Morning! Since its a sunny day here I thought I'd say sunny hellos. Unless of course anyone else has beat me to it and I've missed the new thread.

Mama how on earth do you find time to source all the outfits etc, you must have endless energy and purse looking at those prices!! You haven`t said how little Apollo is today, I hope he is getting better every day.
Well phoned the dentist and they said no point in trying to repair again, so he has an apt with the orthodontist next Tues.
Came back from school today with a blinding headache, the class were very noisy today.
Going to try to get to sleep.......night night all xx

Trips - One word; bathroom. It's my "mum" space. I do most of my shopping sat on the loo haha. We save up and buy throughout the year for Halloween and Christmas. Haha. Hope they can fix J's tooth next week!

Sok - Kids are off 28th - 4th for half term but luckily for me DH's 10 week leave starts 28th so I have him home full time until he starts his new job in the New Year however he will be away most weekends helping at the new house. All busy busy. Can I send my kids over? Lol

Morning girls xx

Chopstheduck · 24/10/2013 07:51

Those outfits look so cute! I'm hoping Tescos reduce some next week. For the past couple of years the twins have been squeezing into their 4-5 year vampire outfits, I don't think I am going to get away with it this time!

I'm not looking forward to half term much. Don't really have anything planned to do with the kids yet, except for a trip to the dentist(!)

This weekend I'm off for some me time though, flying to Edinburgh for the day sat, a night at a posh hotel, then back sunday and out with DH sat night to watch the NFL at Wembley. The best bit is I am going to Scotland all by MYSELF! I'm planning lots of exploring, peaceful coffeeshop for lunch with a book, and a bubble bath and wine in the evening :D

Wonder if I could 'miss' my flight back!

DH and I got told off today in the supermarket car park Blush. An old lady told us we should be ashamed off ourselves and set a better example... I blame the kids they forced me into the trolley with them and I blame DH's bad trolley driving.

triplets · 24/10/2013 22:10

How is Apollo Mama? YES naughty, not a good example!! Hope it wasn`t Waitrose?

MultipleMama · 24/10/2013 22:43

But the kids begged me to join them and their laughter was totally worth it. According to K, I'm a funny mama. Proud moment there! Haha. Nah it was Asda!

Apollo's eye infection is finally showing signs of getting better but they don't know if it's caused any damage to his eye so they're bringing his eye test forward to the week after next when he'll be 5 weeks old. If all goes well, I can have a hold when we try him on breastmilk in hopes that he will associate me with finding. Hus hair has grown so much too. When he was born he had a mop on his head but now it's brushing his the tops of his ears! His neck is brightly coloured and has tightened around his breathing tube due to swelling but that should go down with time.

Artie fed for 15 minutes today before she fell asleep during. However the next time was just a few minutes. She likes to keep me on my toes. Her hair is longer than her brother's but a lighter shade more brown than black. She had her hearing test today and was such a trooper! She's one step closer to home :)

triplets · 24/10/2013 23:00

Thank you Mama for the up-date, when are we going to be allowed a teeny weeny peek?

shabbatheGreek · 25/10/2013 00:52

Oh my word I am so jealous. I wish my twin boys were both here. Wish I could see Gareth again. The plan was to have as many sons as possible.....love boys and am petrified of girls Grin - but often 'stuff' does not happen how we hope and plan.

Miss you Gareth & Matt and love you, all the world my four sons. xxx

Four beautiful boys for you Shabs and three for me plus one scary girl! I never ever thought when I started on the road to motherhood that I would have four children, it was to have been two. By now I was to be looking after my grandchild, young and fit enough to be putting them on the back of my bike, picnics and rock pools............if I am lucky enough to have grandchildren I just hope I will be fit enough to enjoy them in any way I can. Its not how I ever thought it would be. xx

MultipleMama · 25/10/2013 15:46

You can have a sneak peak when they're home :)

You know when I was in school, I had everything planned out. I want to work with animals and become a vet or historian. I planned to go University and then settle down with 3 kids. Instead I met a boy, got a job, had a baby and got married all before 21 years of age. However I wouldn't change my out of control life for nothing.

Artie cried for the first time today!

bubby64 · 25/10/2013 22:37

Hi All, terrible week, sorry I haven't been around. hence long post!
Mama - good for you fighting the poor care of Apollo, Angry we had an incident when my 2 were in scbu, J kept having apnoea attacks, and one of the night nurses got fed up eith the alarm and turned it off!! I still dont know what made me get up from the bed in parents room and check on him in the middle of the night, but I did, to find him just as he turned a nice shade of blue! I had never seen dh so angry as he was when I told him what happened, she got moved off the unit as well I lovevthe outfits, by the way!
Trips - oh poor James, Sad again, my J cracked his front tooth, but luckily it was saved with temporary coating, and he will be given a veneer when he is older. My friends daughter had one of her front teeth broken, and you honestly can't tell its been crowned, it loojs so good, hopefully Js will be the same.
Soks - how dare your dad compare your boys like thatAngry . I hope that you get a diagnosis for him so dad can eat his words!
Well, Concert went well last weekend, but downhill from there really.
I have decided that one of our ancestors ran over a witch and we have been cursed! it went like this- Sunday- came down to find kitchen flooded and washing machine not working, £80 to fix, Monday- found big chest freezer defrosting, fusevin plug had blown, ?? when washing machine bit the dust, then M missed his bus home, school rang, can I collect? (no!), he had to ho wait at nanas until dh came home, Tues - J given after school detention, late bus didnt turn up, I had to collect him. Wed - call from mums carer mum in a lot of pain, can I come over? I got there , mum cryingbwith abdo pain, I call out of hrs GP and told 6hours for just a call back, not even a visit!Angry Angry afteran hour I cslled 999, and she was taken into hospital. turned out she had a strangulated herniaSad she was schedualled to go to surgery 8.30 yesterday, so I stayed with her all night as she was cery confused and restless, she finally went to theatre st 4pm! I was knackered, db took me back to mums to collect car and her dog, only to be told dog by neighbours poor had howled all night and all day, except when another neighbour had popped in for me to feed and walk herSad . I bought her over to ours, and she has settled fairly well but still anxios if we go anywhere.
Luckily, mums surgery went well, and, despite anaesthetic, doesnt seem much more confused than normal.Smile

