D'y ever wonder why we wash towels if we only use them after baths?

I know there was no time and I feel all weighed down with the responsibility of it all, but here we are ladies, a new home...

shabster · 26/04/2009 22:25

Oh My God - I have 'flattened some grass to this song' LOL

snorris · 26/04/2009 22:41

Budge up . Make room for a knackered old mare .

I did not have a good night last night! Generally I don't do late nights and S does. Normally DH's job to do bedtime but as I was at the hospital and he was home I had to do it. Bloody Peppa Pig/Wonderpets/Fifi interspersed with "I want my Daddy". I think I may have zonked out before she did, leaving the nurse to deal with her . To top it off, dd5 woke for a feed at 3am and then I was kept awake by a doctor using the phone at the nurses' desk which is right outside the room we're in. It wasn't so much her using the phone being the problem, more THE LOUD VOICE SHE WAS USING!! Prior to that she'd also clipped-clopped down the corridor in high heels .

shabster · 26/04/2009 22:45

Hiya Snorris - oh yes the dreaded 'clip clop, clip clop' on hospital words in the wee small hours

You must be soooooooooooooo knackered. OMG its all coming back to me now - I was 'tired and emotional' in my drunken state last night and told my two friends all about Snorris' little girl and how I was worried etc etc etc - LOL they sat there being sympathetic without having any idea whatsoever who I was going on about

Sending loads of love xxx

shabster · 26/04/2009 22:46

Just thinking Snorris - I wouldnt worry about going to sleep and leaving the nurse to care for DD - thats what they get paid for.....they used to leave me 'to it' looking after 4 week old twins - my first babys and no idea, at all, what the hell I was doing.

snorris · 26/04/2009 23:15

I thought my ears were burning .

shabster · 26/04/2009 23:21

LOL....I remember saying 'You know my friend Schhhhnoris dont you?'

shabster · 26/04/2009 23:50

Kale Nita - see you all in the morning xx

shabster · 27/04/2009 06:26

Morning Rubester - glad you are happy xxx

Schhhhnorris · 27/04/2009 10:29

Morning

shabster · 27/04/2009 10:42

ROFL at your name change - that is fantastic

frumpygrumpy · 27/04/2009 12:52

Schhhhnorris, that is class I agree to let the nurses do their bit.....I could never sleep when my DD1 was in and just got more and more saucer eyed and twitchy. So if you can, then do sleep. Damn the doctor. Dare you to take in extra slippers next time and smile a lot whilst proposing that "you must have tired legs by this time of night, here, pop these on and let me pop your clippy clop shoes over here".

Shabs, when you said you flattened grass..........were you dancing or on your back? Sorry, I hope that isn't being too nosey but I do love to be nosey I'm picturing a long, hot summer of love with the ginger pig, frolicking in the long grass........

Trips, right there with you on the Marco front. Have you read his book? Its quite good to hear how he ended up the man he is. I think there is a bit of him inside that still needs to be released. Wouldn't mind him releasing a bit of his big self on me actually. Love that brooding stare and the hair. [manky dirtbag] Hel-lo!

shabster · 27/04/2009 13:14

ROFL Frumpster - it must be a quaint Lancashire saying OK...I confess....it means lying on your back doing all manner of rudities with the ginger pig!!! Not much dancing was going on xx

Quick girls, help!

I'm off to Egypt for a fortnight and tonight lounging in the bath I have just realised the extent to which 'chubby island' has grown! Any quick fix advice to allow me to look like the yummy mummy I am on the inside?

Rats! innadvertently had a latte which must equal a G&T. Might as well finish the twins' easter eggs now!

TSF, chubby island, LOL!!! I love that I am fighting my chubby island by doing cross training for 20mins every morning at 6am and 100 sit ups.......been doing that for 3 weeks or more with only the tiniest difference. So disheartening. I presume its because I'm taking in too many calories but I really wanted not to alter my food intake and just see a massive difference with exercise.......[yeah right]. Anyway, I did cut carbs for a little while a few months back and it made a big difference. It did make for very hard going given that I have bread, potatoes, rice, pasta and noodles every second of the day bit it really made for a quick fix. The first 2 days I had a headache, the next two I felt much slimmer. After that I wondered why I would ever want to eat carbs again.........one slice of crusty bread with my chorizo soup and I was hooked all over again. Anyway, no carbs for a fortnight? Could you?

I'm off to bed. I KNOW!!!!! Not quite sleeping though. Going to bath and try to relax. Then cook for DP when he gets home late. I'll still be sleeping at midnight but at least I might relax a little.

Missing in Action is HM. She moved back in to her house and then.........her silence concerns me and so I write this in the hope that if she is lurking and mega peed off she can remember that we hold each other up in these oddball times.

Schhhhnorris · 27/04/2009 21:31

Good news!! Dd4 is almost certainly going to discharged on Wednesday . Just got to wait for the oxygen equipment to be delivered and the docs want to do an echo (ultrasound of the heart).

Not so good news , I made a detour to Ikea and spent far more than I should have intended!

shabster · 27/04/2009 21:54

So very thrilled for all of you my love

shabster · 28/04/2009 06:21

Good morning girls xx

shabster · 28/04/2009 06:34

Tom brought letter home from school yesterday. School ski-ing trip to Italy.

  1. Cost £715.00.
  2. 7 day holiday.
  3. Coach and ferry so 36 hour journey there and back.
  4. Cost does not include Ski=ing clothes or spending money!!!!
  5. £75 deposit to be paid for this Friday.

I promise that I will stop laughing sarcastically soon. Our entire family trip to Greece for two weeks is only a little more than this

The only kids who will be going are the ones whoose parents are dealers I have written out a list for who I KNOW will be going...Tom thinks I am a mind reader - Im not, obviously, I just know who has money and, more to the point, where they earn it

My plan today is to find out exactly when they are going - IF they are going during term time I WILL make a fuss about it!!! We need the last 5 days of the school YEAR (you know the days when nothing is done in class) and the Headmaster has said NO!! I politely emailed him and said - thank you for your recent letter but we will be going on holiday

TeaSleepFood · 28/04/2009 07:34

Morning!

Sccchnoris, great news about DD! Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Scchhabs, what a ridiculous amount of money! I never went on any ski trips either. At the time I remember being a bit disappointed but it was never an issue. Instead, I took a gap year and did a ski season and learnt then for free and for 5 months! Up theirs, I always thought. Also had some rather nice international flings (never had a highland one though FG) which I'm sure would never have been allowed at school!
