Oh frumpy its just awful for you I can't imagine having to go through what your friend is dealing with - it sounds like you are being the best friend you could possibly be and I'm sure that is helping her alot. It does make you think about what you've got and make the most of the time you have.

Overrunderthemistletoe · 14/12/2006 11:52

oh frumpy, what a terrible situation, its sounds like you have been so strong, but it really must be very difficult to know what to do and say. My heart goes out to that family.
It its of any interest, social workers are notoriously down on hvs, a terrible generalisation I know.
Its a real pain when a HV reports someone and then you have to check it out, and you just know its not really worth looking into, but if you don't....
When I worked in the community mental health team, we had some terrible battles with hvs who would keep ringing and demanding that we remove children of women who had mental health problems. They could get quite hysterical, but would then miss the really severe post natal sufferers.
I guess we all have our professions that we are down on
Kelly, I have emailed you, can you let me know if you have it, as I really want to put a photo of my family up, but can't manage to reduce its size

Kelly1978GotRunOverByAReindeer · 14/12/2006 13:08

oh fg, it sounds like you are a wonderful support to your friend. I'm not surprised she is struggling. Are there any organisations she can contact to help her through this difficult time?

And post all your want, we are here to listen.

Overun, I've not got your email. You could try my other address, [email protected].

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 14/12/2006 14:14

Thanks girls, me and all the other school mums just feel so much that we want to do something but really, really there is nothing more we can. What we can do is be around in a month or two when things settle for her and she realises life is continuing and not the way she wants it to.

I found a suitable picture of my DTs, I might have a go........

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 14/12/2006 14:15

Another mum just gave me £100 for the collection, isn't that lovely.

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 14/12/2006 14:21

Kelly, I don't have any editing software anymore but I do have the painbox. Roughly what number of degrees do you put in (I did 10 one way and 10 the other as a trial and it looked very strange). Then I did a much higher number and it said I had to shut programs I'm so much a photo album sort of a girl and learning.......

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 14/12/2006 14:21

Why can't I post once?

Kelly1978GotRunOverByAReindeer · 14/12/2006 14:23

degrees? I skew it and normally reduce it to about 30% either way. If you want to email it to me I will resize and send it back if you want.

Kelly1978GotRunOverByAReindeer · 14/12/2006 14:23

I think we should all psot in threes

Kelly1978GotRunOverByAReindeer · 14/12/2006 14:24

much mroe fun

dingdonglapinroseonhigh · 14/12/2006 14:33

LOL you 2

dingdonglapinroseonhigh · 14/12/2006 14:33

LOL you 2

dingdonglapinroseonhigh · 14/12/2006 14:34

its so much easier to post in 3s if you post message more than once

Overrunderthemistletoe · 14/12/2006 14:50

Kelly I have had another go, sent it to your talk one, but think I was leaving a L off Hazell

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 14/12/2006 18:37

I love us, we're all half cooked

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 14/12/2006 18:45

Is it just me or is even broadband running so slow at night? I seem to be having problems accessing you guys , don't they know who we are ?????

My DP has been delayed and will be home about 9/9.30pm. I will try to post a pic before then, just for a little while, if I have success in reducing it. (Kelly, when I try to skew it bring up a box asking what number of degrees horizontally and vertically????? ) I might give up and ask your expert help next week when DP disappears again.......or I might email you all individually.....or better still post the actual photographs in the snail mail .

Can't you lot wait until I get married, then I'll invite you all to my wedding and you can snuggle them for yourselves?? BTW, I'm not engaged and have no intention of getting hitched but I have to say something to keep you all at peace.

BTW Kelly, your boys have grown loads since I last saw a pic (the one in the fairy outfit). Still handsome as anything though!

p.s. Mars, are you a vampire?

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 14/12/2006 19:02

and my leg hair is long and I'm having contractions (period coming), just wanted to share and post numerous times

largevirginbirthandtonic · 14/12/2006 19:15

Evening everyone, hope you are al well. We have gone well and truly festive here, got all pressies, decorated house, have seen 2 xmas plays another one tomorrow for the dts and that's us done on the chaotic school front. It is soooo manic at this time of year, every year someone else starts school and it get's crazier

Have a piccie of ds #3 as an angel this year, he wanted to be one! He has blonde curls and looks so much like a girl, as soon as im organised i will post it.

I did a 4 hour round trip today for Krispy Kreme donuts... My craving for them is ridiculous, the poor baby is going to come out looking like one!!! We just got there bought 2 boxes of 12 and 2 extra for the car and drove back. Im knackered....but very happy. Dh is afraid to eat one, i let the kids have one each after school, very generous i thought

We have a 20 week scan booked on tues next week, it's an anomoly and we can find out the flavour. Will keep you all posted.

Big festive hugs to you all

largevirginbirthandtonic · 14/12/2006 19:20

Sending you vats of 800mg brufen frumpy, i find that and diclofenac work wonder when your period is killing you. I love being pregnant, no periods for months. With ds #3 i managed to go 2 and a half years with no period!!! It was bliss, i dont envy you and send my full sympathies

largevirginbirthandtonic · 14/12/2006 19:21

Not sure what to suggest for the leg hair.....baubles?!.....it would be festive

dingdonglapinroseonhigh · 14/12/2006 19:26

oh lordy me too fg - have we synchronised through cyber space? Now that is impressive

Am v impressed by your generosity to your children and devotion to your unborn child LVG&T, driving all that way just for them is truly heroic

Kelly1978GotRunOverByAReindeer · 14/12/2006 19:47

i think that box is the percentage to reduce it by. Try putting 30 in each box, saving it and checking what size it is after that. Don't forget to rename it when you save, so you don't lose your original high quality one.

Why would mars be a vampire, what did I miss?!

Love the idea of baubles in the leg hair, pmsl.

4 Hours for krispy kreme You must be another one who will insist in living in the wilderness. I have one 20 mins away in the tescos, really wanted some today, was planning to go, but the tescos is the size of a rugby pitch or two and I ran out of time

Kelly1978GotRunOverByAReindeer · 14/12/2006 19:49

I'm exhausted, I've trimmed up, emptied the dishwasher, the tumble drier, the washing machine and the car of aforementioned shopping, hoovered, polished, and I'm now going to collapse on the sofa with a curry!

I can't wait to see the boys faces when they see the deccies in the morning. Will maybe make up for them shouting 'bugger' non stop all the way around tescos.

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 14/12/2006 20:35

Kelly, is that trimmed the pubics or trimmed the house, either way I'm sure all your children will be delighted . Vampire? - Mars only does the midnight hours.....

dingdong, ding dong, PITA eh? Am thinking of the mirena coil, in for a penny, in for a pound.......worth a splash......

Largegin, did we ever get details of that weekend? Does this mean you find out if its twins again? Love your devotion to the cause I've never tasted one

No-one else having slowness on broadband? Just me? I've probably done something hideous to our laptop which will result in it freezing on my post about MIL lmao, lmao, lmao.

Overrunderthemistletoe · 14/12/2006 20:37

Kelly, I still can't do it, is there any chance you could post it for me? I know its a big ask, but am so clueless with these things.
Frumpy, back on the pmt treadmill again, me too, I think we are getting synchronised, or maybe its because there is so relatively little time free of it Xmas Sad
My dh has just come back with a litre of specialist welsh gin, same of vodka, and a creamy liguer type thing a bit like Baileys. All free from some pr company. yeah, a nice early xmas present
