£100 on 19k, which is about right for current interest rates I think.

Ohmylovejune · 02/08/2023 16:12

I believe its from the remaining estate - the receiver could well have spent it - but you'd need to check that with a qualified advisor. There are some extra times it can be more than 3k too, marriage gifts for descendents, excess income (again that would need qualified advice).

WeAreBorg · 02/08/2023 16:29

Thank you @Ohmylovejune really helpful! And spending part of the win on a trip to Japan is exactly what I would do, very excited for you!

Cowhen · 02/08/2023 16:32

I posted on the old thread, but just to check-in here, I had no win this month (~6500 holdings).

Caterina99 · 02/08/2023 16:43

£100 for me on 25k
Nothing for DH on 25k
£25 for DC1 on 5k ish
Nothing for DC2 on 5k ish

Not great but not terrible

h0rsewithn0name · 02/08/2023 16:48

£50 win on £10k holdings. Only my second win this year, so I'm just running at 2%. Needs to do better.

Daisymay2 · 02/08/2023 17:44

I took out most of my PB last month to pay for my new car. I won £75 on the remaining £7K, so feeling quite happy about that. Neither DS won anything.

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/08/2023 17:49

bunanarama · 02/08/2023 14:45

My 3yo just won £100 with £122 holding! After selling a bunch of the kids clothes etc on vinted decided to start putting the proceeds into premium bonds for them..... winning bond was purchased June. Its been reinvested, dont need £100 of more paw patrol toys cluttering the house

Wow @bunanarama That's amazing

Keep going like that and soon will have £50k 😂

I've just had my 1st win after 4 months. On £1200 I won £100. V happy with that. I had £2400 (in holdings) last month and £3600 the month before but withdrew a big chunk. Wasn't expecting anything again.

Fab @Smellycat23

So nice to see small amounts can win

Nothing on 50k, very disappointing!

PurplePositivity · 02/08/2023 18:00

I won £125, really pleased on about £18k holding it gets reinvested so I can't spend it!

Louloubelles · 02/08/2023 18:03

Wondering if anyone knows what % ‘profit’ or equivalent interest rate these figures would work out at?
3 lots of 50k holdings from July 2022 to July 2023 total winnings for all 3 of £5425.
Thanks if you’re able to help.

I make that about 3.6% which is not bad over a year!

napsarelifewithtwo · 02/08/2023 18:46

£200 on 20k and £225 on FH. After a couple of poor months I'm happy with that

SwedishEdith · 02/08/2023 19:56

Does anyone track their winnings per bond? I've got around £15k but notice some sets of numbers have won more than others. I've won at least £50 for the last 5 months though. Would love a big chunky win though greedy.

breathequietly · 02/08/2023 20:34

Won nothing on my £25 holding... Grin
Just bought another £50 though so fingers crossed in a couple of months. Inspired by you all!

WobblyLondoner · 02/08/2023 20:43

£125 on £45k and DS won £150 on £15k, lucky boy.

This year has been quite good for me, the high point being in April when I got £1,125!

DawnAnn · 02/08/2023 21:29

£100 for me this month (2 x £50). Pleased with that x

Happiestathome · 02/08/2023 21:48

@SwedishEdith i track mine. A block I have of £4k finally won its first £25 this draw after just over 2 years in the draw! I’ve not yet won off anything I’ve reinvested which amounts to approx £2.5k in total

curiousmamma · 02/08/2023 22:20

£125 for DH
£550 for me!
Never won more than £100 so am very chuffed!

My mum recently won £50 which was reinvested, then one of those bonds won her another £50 the next month!

Ihateslugs · 03/08/2023 01:10

Just £75 on full holding, disappointing. I won £175 last month which is the most I’ve had so way behind the amount I would get in a savings account, even taking into account that it’s interest free.

I’ve had £20,000 since December, topped up to £50,000 in May.

Have won £325 in total since I first bought the bonds, which is pretty poor returns. But I inherited the money from my mum and decided to give PBs a go for a year for the fun really. Later this year, mums house should be sold and then I’ll need to look at better investments.

5425 divided by 150,000 x 100 = 3.61%

CatMattress · 03/08/2023 06:53

Nothing. Again. For me or the kids. Genuinely wondering if it's the best place to keep my money, but I do so enjoy the lottery feeling. Perhaps when I get to 10k I can split it and put some in PB and some in a savings acct

boatgirl81 · 03/08/2023 10:55

Has anybody explored the other premium bond type savings accounts like the halifax? You need to have 5K but you also earn a normal interest rate from the account. Are there any others?
