I so wish I was your DTs dingdong! I would adore snoring on the couch right now, really, its a favourite thing of mine and I'm very good at it due to much practice many years ago .

I just want to reiterate my thanks for sticking to such an amazing name. Its really you.

dingdongjustforyoufg · 08/02/2007 14:01

I know I wish I was too - no room left for me I could make the most of the time and do some ironing I suppose...

frumpygrumpy · 08/02/2007 14:05

NO!!!!

You can iron anytime. You can only listen to a silent house ocassionally.

Sit back and let the mind wander...........mine wanders into Paoloville where no-one wears much clothes and everyone has lithe bodies

dingdongjustforyoufg · 08/02/2007 14:09

I've just tried to change my name to dingdong without the other bit but there is another

largeginandtonic · 08/02/2007 14:15

PMSL at FG and Estar, i just love hearing these stories. Im so pleased that it was not just mine.....cant believe they will be 9 this year, nor that im still having more babies. The madness has taken hold i fear!

I am still in Plymouty at MIL, i managed to pack the car up and collect them all from school last tuesday. I also managed to fall on the garage forecourt going to pay for fuel, a huge man appeared behind me and stood me up, i had landed on the bump. He moved straight away though luckily.

I had one day of peace and then disaster struck, one of the twins came down with a hideous sick and poo bug weds night, followed by ds#4 on sunday (he is till pooing watery yuk) dd monday eve, dt 2 tuesday and ds# 3 yesterday. I am still poo scraping.....no sick since 2am > This is the trouble with sooooo many children, a bug takes forever to go through them all.

So much for peace and a rest, am prisoner in this house. MIL works full time too.

DH has had his draft changed but it's not much better. He has a ship based here in Plymouth and will only be able to weekend it at the most from middle of April till end of May (baby due 13th May) He will take paternity leave a week before im due and then get compasionate leave if the baby is late. I will be alone all week and very pregnant, no friends or family to call upon, they will all be 4 hours away. Im going to get the kids watching births on tv so they learn how to do it...

Doom and gloom from me, so sorry. I just need a break, i must have been sooooo bad in a previous life, bloody hope i enjoyed myself.....

Largegin, nice to have you back but so sorry to hear about the bug! You have my full sympathies. Focus on next week, it will be better xxx.

frumpygrumpy · 08/02/2007 16:30

thanks dingdong, have posted.

frumpygrumpy · 08/02/2007 17:53

2 things:

(1) what do you say to your DTs when you make bolognese and then they tell you they put it on their heads and when you look there is not a piece of their face/head that is not orange?

(2) i have opened the sloe gin and it is delightful (I had to add a splash of tonic Mars or else I'd have knocked it back in one)

Kelly1978 · 09/02/2007 16:43

fg, you tell that the David Dickinson look is so last season, dahlings!

We got our book start packs today. The boys love them, were sitting angelically colouring in. Til I turned my back and they created a masterpiece on the living room wall.
I think they are trying to redeem themselves now, I have three little boys all trying to blow raspberries on my stomach and giggling madly.

Overrun · 09/02/2007 19:36

Hi all, how are you all, have you all got snow. My dts learnt a new word yesterday

dingdongjustforyoufg · 09/02/2007 19:58

hi overrun, yes we have/had snow, mostly gone now but more on the way by all accounts so what was the word? don't keep us in suspense!

Overrun · 10/02/2007 11:10

SNOW!!!!
I am gearing up for my Mums suprise 60th birthday party tonight.
Hopefully it will all come together

totaleclipse · 10/02/2007 11:19

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Feel a little better for that, dts are driving me nuts

dingdongjustforyoufg · 10/02/2007 14:07

should have guessed really overrun, sorry

dingdongjustforyoufg · 10/02/2007 14:08

What are they up to totaleclipse? I have done my duty and taken mine to a very boring party and DH has just taken them to his parents for a few hours - I get peace until bathtime

Leoladyofleisure · 11/02/2007 04:43

Pregnancy induced insomnia or a lot on my mind.... I've been awake and rolling around in bed for the last 3 hours!
I've been wallowing in my pregnancy bubble a bit over the last week, or so a bit behind with everyone's news and not much exciting to report to you all here except that my last hospital appointment went very well and I was told that everything is going great... what else is there in life at the moment? I really must get out more !

I met someone on the Tamba forum due to have twins around the same time as me (also with a toddler) and asked her to come and join us here so look out for her!

Harrogatemum · 11/02/2007 19:52

Hi everyone - not posted for a while as DH has been around a lot more!

The pox has gone from the HM household thankfully but now the DTs are refusing to go to sleep at night again. We leave them up there with the gate on their room and DT2 is always asleep on the floor when we go up to check on them.....oh well at least he's asleep!

Baby Maddy is doing really well, almost sleeping through aged 10 weeks, hooray!!! She tends to stay up late then has a feed around 10 and sleeps until 6 or 7...in her own room now so that has helped a lot.

I think DH may have got a job in Leeds so fingers crossed he will be home every nigth (pack away the turquoise negligee Mars......)

When is the meet up - are we still having it at FG's castle? (tee hee.........)

MarsLady · 11/02/2007 23:34

Sob!!!!!!!!!!!! My poor negligee didn't get enough action sob!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really happy for you though HM. You deserve to have him home at night... and the fact that you haven't been able to post... you've not been doing the gym trick again have you?

Hey Leo... good to see you babe.

Yes the meet up is still on. Just waiting on FG to tell us when!

Kelly...... aren't small beasts just adorable? I was so glad when the "art on the walls" phase was over.

Now my wee beasts are 3. The word MINE has featured alot today and I fear 'tis the tip of the iceberg.

My head is pounding like no one's business and I feel rather fluey, but I'm sure it'll pass. Went dancing last night but could hardly bear it. I had to spend more time resting after each dance because of this head cold than dancing. Sigh...............

DD1 made a chocolate cake for the DTs birthday. It was truly yummy! My sisters came by and the DTs were thoroughly spoilt. Great day. Now... I need my bed, but my head hurts too much to sleep... so here I am posting!

estar · 12/02/2007 10:04

Whoo hoo! Half term! Yeh - anyone else exicted?

(sarcasm? what sarcasm?)

MilaMae · 12/02/2007 15:43

God I'm dreading it. I'm resigning myself to spending loads of money in order to keep them out of mischief. Just been fleeced spent £8 on Minimusic (basically a fairy cake with a few nursery rhymes thrown in), couldn't stick another rainy afternoon indoors. I"m going to be sooooo broke this month, but hey you can't put a price on sanity.

Kelly1978 · 12/02/2007 15:46

Whispers

dingdongjustforyoufg · 12/02/2007 18:48

our half term isn't until next week, but because we're teachers as opposed to parents of school age kids we're rather looking forward to it! We have booked 3 nights in a cottage next to a pub in the lakes, can't wait
