What is the point of them?

Really?

Yes, that's what I meant - that's my only point of reference. Is Hully Mrs Overall or the Celia Whasserface character do we think?

ScarahStratton · 22/10/2011 09:50

'Soup of the day, Sir?'

TheVermiciousKnid · 22/10/2011 09:51

Never mind Crossroads. The list, the list! Keep up with the list! No wonder Hully is in despair if you lot don't keep up with the list.

gobbolinothewitchscatinboots · 22/10/2011 09:55

I too am on my phone.

But can someone please add garden kneeling pads and compost heaps.

ScarahStratton · 22/10/2011 09:57

I have a gardening apron. With special pockets. And a little bag from the RHS for gardening tools.

In my defence my Mum gave them to me. I have never used them. I hate gardening.

Hullygully · 22/10/2011 09:58

Sarah.

The point is that I am at a crossroads and I see a motel. Like Crossroads Motel with Benny. Geddit?

BellaDonnaSansMerci · 22/10/2011 10:02

Is it a crossroads, Hully? All I can see is a roundabout...

rycooler · 22/10/2011 10:02

Hmm - I see Hully more as Meg from Crossroads. A wonderful woman but hiding immense pain - her life ended in tragedy of course ( I think they sacked her, killed her off in the motel fire or summat (( memory a bit hazy ))) She became a gay icon,
but as you never watched it you won't have a clue what I'm talking about so I'll go with Celia thingy from AA.

BellaDonnaSansMerci · 22/10/2011 10:02

With a dog, a snail and a girl with huuuuge shoes.

ScarahStratton · 22/10/2011 10:07

So Hully is a Gay Icon? Wow.

I think I get it Hully. Can you see Bella's snail?

Hullygully · 22/10/2011 10:14

No, where?

OP posts:
Pagwatch · 22/10/2011 10:14

Yes. She is Meg.

All serene but hiding angst. Meg is also a massive gay icon.

rycooler · 22/10/2011 10:14

Yes, in the top 5 I'd say.
Marilin Monroe
Judy Garland
Kylie
Meg from Crossroads
Hully from Mumsnet

Hullygully · 22/10/2011 10:16

I'm really more Bet lynch. Especially the leopard print.

I see Pag as Betty Turpin and ry as Annie Walker

Sarah is Stan Ogden and Sue is Ena

OP posts:
Hullygully · 22/10/2011 10:17

Bella is little Sally

Ena was sterling. Old school stuff.

For the love of all things holy, I don't want to know anything at all about Peter Stringfellows meat.

I am Margot. Fact.

Hullygully · 22/10/2011 10:32

But what about the hotpot?

OP posts:
Hullygully · 22/10/2011 10:33

And dear List Manager Vermicious is Alf Roberts.

OP posts:
Pagwatch · 22/10/2011 10:33

I liked Elsie Tanner. She was all fags and smouldering.

SuePurblybiltFromBitsofCorpses · 22/10/2011 10:34

"Ena Sharples was one of the original characters of Coronation Street.

A Christian woman with high morals, she was well known for her interfering and obstructive nature. Her vicious tongue had alienated her against her two daughters, Vera and Madge.

Ena was very strong minded and critical, even to her friends Minnie Caldwell and Martha Longhurst, with whom she often shared a glass of milk stout."
