurcher and poodle in her lineage ) has, in her time, eaten:

• my CD case and chewed the entire contents (ie, I had no music to listen to because she trashed the lot)

• 4 advent calendars. No matter how high I put them/hid them, she found them and ate them. Try finding an advent calendar and then scoffing 23 chocolates the day before Christmas Eve.

• cat food tin, from the allegedly dog-proof bin. There is a scar on her tongue to prove it.

• a tub of margarine, had it been butter she'd have been in serious trouble, as it was I had to take her to the vets anyway as she was so sick.

However, my mum's dog, Stanley the Standard Poodle (R.I.P ) once stole my purse, I came home to find him in his bed surrounded by tattered leather and chewed cards. I freaked because I also had £100 in the purse. Assuming he'd eaten it I may have cried a little. Mum, whilst cleaning up the mess, took out his cover to shake it and found my money, in tact, tucked neatly under his covers!

He also once ate 10 frozen chicken fillets

He also once tried to play with a baby rat in the back garden, he was most put out when he bounced on it and it stopped moving.

It ate cds brian that is impressive, our old lab was 17 when she died and just as fecking naughty as the day we got her, so why my mum thought another was a good idea is beyond me, he's been very good though, Mum arrived and he's gone stupid little sod! Old lab ate 4 thortons selection packs in under 10 minutes she located them, behind piles of other presents and the christmas tree, unwrapped, demolished the boxes and undid the plastic packaging, she was impressive! Milo is worse though, as its mainly stuff that's NOT edible!

Well I've been in a vile mood all day (naught 5yo, grumpy dp, and dp forgot to pay sky and spent the money elsewhere so NO tv aaaarghhhh) but have cheered up dramatically at finding an amby nature nest for sale up the road!

I've taken a tier of the birthday cake to Honeydragon's new realm as a housewarming present, I hope that's ok. If they don't eat it I'll bring it back.

empress a weird crib hammock type thing for dc3, dd was a horrendous sleeper and I've heard more and more good things about these ambys and since we sold our normal crib after dd never slept in it I figured why not --im also terrified of another non sleeper-- if we could find one at a resonable price.

Well ds has been so angry all day I'm considering a doctors appointment, he's been boiling up all summer and now seems worse than ever for no reason (eg, shouting at the grass) its really upsetting me and totally out of character he's still eating/sleeping etc as he once was. :( I understand school unsettled him but he was the same in the holiday.

Got some more uniform for dd today, horrah! She can go to nursery now and look lovely she seems so young but she is 4 in two months.

She does and don't let mumsnet hear but her nursery jumpers are purple so she is thrilled (ofc allowing her to like a girls colour makes me a failure and I just got flamed for saying she has pink shoes!)
