Oooh, that looks interesting. Might be the best of both worlds. I can't see whether the winnings are taxed or not (might make a big difference to some people).

That's what I thought. Don't know much about it but they do a fixed saver for 5.3% for a year, bung in 5K and hopefully win a prize as well. Much fewer prizes but presumably fewer people who are entered.

I think you can also enter once so everyone is on an even playing field.

My daughter won £50 on £2k of bonds - I think she's going to be the lucky one in the family!

I noticed the Halifax prize thing before. I was always slightly unsure about which accounts were eligible.

It would be tempting if I had £50k +

My hubs has all the luck- tiny holding but has won 1 x £25, 1 x £50 (in the past) and this month won £100! He's only had the holding since about January and has been taking little bits and bobs out of it regularly. Mine has been sat for 18m and not a sausage! On about 8 or 9% interest rate atm I think!

OK, this is a new experience. I (repeatedly) refreshed the prize checker app just after midnight into the 2nd August, repeated error messages, then a message that results wouldn’t be available until the 3rd before finally getting a “No luck this month”.

So no luck August . . . . Then this morning 2 envelopes, but I was expecting other letters from NS&I . . . .SURPRISE . . . £100 and £50! Go back and check the app again and it’s telling me 26 days until next results, but still not showing August’s wins!

This has never happened to me before, but I’ve only been checking the app like this for 6 months or so. Has anyone else had surprises after checking the app?

Oh excited to find this thread, Premium bond day is the most excitement I get!

Nothing for me this month , usually get at on average £100

Not been paid yet either @Blondeshavemorefun I assumed today given the earlier draw but it's bank holiday in Scotland so maybe that's why?

I can see my re-invested prize winnings as bonds.

Both me and DH have 50k invested.

I won £25, he won £400 this month.

I've just topped mine up by a couple of k from a savings account that matures in Aug every year. Still nowhere near FH but 2500 extra chances to win something.
