The Science Museum sounds good - it's in South Kensington right? What does everyone else think? What about timing is mid morning (maybe 11.a.m. onward) better for some mums who have school pick ups? I will leave date suggestion to someone else too

yingers74 · 28/11/2004 14:27

Hello all, I would aim to be there about 10.30 ish as I like to get out of the house quite early otherwise dd goes a bit mad! Am happy to wait around for others to arrive as we would probably not leave until about 1ish.

Date - second week of January? I can pretty much do any day but Friday as most of my classes etc are drop-in. Wednesday might also might be tricky as it might be my turn to volunteer at dd's playsession, need to wait and see rota!

MarsLady · 28/11/2004 16:37

Sounds good to me. Not Mondays or Fridays if poss.

yingers74 · 28/11/2004 18:21

lets see what others say and then perhaps we can get a date sorted out!

pedilia · 28/11/2004 18:25

I am easy with days/times !!!

yingers74 · 28/11/2004 21:07

I can't make fridays so I guess Mondays?

Dev81 · 29/11/2004 04:06

i'm cool with as i don't work so anyday is good for me

heymissy · 29/11/2004 17:45

I will still be on mat leave so any day is good - though 4th Jan is no good as I have an appointment that day

Embee · 30/11/2004 11:59

Hi there - sorry been on for ages. Come Jan I'm back at work mon-thurs so can only do Fridays!

Have not yet made it to Kew but gonna try to go next week 9th or 10th. Let me know if anyone wants to meet there!!!

yingers74 · 30/11/2004 15:32

ok, just realised read marslady's posting wrong, thought it said can do monday and fridays only! I think it may have to be the case that we do one meeting on either tuesday, wednesday or thurs and then do the next one on a friday so embee can come along too!

piximon · 01/12/2004 08:54

I'm also easy on dates and times so should be able to fit around everyone else.

yingers74 · 02/12/2004 14:48

are any of u going to the london mumnetters xmas party?

MarsselectionboxLady · 02/12/2004 14:53

no. couldn't get brain to work enough to think about it, may now look at thread again and see. Looking forward to seeing you lot in Jan and shamelessly comparing babies hair etc.

Zinger · 02/12/2004 14:59

Yes! Hope to see you there!

Re. Jan - afternoons are still best for us but if that's no good, mornings may be possible as DD may have dropped her morning nap by then - so go ahead with whatever's good for everyone else. Any weekday should be fine, except Mons.

Yep we'll be at the party. It'll be great to meet up with some other mums but I'm quite shy so a bit nervous.

yingers74 · 07/12/2004 09:18

hello, shall we say w/c 10th or 17th jan, either week is fine with me and i think by then i will have recovered from any new year/xmas celebrations!

MarsselectionboxLady · 07/12/2004 09:20

Shall we try the week of the 10th? My big ones will all be back in school and nothing would be happening that I would need to stay home for. Once the term starts life begins to fill with assemblies and music shows lol

Zinger · 07/12/2004 10:28

Sounds good to me - any day except Mon

Hi all

have been on Mn for years but have been following this thread with interest.

Was thinking of tagging along (Black/British, White/Britiss DH, mixed racs 3 yr old DS, 4 months pregnant).

However, am only available Fridays and live in deepest Suburbia (SM6), so may not be able to make it Sad

Could throw a sicky, I suppose Grin

MarsselectionboxLady · 10/12/2004 22:57

Hi Poshpaws. Definitely throw a sickie once we have set an actual date. Grin

yingers74 · 12/12/2004 22:39

Hey guys just wanted to wish everyone a very happy xmas and a wonderful new year! See u in 2005 hopefully Smile

MarsselectionboxLady · 12/12/2004 23:17

And to you Yingers. Looking forward to meeting you in 05 Grin

Embee · 14/12/2004 13:14

I can only make Fri 14th of that week - didn't think of throwing a sickie - could do!

Rain forest Cafe (Shaftsbury Av) is suppose to be good for kids. I have not been but it has been mentioned on another thread as a good meeting place in central london.

MarsLady · 03/01/2005 11:29

So girlies are we ready to set a date for next week?

Embee · 05/01/2005 08:37

Yes - 14th is best for me. Can't throw a sickie on that week as have too much going on.
