Is everyone out on the razz tonight or is it just me in my jim-jams on the sofa full of paella ?. My mate came round and fed the dts chocolate mousse (i.e. let them help themself from the pot) and took some fab pictures. She is trying to set up a photography buisness. OH, thougtfully, went round a friends and we have beeing going through snaps of the kids for the last 4 hours. She has a wizzo pooter package that she can make photo albums with and has been angging me to let her to the boys' 1st year. DTs are full of snot and waking up at 4am most mornings at the mo. It's just not right. Snot or no snot, it's inexcusable. I need tips on how to train Isacc to sleep better. He only manages about 11 hours for the entire day and still needs to nap during the day or he is a grouch. Help!?!

FG -do you have other sofa's that aren't full of paella?

I would like one full of trifle if you have one

frumpygrumpy · 07/03/2009 17:37

Momma, sorry to hear that I have both my grannies (one 84, one 86) and I am 36 so I understand how hard it is to contemplate not having them around anymore........ I am close to my little gran (4ft 11in ) and it would hurt to see her leave us. She comes out with such gems of wisdom and nonsense rolled into one I'd like to go like your gran did. On her terms, fab!! Good luck with it x.

Merly, I have had all manner of sleep issues with my three.........I can try to help if you like. My first recommendation is this sleep book. It is sectioned off so you can just dip into the bits you need. Its really helpful to read through the bit on sleep cycles. Very, very dull and boring but actually very useful to know.

I have one child who sleeps pretty well and deeply. I have two who don't. I have conquered most of the sleep problems we've have though and mainly with this book.

My DT1 spent a long, long time doing 5am wakings. Its soul destroying because, having had a fairly long sleep they are not too tired at that time and it leaves you feeling raped of the sparkly bit of your life if you can't get sleep at that time of day.

What time do your boys nap? Give me their sleep routine for the day.....rough times and lengths....... I am far from a guru but I will try my best to help.

DP's dad is strong! He is off the ventilator today and breathing alone. He is still in intensive care and will get more dialysis tomorrow which should clear out the drugs and help him feeling a little better the doctors say. Fingers still firmly crossed! Any germs could be nasty for him so we are staying away to be safe. I like him so much. He is a man who has long been misunderstood and his frustration has always been obvious. He is creative and intelligent and I think his life largely stifled him. He makes me laugh as he has a sense of humour a little 'Carry On film' but MIL gets very upset about it. He has travelled all over the world and I wish I could hear more about it. Ah well, there we go, time I cooked.

TSF, a trifle couch........I love the sound of it!!!!

Evening Ladies....Im looking after my friend, Chellesters, little boy so she can have a night out. He is a darling. Moj (thats his nickname) is 7 and almost as tall as me

His Daddy is Jamaican and Moj has just realised that he is , as he calls it, chocolate coloured. He keeps telling me all about how Jamaicans are the best athletes, how they are the best singers and dancers etc etc. Moj and Tom play great together.

Legs Shabby? I'll slap her arse.
I have had a great day today. DT's finally got out of bed at 6am. DT1 woke at 4, coughed, whinged, was re-plugged and went back to sleep. DT2 then woke at 4.45. Coughed, whinged, blah, blah, blah .... Both woke at 5.30ish but we let them grumble until 6 and they got up full of bounce. Last night I invited all my family for a boiled bacon dinner so got that out of the freezer at 4am. Phoned my sister to go to the allotment and she says, ' Did you get the meat out because the guests I was expecting yesterday didn't turn up so I have a full Greek meal prepared that has to be used. Result! Went to the lotty with my sister and neice and it was a georgeous windy but very bright morning. Came home and had the works. Home made meat balls, hummous, flat bread, salad, olives, tzatiki(sp?) and a mashed potato dish that has 6 cloves of raw garlic in it (can you smell me from here?). Then marianded pork, mini roast pots, green beans, boiled bacon, courgette fritters and more salad. Afters was typically Greek rhubarb crumble from the lotty. I am stuffed to bursting, have a wind slapped face and my back aches but it was deffo an 8 out of 10 day.
Momma - I wont be thinking of you on Thursay I will be too busy shitting myself worrying about having my eyes lazered.

frumpygrumpy · 08/03/2009 21:46

Right, I am off to bed. I feel totally crap and so in bed I can't bother anyone.

Merly, lasered??? Like fixing short sight lasered? I have been toying with that, being a short-sighted mole that I am. But I have dry eyes and I'm not sure its good for me....... Anyway, distract me, tell me more....... How good would it be to open your eyes in the morning and be able to SEE!!!! WOW I'd so love that.

5.30am alarm. Next time you see me you'd better be wearing wellies.

shabster · 08/03/2009 23:23

Merly - I am Greek dancing all around the living room. WOW - hope there was some retsina and ouzo going begging!!!! Just WOW xxxxxx

Im keeping my eye on you Frumpster - behave yourself!!!
