Morning! Since its a sunny day here I thought I'd say sunny hellos. Unless of course anyone else has beat me to it and I've missed the new thread.

Today is the twins due date and whereas I doubt I would have made it this far anyway it is a little reminder of what should have been.

The twins are 9 week old today and I am so proud of both of them and we look forward to all the weeks and years to come :)

Spent the morning with Apollo and while Artie was passed out with DH at the hospital I went shopping however had to pick up the twins up from nursery because Dieter was refusing to settle so one of the workers grabbed his wrist and told him off which made it worse as Dieter has never been talked to in a raised voice before so he was completely frightening, in turn Dom got upset because his brother was. Totally chaos. I talked to the worker and told her she wasn't ever allowed to grab my son and talk to him to him the way she did. Apparently the lady in charge didn't explain to her how we've told them to deal with the twins. The house is now calm and my dad has come to take them to the park so I can head back to the hospital to school hours end.

How're you ladies? X

triplets · 03/12/2013 22:33

Evening ladies and esp Rubester, very nice to have you around! A last we are getting round to getting decorating, hall is nearly finished, now carpet goes down on Friday and today we finalized and paid the deposit on our new kitchen. Soooo excited, got such a good deal from Magnet, I had a figure in my head, got more than I hope for, and it came in almost £1000 less than I anticipated!! Its being delivered on the 16th Jan!! Thank you Mum, just wish wish she was here to see it xxx
Apart from that I`ve got heartburn!!

triplets · 03/12/2013 22:35

badly typed................anyone know why my keyboard is missing letters when I ype? like that!

MultipleMama · 04/12/2013 00:37

Trips - it could be that the keys are clicked into place properly, so in that case push the key until it clicks then it should work. If not then it could be either a faulty pad underneath your keys or what clips your key in place is damaged/broken.

Just home from the hospital and I am tum tuckered. Apollo has a had a bad day stats and gases all over the place, quite a few Brady's plus a R.arrest and Artie has been a complete madam this evening. Time for bed!

Grin our keyboard is 'infested' with Toms hair!!!! He sits here curling his hair round his fingers like he used to do with mine when he was a baby!!!! Just checked now and there is a pair of tweezers at the side of the laptop to remove said hairs............ewwwwwwwwwwww!!!

MultipleMama · 04/12/2013 12:48

The twins knocked over the tree this morning. Thank god we decided on paper decorations this year. Dieter is really testing my patience today. If he's not breastfeeding (13 times do far!) he's getting himself upset because I can't pick him up so I shoved them in the stroller and took them up and down the road. Dieter fell asleep on the way back and Artie had her first outdoor experience (minus hospital trips).

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 04/12/2013 14:38

Oh mama! I'm dreading putting ours up as I just know my two little monkeys will be in it within seconds. And I'll spend the next few weeks putting it back together on a very regular basis.

Have just woken from a lovely post lunch snooze (3&4 still asleep). Very poor night which started with dc4 being sick, resulting in 2 cot changes and showers. Ended with dc2 coming into our bed at 1am and staying there until this morning. Zzzzz

MultipleMama · 04/12/2013 19:56

Our chocolate coins disappeared within an hour, Kvothe's chocolate covered face was a dead giveaway but he totally denies it Hmm.

Sok - That's why we decided to go a different route and went with paper decorations seeing as last year the boys were only 3 months but now they grab anything within reach.

They twins are talking really well and can answer questions so we've signed Dom & Dieter up for BSL lessons that start in January!

Apollo had breathing steriod treatment today. He still not ready for CPAP but he is looking more and more awake and alert. However he seems to be having a bit of 'roid rage, he's very fussy!

bubby64 · 04/12/2013 20:27

First off..Happy 13th birthday to my 2 boys, it still doesn't seem that long ago that I give birth to them. Made them a AT AT themed cake (pics on facebook)
Mama- just you see, time will fly, and these early scbu scary days will seem like a dream.
Soks -We put our tree in the boys wooden playpen when they were small to protect it.
Shabs/Trips - I hoover my keyboard on a regular basis, I tend to find dog hair in mine Blush

triplets · 04/12/2013 23:18

Happy Birthday teenies!! If you are like my boys then you`ll be a doddle! Still fighting this cold, very tired, not sleeping at all well. Of to Ashford at 9am to see the oncologist, dreaded ct scan result. I get so churned up in that waiting room. Had a lovely surprise today, a parcel came from my pen-friend in California. A kilo of Blue Diamond Smokehouse Almonds, my absolute fav! Cost her 27$ postage!! We went to the Blue Diamond farm in 1991 near to where Karen lives, loved those nuts ever since!! Must sleep, night night all xx

shabbatheGreek · 05/12/2013 06:54

Morning girls xx

So cold and dark here - horrible!!!

