Me too Ruby.......I can get to the beach easily but it is a decent drive and not a saunter. I dream of those beach houses in the Hamptons! Y'know, the ones that come with the perfect body........

Lew is sat watching some numpty called Makka Pakka on TV - smiling away and talking to the tv. Has took both soft shoes and both socks off. He keeps walking along the side of the coffee table holding on for dear life I reckon he will do what his Daddy did and walk at 10 months. Just rescued a full container of hamster food from the carpet - serves me right for being on here!!!

numpty is my all time favourite word. Its used a lot up here, is it nationwide?

triplets · 11/03/2009 11:44

Not used down sowf! Oh Shabs I love the night garden, my favs are the ponty pines Sad arent I? I have done some h/work, but its making my side really sore, not a good day with it, just taken 2 ibuprofen as I dont know what else to try. The half bottle of tio pepe and a diazapam worked the best, but its abit early.........isn`t it? Glorious sunny day here though, shall I be a really good girl and walk back to school? I keep waiting for the mist over the sea to clear so I can show you France

Sorry FG, my book choice was I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith. She wrote it in 1948! She also wrote 1001 Dalmations. Its just such a beautiful read, about a poor family in the 30s who are renting a run down castle, its written in diary form by the main character Cassandra, I thought it enchanting. Yes they get supper, though I must be mad, as most of the others when its their turn hold it at the local pub and everyone pays for themselves. I cant afford it, it would be approx £20 every 7 weeks, x`s that and its £140 a year! I can feed 8 of us easily for about £15! We only have to do it once a year. I am doing an Italian (well not literally you understand) a platter of anti pasta, dead easy, pork meatball and pasta and am still thinking of a pud, something lemony I thought. Any ideas?

triplets · 11/03/2009 11:58

I am def a saddo, just looked up the meaning of numpty........an idiot or a fool In England it is spelt numpty, but in bonny Scotland it is numptie. Another interesting fact for you all, I amaze myself at times!
Feeling any better Rubester?

Trips, you are so on form! "doing an Italian" (yes thanks) and looking up numptie I am loving your style doll. In fact, I have chuckled my way into a belly laugh

Ruby! My passport is out of date!!!!! Yikes. I better do something. I don't want a new photo....... I like my old one. I'm lardy now. And OHMYGOOD, I just realised.........I have a new colour hair now and I still don't like it and I so don't want that on a ten year passport! Do the kids actually know Eurodisney is there? I wouldn't go either. Orginal one or nothing. and I'd go for nothing ----

frumpygrumpy · 11/03/2009 13:45

numptie doesn't look right.........surely one numpty and a group of right hard numpties?

TeaSleepFood · 11/03/2009 13:51

Ruby- crikey no! I would rather chew my own leg off than go to disney! I not a wicker-pant-weaving hippy but the thought of that brash commercial crap leaves me cold. They can have a nice baguette and a walk along the seine and chase cherry blossom!

TeaSleepFood · 11/03/2009 13:52

AAArgghh, ladies, we're nearly full! Who's going to lead us on to pastures new and spring -like?

shabster · 11/03/2009 13:52

Oh that pesky kid My friend came round with her 3 month old little boy and just said 'How the hell do you cope, does he never, ever stay still!! Havent eaten yet - although Master Lewis has had a buffet!! He hasnt stopped eating all day - even fancied the hamster food.
