£25 on around full holdings.

I've generally been quite lucky before this month.

Has anyone on here ever won anything with less than £500 saved??😬

I wouldn’t even be able to put 1K away so just wondering really

Someone in last months list of big winners won £100,000 on £500.

Cactusali · 02/09/2022 18:09

Don't despair if you’ve not done well today. About 4 months ago my husband got a cheque for £25 weeks after the draw (normally any winnings are paid direct to our bank) because the bond-holder couldn’t be found. So it’s possible to get unexpected money further down the line. Admittedly this is the first and only time it has ever happened to us, but I suppose it does occur sometimes - and maybe for large amounts.

So how did they decide on your DH? Just pulled another bond?

I don't think this is how it works at all 🧐.

It doesn't work like that. There's no time limit on claiming a prize from a winning bond, so there would be no reason to contact another holder and reoffer a prize.

It definitely happened. I don’t think the accompanying letter gave much information but basically said the prize couldn’t be awarded to the bond-holder. I assumed it was from a recent draw but maybe it was years later. Perhaps someone who died and there was no-one to claim the estate? Unless we have a secret benefactor who forged the entire thing to give us 25 quid!

howfartospar · 02/09/2022 20:25

how much is full holdings please?

£50 000

UrsulaPandress · 02/09/2022 21:05

Sorry I don’t believe unclaimed prizes are randomly given to someone else.

You might have recieved the money but it won't have been an unclaimed prize from a different bond holder. It doesn't matter if they can't get hold of a winner, once awarded the prize is theirs, regardless of how much time has passed.

2x£25 for me on full holdings.

doodles55 · 03/09/2022 10:50

£75 on full holding! Delighted!

DeathWinsAGolfish · 03/09/2022 11:12

£25 x 1 for me and £25 x 3 for DH, on just under full holdings. Smile

ThisIsNotAFlyingToy · 03/09/2022 11:27

I won £25 this month. The bond that won was bought in March 2020 and if I'd not bought any more after that, I'd have had just £400 in bonds. So, yes you can win on low amounts and that would have been a 2.5% return, I think.

CornishTiger · 03/09/2022 11:40

£25 for DS on a small holding. £25 for DD last month. Fingers crossed it comes in threes!

OneFrenchEgg · 03/09/2022 12:59

Nothing for me but also a very disappointing experience - opened the app and taken straight to the countdown for October Confused so had to check past six draws which is much less fun.

Chanel05 · 03/09/2022 15:53

It's my first month with premium bonds and I have full holdings. Won £600 and DH won £125 (with full holdings) this month. A happy day for us yesterday!

Eaumyword · 03/09/2022 16:55

Wow! £725 is AMAZING!🥰

FinallyHere · 03/09/2022 21:00

£46k holding. I've had at least £25 every month this year except May

£125 this month.

£150 for me & £50 for DH - almost full holdings

SunflowerOrange · 04/09/2022 10:32

I'm still in awe of those with full holdings! If I could win enough to fill up my holdings that would be incredible 😆
