I'd actually like it very much if this thread led to some MNers contacting their local rescue places to rehome some kittens/cats.

That would be amazing.

Go on - you know you wanna!! :) :)

Pinot, you have awakened the cat lover in me. I don't even like cats really. I'm the doggiest dog person ever - but OMG!!
They are gorgeous!
Well done on such a good job - they look so plump and happy and awwwww :)

clayre · 20/04/2011 16:32

Awwwww they are adorable! I have been following the thread since it started, my mum hand reared a kitten when we were children it was such hard work, you are doing a great job and have a heart of gold!

TheOriginalFAB · 20/04/2011 16:38

I can't have a kitten while FabCat is with us but once she isn't we will be going to the rescue place to get rescue kittens.

thefirstMrsDeVere · 20/04/2011 16:43

I have just found this thread. How lovely.

I have to say I love Pets at Home too. They looked at my found budgie this morning and didnt charge me.

I dont like pet stores that sell animals but I have to admit I am impressed with PAH.
I switched to them after some very pushy tactics from my usual vet cost me a fortune. Dog is insured but I couldnt claim for what they ended up doing.
I find PAH no fuss and very customer friendly.

They sell some weird stuff though!

Kittens.....awwwwww.

SummerRain · 20/04/2011 17:10

AWWWWWWWWW. They are so damn cute Grin

I'm loving the fat tummy one.

CestTout · 20/04/2011 17:12

Another person who thinks they are.gorgeous and LOVES the ginger ones tummy, they all look exceptionally content. Well done you :-)

GwendolineMaryLacey · 20/04/2011 17:22

Sorry, I just have to join in and Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I would rehome cats if I could but DH is asthmatic and allergic to them. Of course if I turfed him out... :o

LollipopViolet · 20/04/2011 17:33

Awwwwwwwwwwwww I love cats, but have had dogs my whole life as my parents don't like cats. As soon as I'm able (so not living at home) I'm going to get a young rescue cat/kitten.

ilovesprouts · 20/04/2011 17:36

SQUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEE

Too damn cute! I'm not allowed another kitten (yet). My next one is definitely a ginge. Although I say that every time. I have two black and whites, the lady at the cat rescue sees me coming every time! Grin

Pinot... how many days old are they now?

TheMonster · 20/04/2011 18:33

My DS has just had a look at the photos and now wants one Grin

Pinot · 20/04/2011 18:42

I think they were born on Saturday or early Sunday. We discovered them on Sunday - by chance as DH was moving the bbq and they were hidden under the tarpaulin. Vet on sunday said they were 24hrs maximum.

Summer do you think they're OK? Should they be bigger? Smaller?

SummerRain · 20/04/2011 18:48

They look brilliant, clean, warm, cosy and well fed... I was just trying to figure out how close they are to opening their eyes. (huge Sqeeee moment ahead of you there Wink)

Pinot · 20/04/2011 18:54

Phew! I had a proper old-skool new parent panic then!! How ridiculous - must remember they are cats not babies but they're cute lil baby cats and so so sweet and my kids are all big and not cute now Grin

Soooooo..... you've teased me now! When will the eyes open? And when can they start to hear? So exciting!

Thumper gave me her 1st purr after tea tonight :)

Lovely lovely thread...given me a warm feeling inside!! Well done Pinot and please keep posting! We have 2 rescue cats, got as kittens...they are fab Smile

SummerRain · 20/04/2011 19:03

In my (admittadly limited) experiance they've generally started peeping around the one week mark... I had one look right at me at 5 days though and another who was closer to 2 weeks so it varies (just like with all babies)

I'm getting so broody hearing about all the purring Envy

ensure · 20/04/2011 19:06

Aw! Lovely pictures!

Hangingbellyofbabylon · 20/04/2011 19:08

aw, they are super! you are doing such a good job. xxx

Pinot · 20/04/2011 19:09

How about if I tell you that Meow (the original one) won't suckle unless she's got both her teeny paws pressing against my finger?

squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I love them soooooo much, only tempered by my nerves that they're still so vulnerable.

!!
