New thread for when old one is full and for October - exciting time as lots more prizes for October - less £25 ones but many more £50

Friday 30th is last working day of the month so maybe one of us will get THAT VISIT - saying won a million - blondes faints

wouldn’t it be lovely if we all won something even £50 in October

£25 on full holdings. Since the rate went up, my prize amounts have plummeted. Seriously tempted to move my money now.

Snowpaw · 02/12/2022 09:32

£150 on full holdings for me
£50 on £48k for DD

Trees6 · 02/12/2022 09:35

Nothing on £14K.

PBs are looking less and less appealing from a mathematical viewpoint.

But it’s the possibility of a sizeable win that keeps me in! And by sizeable, I mean £1000 -£5000. I don’t expect to win the million.

doodles55 · 02/12/2022 09:48

£100 on full holding
Delighted

AllOfTheDwarves · 02/12/2022 10:22

£25 on £10k. First win for ages!

cptartapp · 02/12/2022 10:45

Me 2x £25 on £13k
DH 2x£25 on £15k
DS1 £25 on £10k

reesewithoutaspoon · 02/12/2022 10:57

0 on full holdings. disappointed tbh

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 02/12/2022 11:20

£100 on full holdings, about time too!

Luckylau · 02/12/2022 11:22

£25 on £500. Second time in draw, so very pleased with that.

theblueflowers · 02/12/2022 11:44

£25 for me on full holdings- rubbish! This is my first win in 3 months, too.

DH got £100 on full holdings after nothing last month.

We just seem to be unlucky!

StandardLampski · 02/12/2022 11:51

Nothing - again, on £21k..
.
Nothing since 25 in Jun.... boo
...

I had £50 on full, and that is the norm for me.
It is hard to see the benefits of PB any more, when I can get at least that on a standard savigs account.

A few on this board also appear to be 'unlucky' - or that is the norm now?

RubbishDay · 02/12/2022 12:23

Had the discussion this morning on whether to move them as DH only got £25 so that was £75 across 2 FH but we have only had FH for 6 months so will keep them for now.

I’ve pulled out a fair chunk as I’ve been “unlucky” all year. I’m seeing around 0.5% on pbs and can get 3% elsewhere.

it’s not worth it for the slim chance of beating that.

LittleFriendSusan · 02/12/2022 12:52

Nothing on £30k between us - was hoping for a little Christmas bonus but hey ho.

£200 overall on last 6 draws which isn't great tbh.

Zipps · 02/12/2022 12:58

We have about £10k each and won £50 between us. We always reinvest prizes.
We only do premium bonds for fun and because you don't lose money unlike the lottery. Premium bonds returns are pretty poor against our other investments.

Sneakyblinders · 02/12/2022 13:04

How do you work out what rate of interest it equates to? I'm £125 for £40k which happy with but I didn't get anything Jan to March!

Alexandra2001 · 02/12/2022 13:07

I'd get 1200 tax free p.a if i went for an average 1yr fixed rate savings account.
atm i'll stick but should interest rates go up again... then i'll move out of PB's.. the last 2 months have me on about 1.5%.... it was only a larger win earlier in the year that has evened things out....
Jeez just seen Nationwide are doing a 1 yr fixed rate bond @4%.... tempted.

torthecatlady · 02/12/2022 13:15

£50 for me and £25 for dh

torthecatlady · 02/12/2022 13:17

Seems to be quite a few winners on the Facebook group.

What Facebook group is this please?

Nothing for us this month, although we don't have a huge amount. £7k between the two kids and £4k for me.

Winnings/holding x 100, so for you that would be about 0.3% this year. Obviously if your holdings have changed during the year that makes a difference.

torthecatlady · 02/12/2022 13:32

@Eileen101 I think it's Premium Bonds (Unofficial)

dizzydizzydizzy · 02/12/2022 13:37

£150on full holdings. Same last month!

NimrodNimroy · 02/12/2022 13:39

Nothing for us again 😕
