Would someone sit me down and give me a large bloody drink please? Am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Angry and upset I could cry. Boys been out airsofting with mates, James has come home in tears, was shot in the face and has lost half his top front tooth. 3 years of bloody braces.............oh I could cry. Sad

shabbatheGreek · 20/10/2013 18:21

Oh bloody hell Trips - Tom just said 'Ouch' when I read your message to him and then I had to google what 'airsofting' is!!! Do they not wear guards or anything? Reading your message made me shudder.

triplets · 20/10/2013 22:52

oh Shabs, still feeling gutted and I know its only a tooth, but its his bloody front tooth. I sent a pm to the boy concerned on FB asking him to contact me, he just did. His reply was "yeh"? He knows what I want him for. They do wear protective gear, everywhere but their mouths! I have always been afraid they would blind each other, have spent God knows how much on Amazon buying visors etc. Dk just says its no good me going on, it won`t change thins, I bloody well know that. Will pm you the rest.................xx

MultipleMama · 20/10/2013 23:17

Ouch, Trips! Don't they have face guards? Poor lad. :(

Well, I had a phone call from DH and head nurse earlier. He had gotten upset with a her nurse and asked him to leave ward. I went up to sort it out and find out what the hell had gone. From what I was told feom both parties. A nurse had "accidentally" handled Apollo carelessly when changing his covers. His neck wasn't supported well and it dropped back causing his alarm to go off and his heartrate drop dramtically. DH had witnessed the whole thing and instantly went into panic mode (swearing at her etc). DH was crying and shaking when I got there. We're both shaken up and now paranoid at leaving him alone. We're having a meeting with head nurse tomorrow to discuss the situation. As far as I'm concerned that nurse is going no where near our son. I know it was a mistake on her part and feels terrible but it could have killed him or broke his neck. I still can't think about it without panicking.

What a day! If I drunk alcohol, I'd be sharifng a bottle of wine with you, Trips! X

triplets · 20/10/2013 23:25

Oh Mama that is shocking, awful, your poor dh. x

MultipleMama · 20/10/2013 23:56

Just saw your previous reply, Trips! I have feeling the boy you contacted is one of those with a "yeah, so?" Attitude and finds it more funny than serious. I think I 'd be as wound up as you on J's behave especially after spending 3 years with braces. A front tooth is on view and it can damage self confidence sometimes. Would he like to borrow my goalie helmet and mouth guard for next time?! Grin

shabbatheGreek · 21/10/2013 01:11

Trips have replied to you my dear friend. We both walk the crappy path of the bereavement of a child. I wish we lived next door to each other so I could hug you, get drunk with you, dance with you and wet our pants laughing together Grin

Mamma that is so very, very wrong - in every way, shape and form. Disgusting - get them sorted out!!

MultipleMama · 21/10/2013 06:06

Not even been home 3 hours and my kids have aleady decided it's time to get up. It's not fair. DH slept in the parents room last night at hospital - too paranoid and wound up to leave, wish I could have stayed too. Meeting is at 10am after doctor rounds.

It's a good job kids are in school/nursery and that DH's bosses are understanding!

Morning, ladies!! Rise and shine!

Oh no, poor James! What will they do with it? Can it be crowned?

Poor Apollo too! That is terrible. Hope the meeting goes ok today, mama.

We had quite a quiet weekend. Relaxed mostly, went food shopping with a tesco giftcard I won. Free food is very handy! Went for a run yesterday and did 5k in 31 minutes, new personal best! Dead chuffed with that.

So mad. First the head nurse was late to meeting and then told us the girl had phoned in sick. Needless to say DH was furious and called them on her bullshit and made the threat of she comes here or we'll be go above her head and claim abuse and neglect on both their counts. Another meeting was scheduled for 12pm this time she arrived. When we asked why she didn't turn up she said was scared she'd lose her job and felt we were simply overreacting. I have never wanted to intentionall hurt someone before but I was so close to hit her. She's been a NICU nurse for over 6 years she should know how to hold a preemie! Blah blah blah. It ran on for an hour and things were settled. She is no longer allowed any part of caring for Apollo or be present when Doctors discuss his care. She is been done for neglect and unwittingly causing harm. She'll be working on SCBU until a decision has been made to whether they'll take further action. We've express she doesn't handle any part of Artie's care while she's there.

DH is down on SCBU having cuddles with Artie. I don't think DH will stop until she's off ward altogether but I doubt that will ever happen

MultipleMama · 21/10/2013 14:29

Sok, that's not fair of your dad to compare your boys. Both have different needs of care and both have different personalities. Glad the Christianing went well.

What to watch now, hate it when my fav programmes end, think she won it fair and square.
Feeling very fed up atm, feel wound up tonight like a spring. James had his tooth patched up today until they can crown it, he went to ATC tonight and came home with the repair missing! He had a Milky Way and off it came! I still feel so bloody upset about it, yes I know it could have been worse but I am upset. How long do the kids get free dental treatment?
Then...........Rebecca uses this laptop vey night before I get up here, she dumps it on my be when she hears me coming up. Well tonight she dumped it and crash, it hit the floor. I started it up an it made a horrible noise, and now when I type it keeps missing letters................grrrrrrrr I am a bit fed up tonight..............can you tell??

MultipleMama · 23/10/2013 01:40

Don't tell me who wins I haven't seen it yet! Too busy trying to get a 2yo to bed who thinks it's funny to climb over the baby gates and wake up the twins. She finally passed out snuggled at the bottom of the twins' crib with her throw at half 10. Of course the twins aren't bothered and are happily sleeping but I'm going to have one cranky toddler tomorrow.

Oh Trips. Sounds like such a bad day! I think free healthcare stops when they leave full time education... don't quote me on it though. Some of your keys may have a popped. Have you tried pushing the certain keys hard 'til he makes a pop noise, that usually solves it. If it doesn't then I think your keys are knackered. Sorry! Hope tomorrow is a better day for you and the weather clears up a bit!

shabbatheGreek · 23/10/2013 08:13

Morning girls xx

Trips it is definitely up to their 16th birthday because I read that at our dentist last week, and because your 3 are still at high school after they are 16 they will still get it free. Then I am sure it will cover them till they are 18 as long as they are in college. Worth ringing the dentist to find out.

Sokmonsta · 23/10/2013 10:20

Always used to be free dental up to age 19 if in full time education. Since they insist dc stay in education until they are 18 now is be pretty annoyed if they changed this.

Won't spoil it for you mama. Just let us know when you've watched it.

Currently baking gingerdead men for preschool fundraising. Yum.

Loose Women just told me the winner of GBBO. Dammit.

I hope your making some of those gingerdead men for us, Sok? Wink I wish K's school did stuff like that. I would loved to get involved like that.

I'll be making Marble Pumpkin cheesecake, Soul cakes for Hallow's day, and maybe a pumpkin cake.

I've also bought the kid's halloween outfits! So excited to take them out. K's outfit, A's outfit, The twins' and Artie's Grin

MultipleMama · 23/10/2013 16:33

As I type I'm currently sat on the steps watching DH playing his guitar unaware I'm here. He's singing; If I die young by The Band Perry. Now I'm in tears. Such a beautiful song.

Sokmonsta · 23/10/2013 18:51

[wheels in the tea trolley with gingerdead men]. Promptly scoffs one. gingerdead Fred and voodoo fred

. I love those cutters! Think I'll invest in some! I already have Halloween all planned out; down to the food and outfits. Even my father is dressing this year and then DH are going on a night out with friends when the kids are in bed.

You ladies any plans for the upcoming weeks?
