doh, forgot - state sorry to hear you are having a bad time Sad

EmpressOfTheGoldFlames · 11/09/2012 19:36

Thanks Brian. Work stuff's almost ready, house will look ok with another hour's work so DD and I are going on a chocolate run.

State I'm so sorry - are lots of them similar? I don't suppose it's worth talking to the school?

OI, looking forward to the pics!

StateofConfusion · 11/09/2012 20:55

bonkey I've set my goal date for next school year, thinking that its less upheavel for ds to start a new school at a new year. Obviously I'd love before then but that's a realistic time scale. Albeit too long.

Sorry to hear your having a crap time brian come here and share my blankets cushions and snacks.

empress the school is a bit of a lost cause we've spoken to them so many times and get nowhere, just concentrating on having moved for the next school year and placing them both somewhere better.

I'm just having one of those "woe is me" phases I get sometimes when really I have a lot to be happy about. Its my birthday on sunday too! :)

BrianCoxIsUpTheDuff · 12/09/2012 09:27

oo, joint Puddlehumper birthday!!

cake

StateofConfusion · 12/09/2012 09:53

That cake is amazing, I think since its a joint birthday we need it.

StateofConfusion · 12/09/2012 12:42

Ok puddle humpers, I have a confession of sheer stupidity.

You know I've had an on going battle to get a place in nursery for my dd? well dp had enough today and asked for a meeting with the headteacher as our neighbours dd is a year younger than ours and got a nursery visit.

Turns out someone really stupid wrote dds DOB down as 2009, not 2008. And in my handwriting.
Blush

We are off for a visit this afternoon and they'll let us know when she can start.

EmpressOfTheGoldFlames · 12/09/2012 16:34

My birthday cake too? It was only a week ago .

Brian, I hope things get better soon. State, that's brilliant but someone's very norty for faking your handwriting!

BonkeyMollocks · 12/09/2012 16:59

Oh that cake is amazing!!! Shock

I have a roast a-cooking!

State Great news for your dd.
And whoever was coping your handwriting needs a good talking to! Grin

Brian I hope your feeling better! :)

Empress did you get everything done?

StateofConfusion · 12/09/2012 17:45

Ah go on the empress, we'll share!

Blush I am a bit mortified although we've been into the office with dd sooo many times she could never ever pass for two, she's tall and never shuts up! Why didn't they say before! Well anyway she had her visit and is excited, but ill expect tears, she's never been left with anyone but my Mum.

EmpressOfTheGoldFlames · 12/09/2012 18:25
Grin

Almost, thanks, Bonkey. Boss was very happy with the work, DSis and BIL are arriving about 9pm and I just need to feed DD, make beds, check I know how to inflate new airbed, do quick final tidy and prep DW's food for when she gets in from work. The irony is, I KNOW DSis won't care what state the house is in. It's all for me.

EmpressOfTheGoldFlames · 13/09/2012 20:36

And they've gone, and it was lovely. And breathe...

You know, we must share the birthday cake with BabyOI too. Symbolically at least.

StateofConfusion · 13/09/2012 21:26

I think we need cupcakes too

Glad you had a nice time with your sister empress

I have to go buy school uniform for my dd tomorrow she starts nursery tuesday.

EmpressOfTheGoldFlames · 14/09/2012 09:40

Oh yes we always need cupcakes.

My birthday cake from DW was a pile of dark chocolate brownies, drizzled with melted white chocolate GrinGrin

StateofConfusion · 14/09/2012 16:02

Now that sounds like my idea of a cake

Well I took dd uniform shopping today, fecking nightmare everywhere had removed the stock for sodding halloween stuff!

BrianCoxIsUpTheDuff · 14/09/2012 18:57

Chocolate overdose anyone?

I tried (going waaaayy back to the norty thread) Kopperberg non-alcoholic Pear Cider. It is very sweet but also very refreshing and makes a change from water, cordial and fruit juice!

Feeling bit better thanks for asking, just going to take a bit of time to settle my mind. Nausea and tiredness and hormones not helping, think it makes things seem worse than they are.

Have a lovely Friday evening everyone

Smile
EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 14/09/2012 19:28

That's a right pain, State Sad.

Did you manage to find anything anywhere?

Glad you're feeling better, Brian. Maybe we should have a proper birthday party and invite MN. After all they enjoyed the musical.

BrianCoxIsUpTheDuff · 14/09/2012 20:25

will there be jelly and ice cream?

BonkeyMollocks · 14/09/2012 20:29

Did I hear the word party??

BrianCoxIsUpTheDuff · 14/09/2012 21:08
StateofConfusion · 14/09/2012 21:37

Yes there will be jelly and icecream and pineapple and cheese hedgehogs!

Managed to get dds uniform 1 pinafore, 2 polo tops and 3 tights, going back tomorrow and hoping her size was in a delivery as that's not going to do a week of nursery!! Also NO shoes in 3 different clarks/start rite shops in her size! Resorted to a pair from asda my friend who works for shoephoric checked. Bloody Nightmare!

I'm nesting madly for only 26 (tomorrow) weeks! Just re-organised my bedroom and all the baby bits, it did need doing as stuff was scattered all over but I never get the urge to tidy or organise!

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 14/09/2012 22:33

And sausages on sticks and chocolate biscuits and POM BEARS!

StateofConfusion · 14/09/2012 22:40

I do actually LOVE pom bears, there's just something they have other crisps don't!

I've got my mums puppy over night, he is rather lovely, despite being the size of a small horse at 7mnths old. Last time he was at my house he couldn't rest his head on my sofa, today he just stepped on it like there was no height difference from the floor. I'm not getting serious sulky looks as I dragged his bed into the front room and directed him to it.

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 14/09/2012 23:02

What breed is he State?
Apart from the height, sounds very like a dachshund I know who would expect to be lifted onto the sofa Grin

Do you think we should decorate the puddle?

BonkeyMollocks · 14/09/2012 23:18

i love them too!

Dachshund's have freakishly deep barks! I knocked on a door once to be barked at and I thought 'oh shit thats a big dog' then this sweet little thing came wobbling up Confused

Ds has been to a party. He had coke. He is still awake.....

EmpressOfTheGoldOceans · 14/09/2012 23:28

Dachshunds think they're Alsatians!

Bonkey, good luck...
