Hi

The kids are on a break next week. Can anyone out there manage to meet thru the hols??

Poshpaws · 07/02/2005 13:22

Network, when I say 'Surrey Borders' I mean the border of London, so I will be able to get there by train.

Cannot do half term as someone else at work has that time

Hi

Would a weekend do (not 26th Feb) but prob the Sat after 5th March 2005. May be others good make that date. May be meet in one of the museums as others have suggested. Thoughts Pls?

heymissytoe · 07/02/2005 16:20

Wey Hey!!

Thought I'd missed this - have been offline for a while - someone suggested further down this thread to have a mid week meet and a Friday meet so we can all get along to one or the other - Friday is great for me as my year of mat leave is almost up . I will watch out for dates!!

network · 07/02/2005 17:27

Hi
Unfortunately I work so a weekend meet is the only time i and DD can make it. May be if i took on the role to try and organise a Saturday meet whilst someone else organised the week day meet, that would suit most people.
Thoughts pls

Zinger · 07/02/2005 17:29

Good idea network - I've been out of the loop a bit lately but will do my best to be at any meetup that's arranged. If a weekend, would probably drag DH along too

This is sounding very good
Ok So all who can make a Saturday London meet on 5th March pls let me know on this section and make some suggestions for child friendly places that will be easy to get to and fun for the kids.

MunchedTooManyMarsLady · 08/02/2005 00:00

Saturdays a bit of a 'mare for me as I have 3 older kids. Will check DS1's rugby schedule and what the DDs are up to. Also we are out early that evening on DS1's school fundraiser. Salsa dancing. How could I say no????

Will definitely try though.

network · 08/02/2005 12:44

Embee · 09/02/2005 13:19

Hi there, I've been away for a bit too. glad the meet up is still on.

Sat 5th is good for me too as are Fridays.

Look forward to it.

Poshpaws · 09/02/2005 13:21

Not sure about Sat 5th, but I am off for a week from work the week AFTER half-term (if that made any sense).

Can do any day that week apart from Tuesday and Friday.

If no-one can do that week, will try and make 5th March.

network · 09/02/2005 13:23

Hi Everyone
Thanks for getting back. Hopefully we'll see a few more for Saturday.

Embee · 10/02/2005 15:36

Great -
Have we decided on a venue for 5th?
What sort of time?

network · 11/02/2005 13:50

Hi

Re venue
please make suggestions. I will post some on Wednesday when i am back at work. I am thinking somewhere that is easy to get to by tube and is of course child friendly.
Re times
would lunch time be ok for all dd/ds around 12.30pm?

Embee · 15/02/2005 16:19

Science museum sounds like the best bet. apparently it's v good for the under 6s.

Hi

I hope i'm not throwing confusion but the natural history looks good also.

If we can have everyones input by the 28th. Feb also their times that would be great

Poshpaws · 16/02/2005 14:49

I should be able to make Sat 5th.

Ds is 3.5 yrs old and I will be 7 months pregnant by then. Hopefully, I will be up for wandering around museums....

Poshpaws · 16/02/2005 14:50

Oops, forgot to say that mornings would be better for me as well.

network · 16/02/2005 17:16

Hi

What time in the mornings and are museums ok for you all. I'm going home now so speak tom.

Poshpaws · 17/02/2005 11:53

Sorry, will probably have to give this one a miss, unless you will be sitiing around drinking coffee watching the kids play.

Am in quite a bit of discomfort when walking NOW let alone in 2 weeks time.

Will be able to make it after June, once buba is out and I can walk like a human again .

Count me in for the next one!

network · 17/02/2005 13:18

Hi posh

Perhaps we could let you sit and have a rest whilst myself and the other mums keep your little one occupied. What do you think.

Poshpaws · 17/02/2005 13:22

Not so sure that would wokr. Even walking for about 10 minutes is not pleasant .

Will give it some thought, though. Don't really want to miss out of I don't have to.
