new piccies are up

Neither kitten gained weight since yesterday - does anyone know if this is normal? Or OK? I'm guessing it's OK for their weight gain to slow down after a few days but....

Oooo lovely photos!

I still have a soft spot for Meow, similar colours to our cat!

SummerRain · 25/04/2011 14:35

OH. So cute, they're growing up so fast!

LaWeasel · 25/04/2011 15:06

Oh Pinot! They're adorable - lost the thread over the weekend.

Our cat also went missing, when he turned up this morning (late) for his breakfast I almost double checked he wasn't pregnant and shiftily planning to give birth in the garden. He is very definately neutered and male though!

Sorry to read about Rosie - the other two are lovely though and doing so well.

CestTout · 25/04/2011 15:17

New pictures are lovely, they are so scrummy. Pinot you are doing a wonderful job. Looking forward to hearing about their antics in a few weeks time when they are tearing around your house!

TheOriginalFAB · 25/04/2011 15:35

This is the first thread I have checked on today and while out I bought DS2 the Mog and the vet book. Couldn't see any kitten ones that weren't too young for him.

Off to coo over the new photos now. Grin

Been away for a few days. So sorry to read about Rosie Sad but the other two look gorgeous. Hope they both continue to make progress.

5inthebed · 25/04/2011 18:49

Ginger is adorable! You are doing so well with them.

TapselteerieO · 25/04/2011 21:46

Pinot I hope the weight gain slowing is okay, I had a look online, saw this which seem sfull of advice, wish I could help, but my experience of trying to hand rear abandoned kittens was not very good, sadly.

It sounds like you are doing everything right with them, keeping them warm.

Pinot · 25/04/2011 22:13

Thanks so much Tapsel :) You're a star!

You are welcome Pinot, I am a compulsive googler I will look for any info you need, if it helps you with your wee kittens then that is all that matters!!!

CatPower · 25/04/2011 23:40

DP and I are home from holiday and squeeeing loudly over the kitties and their baby blue eyes. Too much cute for one thread. You're doing such a great job with these little cuties, Pinot!

Our own very pregnant cat is lying between us purring loudly. She's got just a few more days left so tomorrow I'm going to put together a bed for her and hope she likes it.

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 26/04/2011 01:08

Pinot, forgive me if I'm being presumptuous, but I wonder if a bit of cold, hard cash would help you and the kittens? I saw another poster days ago offer some feed, and mention of vet bills... have you a paypal address?

KeepCalmAndCurryOn · 26/04/2011 09:38

Good idea, Old Lady. It takes a village, and all that ...

CestTout · 26/04/2011 09:43

Another poster happy to contribute to Ginger and Meow :-)

Pinot · 26/04/2011 09:46

I'm beyond touched that these little kittens have moved you OldLady. You have a very, very kind heart :)

In kittie news, Gingers eyes are now both fully open and I squeeeeee every time he seems to focus on my face - too cute!!

Meow's right eye has just opened a teeny bit and is a bit weepy so I'm cleaning with cooled boiled water and waiting to see her lovely blue eyes :)

The kids are back at school today so this morning was interesting trying to get everyone organised and out of the house/fed and settled. It was a bit stressful I must say but practice makes perfect, right

Awww cute kitties, I would be willing to put something towards their food/vet bills x

The3Bears · 26/04/2011 10:20

Awww I think your doin a great job, so thoughtful of you to give these kittens all your love and attention x
So sad about Rosie :(
Hope the others continue to do well x
We have just got a 6 week old kitten we've named her Mittens she's so cute, kittens are just adorable.

SummerRain · 26/04/2011 10:22

If you have some sea salt you could dissolve a tiny bit in some hot water and let it cool. Very effective on runny eyes.

GitAwfMayLend · 26/04/2011 10:36

SHRIEK and SHRIEK AGAIN at the photos.

I love little triangle shaped kitten eyes.

Aren't they lovely little babies. And how cute is Meow's little black smudge near her nose.

I would not be able to stop myself kissing those little kittens all over.

I can't wait to show DP - he is as much a fool about cats as I am. DD loves this pics as well - she has been looking for kittens requiring homes and has found two ginger brothers and the pics of those have made me melt.

I would be more than happy as well to contribute to vets bills - Pinot you are an absolute angel, there is no doubt that your kindness has saved these kittens.

Sad about the poor mum, I hope she is OK.
