HM - I've lowered the tone a few times (I think the garlic one was the worst, but the pile treatment may be up there too) so I wouldn't worry! I bled for 10 weeks after DD, but only 5 weeks or so with the DTs, and it was very light. This time round I didn't do so much going out and chasing around as I did with DD - are you having to be very busy? Maybe that's why it's continuing? If you're concerned I would go see the doc immediately, or ring your midwife, particularly as it's Christmas next week. I can quite understand the concern - I had a bit of a chopped liver moment about 1.5 weeks after DD was born (read slithery blood clot) and was hysterical for the rest of the night until I saw the midwife the following day. You could also try NHS Direct, but I reckon a midwife would be quicker/better. Hope that helps. Also know how you feel about doing kids on your own - I've only coped so well this time because I've had lots of friends over to help. Can you get some friends round to cook/clean up for you at least once a week? Gives you something to look forward to. If you can get single/childless friends. Most people love to be asked, I've discovered.
Pixi - I've checked my email and I have the details. Is morning OK? I think Mars was available in the morning. I'm not likely to turn up before 10.30 (I find that if I aim for 10 I may get where I'm going by 10.30...). Sounds great!
Sorry about everyone's sleep deprivation, and non-sleeping children. I'm with FG on the repeat, repeat, repeat, bore them witless routine. It's worked with DD and so far is teaching the DTs what they're supposed to do (I know they're still only little and have many months/years to be nightmares yet!).
Kelly - I'd love to pop in one day! You're south west of London aren't you? In which case you're on my way to South East London where the PILs are! I'll let you know next time I'm on my way up!
Best go talk to DH who is being a little pissey tonight because he's tired. Been in the shop all day. And then came home to a daughter who wanted to talk to him! And two small boys who cried... Such a hard life. That's why I'm upstairs here, and he's down with the TV... Hey ho, must be diplomatic woman... Lucky I did politics at uni.
Is this long? Again? Surely not!