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 05/12/2013 08:08

Belated teenage birthday wishes to your boys bubs.

Our tree stands on a storage table as we've no floor space. Might go back to our teeny trees we put on the sideboard for a year or two...

Chilly wind here this morning. Was listening to the weather warnings too!!

Off to drs with dc3 later as they've baboon bottom. Poor sausage is so sore they don't want to sit down. Plenty of no nappy time today methinks.

Morning All.
Soks - sudacreme every time here, poor mites.
Trips - get well wishes going your way, hope you get good news at the appointment.
DH hurt his back at work last week, and has been off work all week so far, he is ok if he sits still, but in a lot of pain if he lies down or stands and walks.Sad Trouble is - he is like a 3rd child when not well, he outs on this whiney "oh poor me" little boy voice, and keeps asking me " what pills can I take now?" I got fed up last night and told him to 'grow a pair' and write down what and when he has taken, as I cant continue to remember everything as well as do everything. Hes now accused me of being uncaring. Also, because he has found that sirting is best, he has been on his xbox too much, right til 2/3 am, the he comrs up and wskes me. if I dont get a decent nights rest soon, I am in danger of collapse!

MultipleMama · 05/12/2013 09:51

Happy belated birthday!

shabbatheGreek · 05/12/2013 11:14

I swear now I am going to kill my parents carers!!!!

Mum just rang.....

Mum: Oh I couldn't remember your phone number and I think you have moved - where are you love?

Me: Im here Mam - been here 6 years sweetheart. AND you have remembered my phone number without looking it up thats fantastic!!

Mum: Dad needs his morphine patches and the carer said I had to tell you!

Me: Where is the carer now Mam

Mum: Sat here with us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(I actually then said - cause I know Mam has the phone on loudspeaker)

Me: For Christ sake Mam give her the bleedin' phone. Oh on second thoughts I dont want my head to explode leave it with me and I will sort it.

So today - and it keeps snowing here and blowing a gale...I will do the drug run again....whilst the carers (who are based at our GP's - you know the one where you pick up the prescription and the medication) will get in their warm cars and go back to feckin' work!!!

AND my Dad pays over £400 a month for the pleasure of these pricks people.

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 05/12/2013 19:00

Jees Shabs. I think I'd be chewing someone's ear off if he's running out of medication. Although quite whose I don't know. Did you say before whether they got their meds delivered to their home?

Thanks for the bum tips. I normally start with Vaseline, then sudocrem and then metanium - depending on how long it's been going on for/whether they've been working. Nothing's helped so far and they don't even want to sit down! Came away with some steroid cream. Should see an improvement in a couple of days.

Had a fun, windy day today. Been blown around everywhere and looking at the river near ours, well you'd think it was tidal with how choppy the waves were.

MultipleMama · 05/12/2013 20:41

Sok - We switched to Gdiapers with all DC as when K was a baby he got nasty rashes, since swamping none have had rashes. The creams just made them worse. The steriod cream worked well for K though.

Well the wind blew Aubrey and Dom off their feet today while running in the garden. I shouldn't laugh but it was hilarious. Aubrey looked so miffed and Dom was just confused wish I had caught it on camera for You've been framed haha!

Artie is passed out should be waking soon for a feed. She no longer feeds every 2 hours. She feeds when she's hungry and I haven't stopped wearing her since we brought her home. Miss Apollo like crazy.

shabbatheGreek · 05/12/2013 21:27

Yes all my parents medication is delivered once a month to them - we sorted it out with the pharmacist. I only found out today that they have changed the brand of Morphine patches.....did it a few MONTHS ago - my brother knew but didnt think to tell me!!! The new ones have to be changed every 3 days thats why they keep running out. Going down to see the pharmacist tomorrow and get the patches delivered as well.

Also found out it wasn't the carer - it was the district nurse - the carers are not allowed to change the patches. It makes it worse that it is the nurse. She actually works for my parents GP....so she sees the GP everyday and walks past the pharmacy probably a dozen times a day. I do realise my parents are not the only patients but its still crap.

triplets · 05/12/2013 22:44

First Christmas present................dh ct scan is ALL CLEAR :) The onc was so pleased and amazed how well he is doing. It will be 2 years next May since he had any form of treatment for cancer, so the next scan is in May, then if that's all clear he will be scanned once a year, but keeping up bloods 3 monthly just to keep an eye on his markers! I am sitting here like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, sneezing and puffy eyes. Supposed to be going to book club tomorrow night, so hoping to feel better in the morning. Night all xx

shabbatheGreek · 05/12/2013 22:48

Oh wonderful news Trips - so thrilled for all of you xxxx

MultipleMama · 05/12/2013 23:25

Oh Trips, what bloody wonderful news! What a load off your mind that must be. :)

DH is yet to come home from visiting Apollo and a little worried. I hate not hearing from him.
