To think that middle aged women are really a bit pointless?

What is the point of them?

Really?

Verm - Fitflops are the best thing for your feet. Comfort-a-go-go. I have a squillion pairs, incl boots. Not sexy, not cool, but heaven for the wide-of-hoof like moi.

ConstanceTenchOfZombies · 21/10/2011 16:41

Ooh what are the boots like Pinot? Having worn fitflops from march to October nothing else feels comfy, worth the investment you reckon?

rycooler · 21/10/2011 16:41

TVK - your lists are wonderful.

Sometimes - quite often in fact, I wonder why I bother logging onto Mumsnet - then I read posts like yours and it all makes sense.

Ripeberry · 21/10/2011 16:42

You might as well say what is the point of old people then? Hmm They just clog up the shops and libraries and complain.
Until you get to a 'certain age' don't moan about the 'worth' of another human being.
But maybe the OP is a troll anyway?

TheVermiciousKnid · 21/10/2011 16:44

Pinot - for the wide of hoof, you say? Comfy? Hm, I might have to look into that.

Rycooler - Blush Sadly I had to resign from list making due to repeated sabotage. I hope those people feel suitably guilty now.

ConstanceTenchOfZombies · 21/10/2011 16:44

Yeah op is definitely a troll Grin

SuePurblybiltFromBitsofCorpses · 21/10/2011 16:44

Lizzen vair carefully, I shall say zees only ONE MILLION TIMES.

Read the thread before posting or you will look like a knob.

HTH

FellatioNelson · 21/10/2011 16:44

I have Fitflop boots too. You know you are a peri-menopausal Deirdre who has ceased to care about your image when you purchase a Fitflop boot.

FellatioNelson · 21/10/2011 16:45

ShockShockShock Hully! She called you a troll!

SuePurblybiltFromBitsofCorpses · 21/10/2011 16:46

I covet Fitflop boots.

TheVermiciousKnid · 21/10/2011 16:46

Read the thread before posting or you will look like a knob.

Oh yes. You need to read the whole thread. And every single item on every single list.

OP is definitely a troll. Probably a middle aged troll. Oh well.

PinotScreechio · 21/10/2011 16:48

Connie definitely! The pair I wear now are in year 3 and still look great when I can be arsed to suede-brush them. The ones I have are these but a friend has the Dash boots which are cheaper and they fit the same. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend (and I'm a tight arse with £)

SuePurblybiltFromBitsofCorpses · 21/10/2011 16:48

Twas a general guideline, for everyone and for every thread,VK. I am equal ops that way.

ThePathanKhansWoman · 21/10/2011 16:49

Hully ya little fecker Smile. I'm just getting used to the heat, excess hair, memory loss, NOW you tell me i have no point!

I was gonna say something clever, but i've forgotten, stay there it'll come back to me .

garlicBreathZombie · 21/10/2011 16:49

You have a point, Vermicious, or at least you would have a point if you weren't so middle-aged. It's absolutely necessary to be MA in order to blame Thatcher for everything, because no younger people have ever lived in anything but the Grasping Individualist culture she so thoughtfull provided Grin

The woman was a disgrace to middle-aged women!

Fellatio's correct about Fitflops, by the way. The son't really make your bum pert but, boy, are they comfy!!

Comfy ... Now there's a lovely MA word ...

PinotScreechio · 21/10/2011 16:49

You know you are a peri-menopausal Deirdre who has ceased to care about your image when you purchase a Fitflop boot.

garlicBreathZombie · 21/10/2011 16:50

The son't - they don't.

That'll learn me to watch the Corrie catch-ups while typing [hblush]

FellatioNelson · 21/10/2011 16:50

Oh! Oh! MrsD, speaking of practising your street talk, I got properly told off by my 16 year old the other day for saying that somewhere was 'a bit of a trek'.

Apparently, very street teenagers use the word trek and therefore I must not. WTF? Confused Since when?

ConstanceTenchOfZombies · 21/10/2011 16:52

My sister announced the other day she was quite looking forward to being 'that certain age' as she rarely feels warm she would love the hot flushes! I do love her...

Bugsy2 · 21/10/2011 16:52

Jeez Fellatio, Fitflops flipflops are bad enough - how ugly are the boots? Bet your going to tell me they're really comfy!

Hullygully · 21/10/2011 16:54

I am a troll. Sad but true

SuePurblybiltFromBitsofCorpses · 21/10/2011 16:54

Like wotsherface Kelly telling Wee Louis he couldn't say swagger. Quite right of course.

I have been middle-aged since about 22. It's a very comfortable place to be. Apart from the pointlessness, clearly.

Hullygully · 21/10/2011 16:55

Sue, I think earlier you meant: RTFT

OP posts:
FellatioNelson · 21/10/2011 16:56

I know a woman who said she breathed a bit sigh of relief when she finally got to 35, beacuse she had always felt sensible and middle aged, and she could finally ignore the pressure to be 'young'. Hmm Loon.
