Morning! Since its a sunny day here I thought I'd say sunny hellos. Unless of course anyone else has beat me to it and I've missed the new thread.

Sorry - really busy here!
Chops - Your DD sounds like my J, and to some extent M as well- the foul mouth, Youtube abuse, detentions and all! J got a detention from his french teacher, which he didnt attend, so got another one, didnt go and ended up with an after school one and on report card. They have a parents access website which can log on to any time and see the latest good and bad happenings, so i now log onto Js o a regular basis to check whats going on. I have just listened to an answerphone msg from his form tutor asking me to come in and speak to her, I'm not happyAngry!
Mama - I hope Apollo improves enough to have treatment. M had to have major surgery at only 14days, he seemed so tiny, but these little ones show they can be real fighters.
Soks - The massage may well really help, it used to help M at times when he got the muscle pains.
Shabs - DH and I were talking about this last night, and we both agreed that it was disgusting.
Trips - I'm glad the heart checks went ok, and also very pleased for you that the consultant has been so sensible with his approch both to the move to his unit and keeping an eye on them, But your DH behaved like an arse!
DH has got his car back on the road, thank God.
Went for a check up on the ankle yesterday and a bit upset, I thought the swelling and pain I still get was normal, but apparently it isnt, one of the bolts has worked its way out of the bone and is causing irritation. My lovely consultant said she is going to scan it, and then we will decide what to do. I apparently have 3 choices, 1: Put up with it, but it may get worse, 2:have steroid injections to reduce the inflamation in the hope it will settle down (max of 5) or 3: have her do another op to screw it back in and put another bit of graft over it. Dont know what to do at the moment, I think I will wait for the scan.
The other news is work has told every department they have to try and find people to take voluntery redundancy, if no one is found, then compulsory will be on the cards, my boss came to see me personally to tell me, so it makes me think that they are looking at me as my sickness/absence is high. Another reason to wait and see about this ankle, i think.Sad I know i will have some protection under the descrimination act, but it may not be enough.

Good morning ladies and it is a good day indeed.

Tomorrow Artemis is being moved from the NICU to SCBU as she's doing really well. She's still on the oxgyen at night and in the incubator. She's putting on weight and her feeding is improving. So proud of her :)

Bubs - If it was me I think I'd opt for the operation because it seems the better long term solution but as you said it's a big decision and other factors come into it. Hope your job is safe! Because it's not your fault you've been ill and off sick xxx

Sokmonsta · 10/10/2013 10:02

Oh mama that is some good news for Artemis, will you be getting more cuddles too?. Hopefully Apollo will be able to follow soon.

All go here. HV, blood tests, preschool boosters, harvest festival and rainbows today. Somewhere I have to fit in lunch for all of us so think harvest festival may just have to be left out. If I can't get to church early enough I won't go anyway as there will be nowhere to put the double pushchair :(

Sokmonsta · 10/10/2013 13:20

Harvest festival has been ditched. Lunch is still cooking for the little ones.

Just a quick reply as the twins are currently chasing each other and 10 seconds away from knocking each other. K & A are attacking DH with tickle. There's bound to be an accident soon haha.

Anyway, the nurse in charge of caring for the twins is gunna call me tonight around 6pm to tell me if the Doctors are gunna allow DH and I our first hold of Apollo! Fingers crossed! :)

bubby64 · 10/10/2013 19:42

MultipleMama · 10/10/2013 19:49

Chopstheduck · 10/10/2013 20:05

Aww that is brilliant mama! Happy cuddling x

{{{{hugs}}}}} bubby, seems to be one thing after another atm.

Trips that is good news :)

Dd appears to be keeping her head down and has actually been a lot more pleasant to be around.

triplets · 10/10/2013 23:13

Lovely news Mama :)
dk been a dk again and I am very cross...........very

shabbatheGreek · 10/10/2013 23:19

Oh Trips - you OK love? Stupid question I know - just let me know if there is anything I can do - or help with xxx

triplets · 10/10/2013 23:27

He just really p**s me off, stupid row tonight because I want to put a mirror up in our dining area, was accused of spending too much time looking in one! Was told I am as bad as my neighbour, told him he should be married to her, she is his age, not someone as young as me!! Did not go down well.......bloody men!

shabbatheGreek · 10/10/2013 23:44

My God - they are all barking mad!!!!!!!!!!! My DK says to me 'Why dont you go and buy some new clothes?' I am not interested in material stuff - only buy clothes when I really need them. IF I was to go and buy something really pretty he would say 'Who are you trying to impress with that???' Kick him in the nuts Trips - really hard - and then one more time from me PMSL. Barking bloody mad!!

triplets · 11/10/2013 06:18

Morning girls. Wide awake after sleepless night, blowing a gale out there and its still dark at 6am, depressing. Hate the end of summer, am not a winter person. I expect today is going to be a quiet one, no talking after last nights row. Tonight I have the girls here for book club supper, something to look forward to. I am cooking chicken with lemon/garlic/thyme drizzled with balsamic vinegar. Little potatoes Spanish style with red onion/chorizo/peppers and smoked paprika. For pud a lemon meringue pie and a fresh raspberry cake served with clotted cream.

Leftovers will be on the trolley later :o

shabbatheGreek · 11/10/2013 06:57

Morning girls xx

Dark, windy and very cold here Trips Sad

Chopstheduck · 11/10/2013 07:48

HMF - leftovers?!

I wanna come to book club!

Chopstheduck · 11/10/2013 07:49

windy and cold here too. I hate winter. :( So depressing to think this is the last of the warm weather til next year now. I need to win a winter sun holiday!

MultipleMama · 11/10/2013 08:20

Windy and cold here too but I love Autumn and winter. I love wrapping up warm and cuddling with family in front of fire on a night. Although with the A-team I'm dreading either us or the DC catching colds!

Your DK deserves a kick in his manly parts! Hope you enjoy book club tonight. Save me some leftovers? :)

Last night I held my son and all our problems melted as he slept on my chest. It took 45 minutes to move him as his sats kept dropping and they taught me what to look for (vitals wise) while holding him. It broke my heart to put him back after only an hour. DH will be holding him tonight. Grin Grin

Sokmonsta · 11/10/2013 11:51

Morning ladies. I love the colder weather. Stew and hot chocolate weather :)

Mama. I know an hour isn't long but I hope you get many longer cuddles very soon. Keeping everything crossed for you that the winter bugs stay away.

shabbatheGreek · 11/10/2013 12:02

I really, really dont like this weather. Give me some hot Greek sunshine any day x

Sokmonsta · 11/10/2013 13:32

Sending sunny vibes Shabs. Picturing a sunny terrace with whitewashed walls, jug of retsina or ouzo on the table. Meze (however you spell it) to dip into at your leisure.
