Just received my tide £75 Uber voucher! Looks like it can be used for Uber taxis as well as Uber eats so that's good to know if you use them!

I just signed up to them and completed the "badges" but no sign of any jobs at the moment

ruralwanderer · 20/05/2022 21:43

I sacked off Neevo last year as they weren't paying properly and the money was poor enough without being short changed.

LolaMontezz · 21/05/2022 07:38

I also sacked off Neevo for similar reasons. I never did much for them though.
Lots of potatoes this morning 🥔

If anyone is still after a Chase referral to earn a quick £20 pm me 😀 This offer will be finishing on the 26th May.

TheFoldOx · 23/05/2022 14:49

I set myself a target at the beginning of the year of making £1200 by 31st December. While I'm not quite there yet, today I passed £1000 in the bank (with 20 Cogs due to pay out in five days time, plus more waiting in Prolific). The money's in a separate savings account known as the Fun Fund, purely for family activities and days out.

The ideas on this thread and its predecessors have been great. My main earnings have come from Prolific and matched betting. GoHenry, Qmee and LifePoints have all contributed, and as I mentioned above, 20 Cogs has been good, if not especially fast, though I did make around £20 on the online bingo games through 20 Cogs, as well as the main payment.

@DisgracefulDolly Hi, sorry for the slow reply! So I have only listed baby/toddler clothes on Vinted so far, they sell well (far better than FB marketplaces IME) but my experience on Vinted is limited to that category at the moment. I've never used Depop and haven't used ebay for quite a long time (and never for baby/toddler clothes, and only listed as auctions), so I can't really compare platforms, but the good points I've noticed on Vinted so far are:

  • Very quick and easy to list items.
  • Buyer pays the postage/fees so whatever you sell the item for is the amount you actually receive.
  • It's easy to buy multiple items from one seller. Most of my sales have been bundles (but obviously a lot of baby clothes are low value and I do tend to price cheaply as I need to get rid of a lot!).
  • I've had a good amount of quick sales, first sale was the same day I listed.
I haven't really found any negatives yet. I haven't had any issues as a seller or buyer so far. You do need to be careful with the postage when you start, you have to switch off any shipping providers you don't want to use. Also if you use Royal Mail then be aware that a Vinted 'small parcel' is actually RM large letter, and Vinted 'medium parcel' is RM 'small parcel'. There are a couple of other ways to increase sales that I've read about on other forums, but haven't used myself so far as I've been happy with the amount I'm selling. You can send 'offers' (basically just a reduced price) to people who favourite an item and you can also pay to 'bump' your items so they get seen more. People report having success using these but as I say I haven't personally tried them.

Good luck if you decide to give it a bash, if you do let me know how you get on Smile

Hi everyone, I’ve been lurking on here for a while and thank you for the AttaPoll tip, been doing it a week and I’ve made £8 so I’m happy with that!

I also joined chase for the free £20, if anyone would like to use my referral code I’d be grateful!

@ruralwanderer I saw your earlier posts about Search Sciences and I've just started working for them this week. Would you mind if I sent you a private message? I have a few queries you might be able to answer!

@90sBritPop @N0va Re being kicked out after basically doing the entire survey Angry I always report them! There's a bit in the help section where you can complain about a survey, I do it because they say they keep track of ones that don't pay out... Often it goes nowhere, but I have had a few 'goodwill' payments before off Attapoll themselves by doing this, so they must check some of the time.

Thank you I’ve reported these now but when I check back they seem to just resolve them with a generic automated answer which isn’t relevant. I.E being disqualified at the end but the resolved wording says ‘you can often be disqualified at the start…’ erm no, you’re not resolved! 🙄

I guess there’s nothing else to be done but it’s annoying when it’s a 15+ survey! They’re clearly dodgy! I also find it’s the surveys over £1 that seem to do this too 🤔

Chubarubrub · 24/05/2022 11:48

Sorry 15 minute plus survey I meant to say

Hello everyone. I haven't been on these threads in a while. I used to do potato til it changed and there was less work for those of us who tended to log on as and when (is it still like that out of interest) and Neevo but that's been quiet for a while.
I've been doing maps on what was L...B.... Does anyone do that currently? I do struggle with fitting any in but it would be so useful to get any extra money these days.
Need to find some extra energy from somewhere Smile

Glenthebattleostrich · 24/05/2022 13:33

Hello, can I please join and get some advice from you amazing people?

I'm about to change jobs, going from childminding to hopefully TA/school administrator role. I have a few interviews coming up. The pay is not dissimilar, although for less hours, and I get my house back!

Before DD I was a PA to directors so am a decent typist and Ive done Data Entry work back in the day. Any advice in which would be the best freelance site to use? I signed up to people per hour but its a bit confusing.

I'm also going to dive into the survey sites as I'll be commuting by bus for an hour per day so might as well use that time.

Ideally I'd like to earn £100 - £150 per month extra. Any advice would be massively appreciated.

ruralwanderer · 24/05/2022 13:41

@BecauseOfIndia, yes of course, I'd be happy to help :)