bubby64 · 25/10/2013 22:41

And I have found I can no longer type legible sentences on my padGrin Grin

triplets · 25/10/2013 22:59

No wonder Bubbs, poor poor you, and your poor Mum, she must have been in so much pain. What is going on with the world? Just had another panic, Thomas didn`t go to ATC tonight as it was band practise, so James went on his own on his bike. He came flying in at 9.45pm in a right state, as he was cycling a car roared up behind him and as it overtook him the passenger threw a firework at James and it exploded . He is ok but very shaken. I am getting paranoid about letting any of them out of my sight. Fireworks actually are a real pain around here, they start for Halloween and go on until Bonfire Night and often after. My friend has three dogs and poor Heidi who is 16 has to be sedated as she gets in such a state. They live near the beach and there are always kids letting off fireworks there. Gawd what next?

shabbatheGreek · 26/10/2013 01:07

Bloody hell girls - we have also had the day to end all days with regards to benefits.....I feel sick with worry.....PLEASE DONT BELIEVE THE TV AND NEWSPAPERS THAT ALL PEOPLE ON BENEFITS ARE LOADED AND LIVING THE LIFE OF RILEY....they are not - and people are getting their benefits stopped on a regular basis for very little reason.... ah well there is always tomorrow - SAME SHITE, DIFFERENT DAY!

triplets · 26/10/2013 01:20

Kale Nits mon champignons xx

Chopstheduck · 26/10/2013 05:40

Morning girls.

Sort to hear of you all having such a crap time ATM :(

I cannot believe someone would be so stupid as to throw a firework at someone on a bike! Though I once got my arse slapped by someone who pulled along sided - he was lucky I didn't end up under his car!

Hope your mum is feeling better soon, bubbs.

Mama, I wanted to be a vet too, until I started a level physics. Then promptly switched to different courses!

I'm at heathrow waiting for my flight to edinburgh, looking forward to a nice child free day!

shabbatheGreek · 26/10/2013 09:28

Morning girls xx

MultipleMama · 26/10/2013 12:17

Bloody hell, bubs. Sounds like a nightmare! Not something you need near Xmas or in general! Very happy your mum's surgery went will but that's shocking about out of hours GP!

Frickin' chips on a pickle, Trip. I bet that was terrifying. What kind of stupid idiots find it funny to endanger someone like that. Hope J is feeling less shaken today.

Enjoy your stay, Chops!

The nurse who caused harm to Apollo has been given a verbal & written warning and has been moved to SCBU. Fortunately, we know and trust Artie's care team and the few nurses assigned with her daily/nightly care.

Today we meet Apollo's new nurse who's replacing the one who left. All we know is that it's a male, has only a few years experience on NICU, and more hands on nurse. Very nervous but hoping that he puts us at ease.

triplets · 26/10/2013 17:08

Afternoon ladies, hope you all are having some late sun, mind you its very windy here. Felt fed up so asked James to come for a walk with me and he did:) We had a nice chat and a laugh, made me realise how little time I get to spend with each one individually. Of course dd would not be seen dead with me! Just been dozing on the sofa and could easily have dropped off, up too late reading. Anyone watching The Tunnel on Sky Atlantic...................really scary, filmed locally, shows what a dump Dover and Folkestone are. Not much else to report. Hope all is well at the hospital Mama, and Chops I am very Envy just what I could do with.

shabbatheGreek · 26/10/2013 18:07

Tom has just set off (to pick up some friends on the way) to his best friends 17th birthday party. Told you he was the youngest in his year LOL - they are all starting to turn 17 now and he just turned 16 at the end of July!!!

Its fancy dress and he has gone as one of the Blues Brothers!!! He has his black prom suit on, white shirt, thin black tie.....and his beloved Converse!! Purchased from Sports Direct in their sale for just £12 instead of the RPP of £50!! (Pretend) Rayban sunglasses and his trilby. He looks fantastic!! I have tried to do his hair like the thinner Blues Brother! His hair is past his shoulders (little rebel) so have put loads of conditioner in and straightened it for him, then I have brushed it off his face and put it in a black bobble. He wanted to have a receeding hairline thing like the BB. He looks so brilliant. Have just spoke to the girl he is collecting on the way and asked her to re-do his hair because I am useless!!

She thought it was hysterical and said she would sort him out!!!

He has been trying to lose weight for the last couple of months. His prom suit trousers are about 4inches too big on the waist - he has a belt on Grin

Oh to be 16/17 again knowing what I know now!!

triplets · 26/10/2013 18:15

At 16 I never went out, got up, went to work, came home, went to bed etc. All changed at 18 :o
