Disappointing here, £25 over 3 accounts with £47k, £17k and £2k, after 0 for the last 2 months.

They're on a final warning!

Pemba · 05/05/2022 09:51

Not a sausage on over £62,000 between us! (me £47,000, him £15,000+).

Still it is the first time since November that there was no prize. I know we should perhaps put it in a sensible savings account. But there is always that chance and that dream which would be gone if we did that. I just know I am destined to win a big prize within the next year or two lol.

fedup078 · 05/05/2022 10:24

I've had £275 this year on full holdings
I'm not sure if I should move it or not really
Someone needs to win and I bet all those people who won big never thought it would happen to them
My friends 10 year old son won £1k last month
I'm also still considering just dumping it all in the mortgage. I'm sure there are ways of making a few £ over the mortgage interest rate if you put the effort in but there's a physiological advantage to being mortgage free

ThatPosterIsSoRight · 05/05/2022 10:42

Nothing. Nada. Zero. F-all.

for the third month running. I got £25 in Feb which is my only win this year.

On nearly full holdings.

😡

fedup078 · 05/05/2022 10:46

If I have some paper bonds from 40 years ago but no holders number can I still check if they've won somewhere or cash them into my account somehow ?

ninnynonny · 05/05/2022 10:46

I checked mine o Monday and all I saw was Sorry no win, so thought ah well. Got an email today saying I'd won! I'd clearly looked at Aprils - oops!
£75 from two bonds which is a nice surprise😀

BlueSpottedGiraffe · 05/05/2022 11:06

Nothing again on £45k, only won £250 across the last 12 draws which is about 0.5%. I have looked into the chase account a PP mentioned as my dad opened one recently but don't think I am going to make the move just yet...I like the thought of winning a million too much Grin. Also hopefully interest rates will go up across the board soon and there will be a few more options to choose from.

torthecatlady · 05/05/2022 11:55

£25 this month on full holding. That's £100 so far since January. Not the best so far, but hoping the second half of the year improves!

theAntsareMyFriends · 05/05/2022 13:05

£50 for me on 20k. Second eligible month and first win. I'm very pleased.

Last month I was planning on taking it all out and putting it in the Chase account. This month I'm thinking of putting more in. The psychological effect of PBs is interesting!

boatgirl81 · 05/05/2022 13:48

Does anyone know if the rate is likely to go up now that the interest rate has risen? Got £25 this month, would love someone a bit larger!

Cheshiresun · 05/05/2022 14:16

Won £100 (4 x £25) on one account, zero on the other for May! (2 times full holdings)

SmithfamilyRobinson · 05/05/2022 20:15

Also won £25 X 4 on £20k holdings. First win since I bought them in Dec/Jan so keeping a beady eye on wins versus interest rates. DH won £25 but DS nada.

Cheshiresun · 05/05/2022 21:11

Just had a look this year so far in total:

£200 winnings one account, £100 on the other, both FH.

NS&I really need to raise the prizes and rates across all accounts now the interest rates have increased, seeing they reduced them. No announcements have been made that I've seen yet. They're so slow with both withdrawing and depositing money too.

LadyGardenersQuestionTime · 05/05/2022 21:17

First ever win! £25 on £12k holdings. Every little held.

persephone19 · 06/05/2022 15:15

My second month on full holdings. Got £75 last month and £50 this month so I'm happy.

GetOffYou · 06/05/2022 18:43

£75 for me on full holdings.
total this year is £875 (but did have a £500 prize one month)

See I find this so weird. I won big like this when I first deposited, then nothing!

I've won nothing yet this year on £40k, despite winning big the first month, then a bit less, then £25, then nothing for ages now.

ENoeuf · 09/05/2022 08:27

I’ve just increased by £200 to £5100. Not won anything since I started buying them again (I’d cashed them all in before). It’s easy to have them there, just wondering if it’s the best place really.

dh found a paper bond recently and was able make an online account to check if he had won.
Not sure of the details.

Well, it's the best place if it's the best place for you at the moment. I suppose it depends if you want a defined return on your savings (in which case, somewhere else might be a better idea), or whether you're happy to have the possibility of a win every month. It also depends on how quickly you might need your money back - I think PBs take a few working days.

I think interest rates are so low it’s just an easy choice. Maybe if I get to 10k it will be worth looking for somewhere else.

fedup078 · 10/05/2022 09:10

Whilst pbs maybe don't pay the most I'm really starting to regret putting any money in stock and shares now
Wish I'd taken them out when they were 9% up as they are now 5.5% down
I don't think investing with any risk is for me

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/05/2022 10:23

@fedup078 that’s how I feel

my dad does lots of stocks and shares but I don’t like the risk , but he knows what he is doing

I don’t have a lot in pb but I love the thrill of what if I win …….

unlike the lottery someone will always win and you don’t lose your money

Not sure if anyone is interested but as there was a discussion about chase they've just sent me a referral code which if used we'd both get 20 quid.

Looks like I literally just send you a referral link, don't need to know each others details or anything. If anyone does want one let me know and I'll PM one to you.
