Belated birthday wishes from us all too Shabs. WineBrewThanksCakeBiscuitChocolate[santa]

Crazy busy here. James has been discharged from paeds Hmm so we're back to the very beginning again. I've been sterilised so no more munchkins here. Twins are growing at a rate of knots!

Finally!!!!!!!!!!! Tom has his start date!! He has his induction day on the 21st December...a full day learning about every aspect of the job. Including an introduction to how to help disabled (mentally or physically) adults and children in whatever way he can (I think thats the part he is looking forward to learning about). After Xmas he starts his one day apprenticeship at college and will also have to go to college to do his GCSE IT lol. At high school he was allowed to do a full btec in IT (mainly graphic art) and he just completed a btec extended diploma in IT practitioner at college BUT the job requires that he has a GCSE as well. He is more than happy to do it.

So glad for him - so very pleased xx

Yay for Tom! Does he have to work over Christmas? Bet he's well chuffed to be starting though. Sounds like a really interesting job too.

We're all muddling along here. Still slapping paint on the walls. Just one bit to do behind some units now - needs two of us to move them and dh was out last night. Then altering the curtains I bought and freshening up the woodwork. Hoping We can get it all finished this week. The painting at least. I can do the sewing over the weekend.

James has effectively been discharged from paeds. So we're back to starting over. At least we have support from school now. Even though they say he is fine while there, they are seeing more and more concerning behaviours when I bring him in (kicking and screaming) and take him home. So the head is supportive that we start sorting things now rather than leave it until next school year, when he goes up to year 2 and moves classrooms. So no more free play and a lot more school work. He's a bright boy. He just doesn't want to know!

How are we all fixed for the forthcoming festive season?

Chopstheduck · 18/12/2015 07:38

Morning girls xxx

That all sounds like very hard work soks. Why on earth did the paed discharge him too, he is still so young! My J still sees his every so often.

Lovely pic trips!

Glad he finally has his start date, shabs, he must be very pleased.

I'm worn out! Finished actually training kids for Xmas a few weeks ago, but still been doing admin work for the company, and have a few more kids to teach privately before I finish for Xmas. I'm hoping to get my sports coaching qualification next year.

DD is bunking off today - the last day of her school is a half day of a very long assembly which a lot of kids do skip. So we're off for some last minute shopping and lunch somewhere. Grin

Sausage rolls sound delicious!

Must admit I've cheated a bit, and filled the freezer with half price M&S party food when it was on offer last weekend. Grin That will be boxing day for 12 people sorted. Xmas day we just have 8 so won't be too bad.

Finally finished Xmas shopping yesterday. I am worn out, but at least there is just two more days of work now before I finish for Xmas.

Minisoksmakehardwork · 20/12/2015 20:56

Flip knows chops. Especially since I was told regardless of the results of the snap iv form being the same or different, the ADHD nurse would still see us (by the ADHD nurse). But it seems the school saying 'oh he's fine!' carries more weight than parents who have to put up with the behaviour, milder forms of which the paed has actually bloody seen! School are being supportive though. New head teacher seems to be helping us so far.

Sausage rolls sound yum trips. Am emptying our freezer here ready for collecting meat order. Not that we're doing any major entertaining, but it's a good package and much cheaper than our previous supplier so reduces the amount of supermarket visiting we have to do over the Xmas period. Have parboiled and frozen spuds ready for roasts. Cake and puddings made. It's just the 6 of us on Xmas day. Dh has to go to work mid morning to mid afternoon so will be doing dinner when he gets back and then really it's just if anyone wants to pop in.

Am also going to be making another GP appointment tomorrow for Jen. She's still complaining that her ear hurts and it's still bleeding. Think I'm going to have to be firm and tell them if they can't see anything because of the blood and wax then they need to find someone who can. Antibs were given as a 'just in case it's infected' but nothing's changed and I don't think it's infected. She's had no temperature, which I would expect. Just complains that it hurts all the time. I've been so exhausted waking up to her, and being kept awake by her waking everyone else up, it's got to the point I'm not waking for her anymore as I'm too tired - I wake up and she's in bed with us while dh snores as he's had to bring her in so he gets some sleep too.

triplets · 21/12/2015 22:36

Aww poor Jen, I remember when Rebecca was two having to rush her to A&E at 11pm because she was screaming with pain in her ear.......they looked and said it was all clear! Spent all night trying to comfort her, took her to our own gp the next morning and he said it was the worst infection he had seen! Gave her some antibiotics, within an hour she was covered with a terrible rash and her tongue started to swell..........turned out she was allergic to pennicillen!! Hope she gets better very soon! Feeling worn out with shopping, took my soldier boy out today as he wanted to buy a present for us.............until he checked his bank balance!! I was not pleased with him !!

Minisoksmakehardwork · 22/12/2015 17:10

We've been given ear drops. And basically told to go away for at least two week. And she's not to get in her ear wet when she's in the bath. But it's bath night tonight and I forgot to get some cotton wall balls and Vaseline - I've no idea where our supplies are.

I may also have shouted a lot at the kids today too. (Hate being shouty mum). But I'm so fed up of the 'he/she/they did/broke/hurt' or 'I'm boooored' every single time I step out of the room. I can't get anything done and we're sinking in a shit hole and still have all the presents to wrap!

Chopstheduck · 24/12/2015 06:25

are they overexcited with Xmas approaching?

mine are 10 and still being antsy with the run up to Xmas. Shay especially is just being so irritating and winding everyone up. They are like it every year, I'm hoping they will grow out of it soon!

I have to take dd to the dentist today - will be a miracle if I can get parking - it is on the same site as an aldi!

Minisoksmakehardwork · 24/12/2015 19:05

I'm sure it is just over excitement. But it's so hard calming them down. They're excited about everything!

We've made mince pies this afternoon, taking it in turns while dh wrapped my presents with the kids. That ended in arguments too.

Happy new Year girls! xxx

I actually went out last night and danced the night away. First time I think since I have had kids!

triplets · 01/01/2016 22:02

HAPPY NEW YEAR LOVELY LADIES ALL :)
though I am not feeling very jolly..........had a lot of stress this last two weeks and as for last night.........had 4 teens here for Chinese, my soldier didn't bother to turn up.........the other 4 left here at 10pm to walk 45 mins into town to watch the fireworks on the beach. 11pm three come back, saying dd had gone off in a strop.........so they left her! Made them go back to find her, she had no phone no money no proper coat infact she went out looking like a vagrant. At 11.30pm ds phones to say "baggage retrieved" meaning her and now they are staying to watch the fireworks and rolled home at 1.30am. Hardly seen my soldier boy, barely had a meal with him and he goes back on Sun! Oh well.........

triplets · 04/01/2016 08:09

So where is everyone? Decs down and back to normal...........soldier boy went back y/day and the other two off to college today, hospital appts for dh start tomorrow, at last got an appt with a neurologist that specialisers in Parkinsons. His walking is getting very poor. Hope everyone is well and your New Year gets off to a good start! Shabs when does Tom start his new job?

shabbs · 04/01/2016 21:53

I'm here too! Checking my lovely new Fitbit and rejoicing that actually I don't do as little as I'd previously thought.

triplets · 05/01/2016 23:37

Oh Shabs that's good, is it easy for him to get there? Wish my James could find a job, anything. he hasn't a clue now what he wants to do with himself, his college is rubbish and he wants to leave as soon as he is 18. I said he cant unless he has a job as I cant afford to lose child benefit/tax credit!
