£50 for me

JubileeTrifle · 04/10/2022 08:27

3 x £25 for DH, and I got 1x £25, 1x£50 and 1x £100. So £250 on full holdings.

@ServerSurfer we have got other savings, not getting good interest. The thing with premium bonds is the chance to get a good return .

buying some for DD this month but too late for November draw now.

Hugasauras · 04/10/2022 08:29

Decent haul this month! £100 for me, £150 for DH and £75 for DD1.

UrsulaPandress · 04/10/2022 08:31

@ServerSurfer I have money in stocks and shares as well which used to make good returns but since Covid and Ukraine and the budget has lost 10% of its value.

I love my bonds as I ‘might’ win big, get a little most months and is really easy access.

ServerSurfer · 04/10/2022 08:32

RoachTheHorse · 04/10/2022 08:23

@ServerSurfer we have money borrowed for a specific project on the house but our builder just delayed for a period of time so stuck the money in bonds to keep it safe until we need it!

That's clever, how amazing would it be if you won one of the big prizes!!

Yes I opened a stocks and shares Isa too, but like you say, return is terrible at the moment!

OublietteBravo · 04/10/2022 08:35

£50 for me - and a single £50 prize rather than 2x £25 ones, which I think is a first. Final month with full holdings as it is time to start paying for our extension.

PanicAtTheBigTesco · 04/10/2022 08:43

@ServerSurfer mine is savings for a house deposit, so I max out a lifetime ISA each year (£4k) and then anything I save over that was going into premium bonds (I've now moved a lot into my Chase savings account as it had a good interest rate but may move some back to PB). I then have about £2k in an easy access account with a Santander earning pennies in interest.

BarbaraofSeville · 04/10/2022 08:59

Nothing for me here. Mine is a 'self offset' mortgage overpayment fund because until recently, the payout rate has been better than the ultra low margin lifetime tracker we have, but I'm getting to the stage where the balance has tipped against us and it might be time to throw the money at the mortgage instead.

KevinsChilli · 04/10/2022 09:02

Nothing for me on 20k. I had full 50k in last month's draw and won nothing so withdrew 30k to put into savings, now that they're 2%+ on interest I prefer the guarantee of money each month.

SavingsThreads · 04/10/2022 09:04

£25 for me on £40k. Which takes my 6 months total to... £25. And my 1 year total to... £125. What a poor rate of return!

SavingsThreads · 04/10/2022 09:04

Ouch! This is why I withdrew a big chunk after no wins on 50k. Didn't mind when interest rates were very low anyway in savings, but now with 40k you can easily get at least £70 a month in savings at the moment. Rates are also continuining to go up.

Alexandra2001 · 04/10/2022 09:14

£50 on 40k of holdings, so a total of £175 in the 2 months i ve held this amount, with my previous 10k, got nothing for many many months.

sashagabadon · 04/10/2022 09:22

I got boys shaking wet hair photo and £100! My best win ever

Hearthnhome · 04/10/2022 09:31

Just £25 for me. Kids got nothing. We have just over 35k across all 3

But in the last 12 months I am £1025 up on 30k holding. It’s where I hold my tax bill money so very happy with this. This is the worst month for the last 4.

Ds is £175 up on about 2.5k and dd is up £75 on somewhere around 2.5k

So all in all, it’s been good. And I do like having the chance to win a million off money o am waiting to pay to hmrc.

See stuff like this makes me think there's something defective with my £40k!

MissHopeful · 04/10/2022 04:35

We’ve won £450.00 in total - 12 prizes - happy with that!

@MissHopeful so far you are this months winner

so many of you won. But the poster with £40k who hasn’t won anything for a while does seem bad luck

but would £40k get £70 a month in savings so £840 a year in interest

£150 for me on full holdings - equal best-ever-result in years. Most months I get £25/£50, so I've won £450 in total in 2022, but like many people, I'm thinking hard about whether some needs to go into the mortgage when we come to the end of our fix.

Chasingsquirrels · 04/10/2022 09:58

£325 (1 x £100, 3 x £50, 3 x £25) on full holdings. That's the most I've ever had I think.

WhatATimeToBeAlive · 04/10/2022 10:03

2 x £25 for me this month!

Trees6 · 04/10/2022 10:11

Just under £14k holding, won £25 today. My return is around 2.3% so I’ll probably be withdrawing some when my mortgage fix expires next summer.

RedCheese · 04/10/2022 10:53

£75 on £40k holdings. 😀

Snowpaw · 04/10/2022 11:00

A good result today - £100 on full holdings for me and £125 on half holdings for my DD

RainingYetAgain · 04/10/2022 11:00

Nothing for me, but I've won every month since March on £28K, DS1 nothing, DS2 £125.
