I know what I would do.

  1. Buy a 5 bedroom house so we all get our own room, big garden so James could have a dog.
  1. Get private medical insurance so we never again have to await scans and results.
  1. Buy Shabs a villa in Faliraki.
  1. Throw a big party for all my lovely lovely mad mums on here.
  1. Treat myself to highlights.
  1. Buy bags and bags of M&S choccy nuts!

Hi everyone. I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who posted on my light at the end of the tunnel thread last night. Your words of encouragement have given me a real boost and had a much better day today. Trying to take it a day at a time. . Also helps that DH read the post over my shoulder just as I burst into tears so finally gets that I'm not just "a bit tired"!!
Babies really alert today and spent much time gazing at each other so very sweet. Dd1 a bit challenging but hey ho...

Went to the GP today about DT2's lack of eating and have been referred to a paediatrician. I can see the tunnel now, if not the light. I just need someone to tell me that he has not gluten / lactose intollerence (they're rife in our families) and I will accept that he is just fussy. I can deal with that (I think). Wish me luck. I am starting to feel a little brighter.

frumpygrumpy · 26/06/2009 21:57

I find, if you stick it out long enough, and ignore those who try to pull you off path, your instinct rarely lets you down. Keep going hen. I send you all my vibes for happy times xxx.

I have a crying DD1. Second time tonight. Must go.

Momma, you must be on the third cocktail by now non?

oooggs · 26/06/2009 22:14

magnummum - you are welcome, it is very hard but very rewarding. You are right to take one day at a time - I still do!!

Momma - bet you are having a fab time

merlypuss - hope dt is just fussy

Hiya girls....just got in from a typical night at my darling friends. We have debated, drank too much, sang too loudly etc etc. OMG what a year we, as a family have had, thankfully no illness but what a year. House move, new baby grandson etc etc etc. I think it is finally getting to me now. My darling Matt is 25 on the 30th June.....sooooooooo many years since I held him, kissed him or even smiled at him. 25 YEARS OLD....only a few days after his birthday - Nikos, the beautiful one, will turn 26!!! So confusing and sad.

Mind you, Matt loved birthdays, christmas, easter etc etc - lived from one important day to the next!! As he said, in his wise way, 'Mam we dont live very long - you have to grab each day by the balls and shake it GIVE THEM HELL IN HEAVEN MATTIE AND MAKE SURE YOU GET A CAKE

TK has arrived. She's calm and dry. Arrived with a smile and looking perfectly coiffed. The antithesis of Momma and I (I refer you to the "drowned rat" comment)!

frumpygrumpy · 27/06/2009 21:42

Drowned rat? Are you referring to me? I am sitting upon couch, pizza in one hand, wine in t'other and I am Glastonbury Central Bruce Springsteen just did a surprise appearance with the Gaslight Anthem to thunderous shock from the crowd, Neil Young went bonkers on his stage, Franz Ferdinand are headlining one stage and Bruce headlining the other. So many stages, so many good bands, so few TVs I am a happy girl. I wish I was in Hyde Park tomorrow, I so wish. Did I tell you I will be in Dublin two weeks tonight? I have a one-on-one with Bruce. Just me and the thousands of watchers.

So, how is a'bdy?

PINKFROG! Where is you doll?

have just been reading through your posts and saw FG's one about your father in law. How deeply insensitive and cruel can a family be? I reeeeeeally hear your words about how to approach your chap about it. My husband's family can be quite unkind to him but I can't really talk to him about how awful they are to him.

It's so damaging to treat anyone with anything other than love and thoughtfulness. I feel for your predicament and for your partner too.

About the lottery - last week the jackpot here in NZ was $30 million. Considering there are only 4 million people here I thought we were in with a fighting chance of landing it. The first thing I would do is buy first class tickets to fly home and see my parents. Imagine paying first class for your toddler's own seat?!
Last year when I flew back to NZ on my own with my 2 yr old son, 30 weeks pregnant with twins, I flew Business class on Air NZ. We splashed out because of my size. My God it was dreamy I loved it. It has, unfortunately, given me a taste of how the other half live. In 2 months I am flying home for 2 weeks on my own with my 8 mth old twins. Can you imagine how pleased whoever I am sitting next to will be when they see us get on?

shabster · 28/06/2009 08:20

LOL at your trip home Jenny

Morning girls xx

MarsLady · 28/06/2009 14:02

Momma's on the train. She has gone! Along with a bottle of Cuban rum. I'm sure we didn't drink that much!!!!!!!!!

Was lovely seeing her and TK. We had a fantastic Jamaican meal. Om nom nom!!!!!!!!

frumpygrumpy · 28/06/2009 14:26

Momma's on the train.........wasn't there a film with that title?????!!!

Bit peed off today. Not sure why. Could just be that Ive had other people's children to look after this weekend and I need some time off. Anyone else find weekends the best and worst bit of the week? DP is grumpy and there is no talking to him about it. Tried earlier and got my head bitten off.

tkband3 · 28/06/2009 14:33

I think it was 'Throw Momma from the train' FG .

Had a fabbo time last night with Mars and Momma. Yummy food, gorgeous cocktails and yes, Mars, I'm afraid quite a lot of rum was consumed! Boy, was I glad that Sundays are my lie-in day .

Momma has pictures - DH now a bit suspicious that I had my hair done yesterday and then went out, so if you could post a couple Momma, I could show him them as proof that I wasn't with, umm, a gorgeous German, for example . Along with the fact that I was seemingly quite happy for him to go to Singapore with work for 3 (yes 3 ) weeks in the school holidays, he thinks I'm up to something. Quite when he thinks I'd manage to be up to something I'm not sure .

Ho hum, we were on our way out, but it now looks like it might pour, so stuck in again with MIL .

frumpygrumpy · 28/06/2009 14:54

save me from myself please!

TKB, LOL, that is the one!! But Don't Anyone Throw Our Momma From The Train!!!!
