Thats Lympstone alright Triplets!! The Princes trained at that marine camp don't you know!!! La de da!!!!

accordiongirl · 30/01/2008 22:19

I like all this Devon talk, know that part of the world well. Still not quite brave enough to go that far with DTs... although we're all going to a hotel in Sussex on Sat night, invited to the dinner dance of a fabricating company. Will head Devon-wards eventually, my aunt's in Branscombe, very nice. Where that boat washed up. She didn't get a motorbike tho. Sounds like you'll all have a gorgeous time

triplets · 30/01/2008 22:20

Were they the Royal Marines? Only we had until a few years ago a big marine base here, school of music. The IRA planted a bomb and killed 11 of them, it was awful.

Hello again...what have i missed? I can never keep up (i need to get fit!).

Somebody mention giving up? I have given up a bad habit very recently - but i'm hoping it will help me lose weight. Fingers crossed, anyway.

accordiongirl · 30/01/2008 22:37

What's the bad habit you've given up, or shouldn't I ask?!

triplets · 30/01/2008 22:39

I was wondering that!

GodzillasAbominableBumcheek · 30/01/2008 22:43

I have been addicted to coca cola for 10 bloomin' years!!

I have been drinking at least a can, but usually a small bottle, almost every single day for the last 3 years (really bad for the teeth, highly sugary, and quite expensive when you add it up).

accordiongirl · 30/01/2008 22:46

Hi Triplets, just looking at your page, the victorian costumes are great! Talking of costumes, just picked up this

cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=190193488468&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=009#ebayp hotohosting

for 1.20 on ebay for my boy chick at easter. Strangely enough, no-one else bid on it. Could have been a mistake, no?

accordiongirl · 30/01/2008 22:50

oops we crossed threads GAB. Maybe you can invent a kind of giving-up-coca-cola patch by sticking a cola bottle sweet on your arm with an elastoplast?

GodzillasAbominableBumcheek · 30/01/2008 22:53

I have gone cold turkey. Although now i am wondering...why is it called 'cold turkey'? I prefer chicken - can i go cold chicken instead?

triplets · 30/01/2008 22:59

Oh what a sweet waistcoat! I love it!

MarsLady · 30/01/2008 23:23

You mad bunch.

Right... FG's laptop has gone to the laptop hospital. She may not be here for a while. She's sends... now was it love and kisses or punches and kicks? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Met a lovely couple today who are expecting twins. If they come by.... play nice! Make sure that the crumbs are swept up and the throws and cushions look good on the couch.

Right... got caught up in the blinking Chelsea match crowd... both ends of the match. Sigh....... Drinking red wine to calm the nerves (good excuse) then off to bed!

triplets · 30/01/2008 23:24

Night night all, DD is sleep walking again, just rescued her out of the bathroom where she is trying to write a sentence on the wall and telling me where to put a comma!! Another one a leetle bit crazy Momma!

triplets · 30/01/2008 23:25

15 kids eh Mars?

MarsLady · 30/01/2008 23:28

DT2 has suddenly started going back into my bed! Sigh.......... just as I was getting used to the space!

Yeah... that's why I work so hard. It's a lot of milk for 15! lol

Thank you Pix and Momma I am a little calmer than yesterday. He seems ok, just bored! Hope the school will send some work hom for him.

I have also remembered that it can affect you if you are early pregnant, i am so hoping i'm not this month. Had all the dc strip off last night for a full once over! Bless them.

I will be trapped for ages, no toddlers or friends over Hugo is going to go crazy.

I need cake, may go and bake a choc one.

Pixi it sound awful finding a house with all the kids in tow, what a nightmare. The cost of fuel at the moment is shocking too, it must be crippling filling up to drive around aimlessly. Poor you. How is the pregnancy?

largeginandtonic · 31/01/2008 09:50

On the hair front i have not had mine touched since a month before Beau was born!!! I am going very soon

piximon · 31/01/2008 12:56

LG&T thanks for asking, pg seems to be going ok, I've still never seen a midwife etc (another reason to want to get settled sooner rather than later) so just have to assume things are fine. Seems really weird after all the poking and prodding every week when having the DTs that this one is so low key, haven't even been for a look around the hospital yet.

I'm starting to get really tired esp by the children's bedtime.

My mum starts her job at the RD&E hospital in early March and they have agreed she can take a week of leave when the new one arrives so hopefully everything will be straightforward. Her job will be a good way for her to get to know some people in the area too so I'm pleased that she won't just be stick at home looking after me and the children.

Have no idea as yet if DH will be allowed a week or so off when s/he arrives. He thinks he will like his new contract, not sure how secret it is, but he's working on a project that NASA couldn't solve and gave up on.

House hunting is a nightmare, at least when we're eventually buying we won't have the whole rigmarole of finding somewhere that accepts children. I'm starting to believe most people just don't like kids. Was really hoping to get the last place as even though it had a few big drawbacks the thought of having DS1 at school in under 5 mins and them also having a nursery placement for DD1 was a big draw.

MarsLady · 31/01/2008 12:59

Really gutted for you Pixi. Tell DH to let me know when he wants dinner and I put out an extra plate.

lg&t.... housebound....

Need to write a poem for my next assignment. Oh boy!!!!!!!!!!

I lived in Lympstone as a child (as well as Deal) and we (my parents and I) lost friends in the Deal bombing
