Surveys – there are tons of websites, but the majority are for pennies. Do a google search for ‘paid surveys’, but beware of websites touting affiliate links. The only one I would recommend is:

@AnotherOne4 oh no that's rubbish! If it's any consolation is hasn't come up on my work this list yet so I don't think I'm on it anyway.

@superpinkgirl (might just be me) But it seems really hard lately to get onto an Appen project.

@AnotherOne4 @superpinkgirl I don't hold out much hope of everyone passing the initial quiz to start the workflow on R*V so I'm sure you'll be invited to project (I am going to be one of those people who drop out early based on my track record 🤣)

@LoLo2020 @AnotherOne4 I don't seem to be getting very much from Apen at the moment but hopefully it picks up soon. I am keeping my fingers tightly crossed for Rv.

Is it just me or are the guidelines to R**a Pro not very clear Really finding it difficult to fathom it out!

Hi not sure if I'm being stupid but when I click on the crisp link it brings me to the homepage of the site and I'm not sure what job I'm supposed to apply for ? they all say united states or Leeds. Can someone help me please. Really need to earn some pennies. thank you

@tryingmyhardest21, Crisp put you on a waiting list if you pass the test (which I have to admit, I cannot find at the moment so they may not currently be recruiting) and the average wait time is a year, so if you need to make money quicker, I'd focus on Prolific, Intellizoom, Neevo and Appen. I keep getting the "you're on and your details will arrive soon" email, then the "this project is now closed" email, THEN the "here are your log in details for the project". So I give it a go, log in, and of course am told the project finished.
They all seem to be the Ap China ones where there's a hiccup. Hey ho.

OMG. The latest news on Appen Srpr*t is that they're actually creating signup incentives for everyone to recruit their friends. They're actually saying they'll pay me an extra $10 for every person I sign up who submits work.

Nope. Not doing it. There's a reason people aren't doing it. They're starting to sound a bit desperate.

I have another question about Appen: There's two projects called New and New that I keep being invited to, that lots of people seem to be doing. Am I required to give them access to my Facebook account or something? How does it work exactly? I've still never actually done any paid work with them. Are these two projects "safe"?

Ha the Facebook surveys are a bit of a sore point at the moment! The one with the whale in its name pays fairly for how long it takes, I don't know how it works (it's basically news headlines that you see on your Facebook feed although quite often it's not actual news) and you have to say how internet you find the news it's picked for you. Dead easy and lots of people do them as a top up, I've been on them since about January and haven't had any issues but I don't understand it well enough to say for definite what access it gets.

The problem at the minute is they are being flakey about paying on time so I think some people might be calling it a day. Which is good news for you as likely to be some spaces on it! I always get paid even if it goes on a week or so later than it should but i know lots of people had problems in August.

It's definitely not a nightmare like the project you've been describing though, that's for sure!

I've had no trouble with the surveys and do then every week, last month they were the only Appen projects I worked. No trouble being paid either so I'd be happy to recommend them.

@ruralwanderer Do you have to give them access to your Facebook account?

You do the surveys via your Facebook account but I don't feel uncomfortable with it as you give them the same access for Am* and Ti* too.

Does it matter if your name on Facebook is different from your real name on Appen?

No @curdsandwhey it doesn't matter, I do the surveys and my FB is under the dog's name
