Day 10 of illness in the frumpy household.

DT1 & 2 are clean of bugs. DD1 has fallen. Frumpy has full blown tonsillitis but is swearing blind everyday she is a little better rather than go to the doctor where they will send her home with antibiotics that will hurt her tummy or send her home with none.

Frumpy is in the kitchen talking to the wall that smiles and ignoring the wall of sound that follows her from room to room.

frumpygrumpy · 18/02/2009 16:29

DD1 is crying to I'm off to dish out TLC...... Shabs, that's fab news about Dan and his exams!!!! Whose exams is he doing? Which Institute? I used to work in the CA world many moons ago (I'm not one, DP is).

shabster · 18/02/2009 17:02

Frumpster I have no idea [thick as pig muck emoticon] I just know that our local Council, who he works for, are putting him through the 3 year training financially. That is, as long as he passes the exams - if he doesn't pass them he has to pay £980 per term he then has to work for the council for two years and then the world is his lobster oyster!! He has always been a bright lad just used to really lack in confidence - he passed 12 GCSE's and 3 A levels - OMG I love my sons so much it makes me want to snotty cry!

When I watch Jezzer Kyle in a morning and hear all the knobs fools on there saying they behave badly because they had a sad life growing up I beam with pride at my 'survivor' Thing is he has two 'angels' somewhere, 'up there' wherever angels live - they watch over him every day, all day.

Shabs well done to Dan. I can't watch Jeremy Kyle it brings out a horrible side to me regarding sterilization of the waste of DNA types that go on there. Actually I have a lovely friend (common as muck but gorgeous person) who has been on there...who's my daddy or some such theme... so I'll allow her but most I'd like to put up against a wall and machine gun to death and do tax payers (and probably their neighbours ) all a favour. God I'm just an awful person.... I should be embracing them and giving them shelter like a true humanitarian

shabster · 18/02/2009 19:33

I can't it's too embarrassing. Let's say I'm the kiss of death to fish.Morning all by the way. Just when I thought I'd escaped the vomit- yesterday we had some in DD2's bed. I confess i put an old feather pillow in the washing machine-I better hadn't tell my mother.

shabster · 19/02/2009 08:41

Morning Neddie - you killer of fish!!!

piximon · 19/02/2009 12:37

T&T so glad to hear she's home!

Had another night of dt1 vomiting plus four of them have trouble at the other end. Only dd1 is bug free at the moment. Will it ever end?

I have exam on sat and no time to study/catch up/get my mind straight.

Is it bad that I'm already thinking ahead to which days to put dts into nursery in January? I hardly ever wish their little years away but just so fed up with snot noses, vomit and shitty bums. Come January when four of them are out for a couple of days a week I'll likely be a snivelling wreck so you can throw it back in my face then.

Right off to make lunch, which I'll no doubt be cleaning up in a few hours....

frumpygrumpy · 19/02/2009 14:32

Hi girls, I can't stop long, I'm off to try to nap a little.....

DD1 was sick yesterday at 4pm. This continued every hour or half hour until 5.30am this morning!

I gave up the thought of sleep about 11pm when it became apparent that she could keep nothing down at all, not medicine, not even sips of water and had a scary temp all night. I stayed up and when it got really high I just laid her down on my bathroom floor with no jamas and sponged her down. She stopped being sick at 5.30am and her temp finally broke about 6.30am. I got into bed at 6.50am and the DTs woke half an hour later! I feel remarkably fine (must be adrenalin) and my own tonsillitis is much better today, still sore, but not so bad.

Mad world.

Shabs, that's great news about Dan's exams. It is a truly great qualification to have, there are so many places you can go with it. Clever lad, I'm proud of him!!

frumpygrumpy · 19/02/2009 14:38

Pixi darling

Don't be sad about popping them into nursery. How on earth can you be the wonderful mum that you are without some time to put your own head back on the right way. My DTs are in nursery 3 days. Its not time for me. I don't get manicures and watch telly but I can tidy, clean and cook and prepare for them coming home again. Its a massive relief to clean up without someone undoing it behind you. Change beds without everyone playing in the dirty and the clean stuff. Cook with a CD on of your choice!!!! You are not wishing their lives away, you are socialising them, they are learning new things, it is healthy!

And the exam? If it all goes tits up then we will make you resit it when you are more rested and revised. You are asking too much of yourself right now and I am wagging my finger xxxxxx

shabster · 19/02/2009 14:46

Oooooh 'ark at the nowty Frumpster!!! Wagging finger and everything

Vomit here and vomit there
there's bl*"@ng vomit everywhere
In the bedroom, in the loo
It's either sick or squidgy poo

oh the life to be a mother,
(I wish there was another)
one that cleans, cooks and wipes the noses
and restores the smell of roses

Alas i have no help at all
DP's in Germany having a ball
but Ha! I cry "wait till he gets home"
the list to do's become a tome

Unblock the sink
and clean the drain
being a parent can be a pain!
If you think that it's a bore
wait till September, there'll be two more.

shabster · 19/02/2009 15:30
