TiggerTonkerTruck · 20/05/2008 09:58

OH MY GOD!!!!!

I have done something unforgivable.......

I have lost Mario in the garden

Seriously Brandon is going to freak

It was such a lovely day and I don't 'do' caged animals so i thought I would put the hamster in the small G.Pig Arc so he could have a wonder...just been to check and hes gones..........I feel awful.....such a lovely litle hamster too...I have left the cage where he went missing open hoping he will come back by 3.30pm

frumpygrumpy · 20/05/2008 10:03

NOOOOO! Its not unforgivable, its an accident xxxx.

Is it easy to get out of your garden? Have you looked in the neighbours garden? Whats round the garden? How many times can I type garden?

Our garden is totally fenced,i would say rabbit proof but lots of little holes for a hammy
Thing is there are so many cats about I don't think it is going to stand a chance

nope. I have looked everywhere. I can't get into our neighbours because they are all out and I don't think my flimsy fence would take my weight....although I might get desperate enough.....

FG I keep imagining a scene from only Fools and Horses were del boy replaces a bird that he thought he had killed with paint fumes
The wife comes home and says "What the hells wrong with my bird? I woke up this morning and he was dead!!!"

But it'll be me going to the pet shop finding a replacement (not) and Brandon going "What happened to my hamster? When I woke up this morning he was brown not white!!"

Ohhhhh what to do,what to do

frumpygrumpy · 20/05/2008 10:12

You need to get into the neighbouring gardens, quickly, I'd go in through the official way, they won't mind.

We had half the street in our back garden and found someones rabbit under our bush in our old house.

You are right FG thanks...morning Rubes...

shabster · 20/05/2008 10:15

OMG Tiggs!! Check all hamster sized hiding places. Bet you he will be asleep, in the sunshine, underneath something. Have a look under the kids toys???? Remember a hamster is the only thing that has shorter legs than I do!!

shabster · 20/05/2008 10:17

Rubes PMSL that there should be a website dedicated to the finding of lost hamsters

Whistle for him to come back Tiggs.....but only a quiet whistle cause you will scare him.

frumpygrumpy · 20/05/2008 10:18

Great link Ruby!!

Good luck Tigs, leave no stone unturned........ He's out there and he's depending on you. You are his only hope, go, fight for him, he might take a walk but he shouldn't have his FREEDOOOOOMMMMMM!

I take it that he is a BOY hamster? Our BOY hamster in the very warm weather has rather large testicles (or testimonials as our Matt used to call them.) If it is very warm in your back yard Tiggs he will have to drag those big boys along and he wont be very far away

When you find him you just check his undercarriage out - Linford Christie would be proud of our Cena (the hamster).
