wouldn’t it be lovely if we all won something even £50 in October

I have almost full holdings and DD £9k. I won £25 for the second month in a row. DD nothing. Bad run 🤦🏻‍♀️

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/12/2022 18:39

Not sure who was the highest winner

All seemed to be low wins

But better than nothing

whirlyswirly · 04/12/2022 22:36

£100 this month. Just over £2k won in 2022.

That's really good!

MrsDoyle351 · 13/12/2022 08:04

Just totting up what I'd won in 2022 - around £700 - which is average and works out at 1.4% interest.

Happy news from NSI in that from January, the new 'interest rate' for premium bonds is going up further to 3% ...... it was 2.2% from October.

wobytide · 13/12/2022 08:41

Interesting that the new change isn't increasing the number of prizes in total but the number of higher and medium value prizes is increasing a lot whilst the lower value prizes are decreasing in numbers.

boatgirl81 · 13/12/2022 16:38

It feels like they are phasing out the £25 prize.

RubbishDay · 13/12/2022 16:49

I am pleased to see the increase :)

Hoping that means a happy new year for the January draw 🤞

RubbishDay · 13/12/2022 16:50

If the chances stay the same but if you win it's bigger that sounds good to me 😁

losingit31 · 13/12/2022 16:57

On a year of FH, I won £525 and DH won £500 - total is £100 more than last year (but we got £375 this draw!)

UrsulaPandress · 13/12/2022 17:24

It used to be £50 a few years ago.

I’d rather they upped the odds of winning the lower prizes, rather than decreasing them as part of increasing the higher prizes.

Ive got a FH and live the idea of winning big even if it’s statistically unlikely. I’d much rather have my average return being a bit higher (with still a small chance of winning big), which is much more likely with more £25 prizes.

I always get confused about which draw is which - which date will be the first at the new rates?

Summerof22 · 14/12/2022 12:07

The app says next results will be January 4th.

so would the million be on Tuesday 3rd? Since Monday 2nd is a bank holiday

TangledBlue · 14/12/2022 12:54

This is great news, they've pretty much tripled the chances of winning every prize from £500 to £100,000. And now there's nearly as much chance of winning either £50 or £100 as there is of winning £25.

53 of my 54 prizes have been for £25 and I was getting a bit bored of it.

boatgirl81 · 14/12/2022 14:05

I am not great with numbers? Are the odds of winning a prize the same? You are just more likely to get a bigger prize?

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/12/2022 14:11

Thought million was last working day of the month so Fri 30th dec

Yes that's correct. The odds of winning are still 24,000 to 1. But there's a lot fewer £25 prizes and a lot more of every prize from £50 to £100,000.

Chittering · 14/12/2022 16:38

This will be my first draw..i joined at the start of November and I am very excited to be finally in the draw!. Just a quick question for you experts.I have added an extra £1000 to my holdings today. Will I have to wait until next month for them to be included or will they be added on straight away? Will be watching here closely on the big day!

Trees6 · 14/12/2022 19:18

They be included in Feb’s draw, @Chittering

Withnoshoes · 15/12/2022 11:40

I’ve only a few grand in and I put a little extra in monthly( £25-50) thanks to cost of living. It’s not my main savings just a handy place and I like the monthly fun.

I really don’t win often however I like the fact I’ve more chance of winning more than £25 as that’s all I’ve ever got!

WeAreBorg · 15/12/2022 19:38

Just joining as I moved some of my emergency fund into PBs in time for the January draw.
I really want to be that arsehole who swans in, wins a million then pisses off again. Wish me luck.

WobblyLondoner · 18/12/2022 08:51

Totted up winnings this year - £575 in total, of which £425 has been in the last six months. 1.15% return overall. On full holdings.

torthecatlady · 18/12/2022 22:15

@WobblyLondoner same for me.
