I've only won £75 this year on £40k Angry that's a return of 0.2% which is appalling.

Every month I tell myself I'll withdraw but it's the sunk cost fallacy, waiting to win big!

I read that they typically turn up when they think people would be at home so if you were of working age they would come early evening.

Hi, DH just received bonus that we'd like to add to his premium bonds. Is it too late with 1 day to go before end of month for them to be entered into October draw? It's a significant sum so will keep it in our current account which earns 1% interest if we'd be better waiting until near end of next month. We usually buy more at least 3 working days before end of month, so thinking today is too late...Thanks!

I could be wrong but I'm sure I read you have to hold bonds for one full month before they enter the draw, so with that in mind the best day to buy is the very last day of the previous month to ensure your months holding starts immediately. But I may have completely misunderstood.

That’s how I understood it. Martin Lewis recommended last day of the previous month too

Yes, I paid via debit card to put some more in yesterday afternoon and it all looked to go through straight away.
