Thought I'd start a new thread for June as I couldn't see one that had been done yet. Ignore if I've cross posted!

@LoLo2020 I don't have a business so I don't know why they aren't clear about this.
I wish I could remember that part when I filled it in because if it was there for me to fill in then it is absolutely nothing to worry about.

Well I'm not happy about this lol It never feels comfortable sending your ID off. I've done it now though. I got a green tick with success, and they'll let me know as soon as my detials have been reviewed.

@AnotherOne4 I am the last person to want to send anything off believe me! There won't be any problems or anything.

Glad you submitted it though. I don't drive so that was my only option until I was told off a friend about the ID card I mentioned. I said to them that we didn't have ID cards in the UK (until I was told we did, oops) I said what if I never went abroad or drove, I was getting stressed with it lol. Anyway it will all be okay.

Hey everyone! I’ve spent ages reading the May and then the June thread. I’ve learnt a lot. Thank you for sharing so much about your experience and tribulations.

I’d love to try my hand at some transcription work. I am a sahm with a lot of spare time during the day (I know I’m very lucky!) I am also fluent in 2 foreign languages so maybe it can be useful?

I believe a lot of you are using Appen? So how does that work in terms of being paid? I saw there is another one: Rev? Is it worth applying?

I rang them when I didn't hear anything after I had sent the ID to make sure they had seen it etc and she just asked for my password and details then said yes everything is alright .

@LoLo2020 No problem, happy to help because I felt exactly the same way, apart from the business bit but like I said, it was nothing, that's probably why I can't remember lol. You'll be fine.

@AnotherOne4 Yeah once they've got your ID you'll get paid, no problems.

Welcome @Sophiederuges . Well done on reading the previous threads. We always suggest that people do that, but I'm sure half of them don't lol. You can learn alot from what other people say.
I'm not on Rev, so unfortunately can't help you out on that one. Appen I'm on, and I get paid from Appen into Payoneer (which is what we were just discussing) and then it automatically get's transferred into my paypal account.

@AnotherOne4 Yes, it was a good job that @LoLo2020 spotted it. I can't remember the details when I set it all up

I’ve gleaned some very useful information so I’m going to start tomorrow morning with some more in depth research and then give it all a try! I had a look at matched betting too but it looks very complicated from a newbie’s point of view so I think it’ll require further study!

@Sophiederuges I’ve never done matched betting. For me personally, it’s not a good idea I go playing about with money, I’d end up losing it all lol. I believe there is a separate thread on it though, if you’re interested.

Dip your toes in and have a go at a few things tomorrow. We’re a lovely bunch here, so any problems just shout. I’m sure someone will come along who can help you.

@Sophiederuges welcome to the gang! I do transcription through Way With Words, it's quite a headache getting qualified to work with them but they are such a lovely, genuine company and there seems to be plenty of work, I've certainly always got something on the go (I fit round a full time job to fund my hobbies).

A few people on here have had real success with Rev too and I'd definitely be exploring that if I had time to do anything else! I've been on Appen for about 6 months and only got the Facebook surveys, which still pay enough for a round bale of hay a month and take very little time to do. I haven't managed to get onto a bigger Appen project yet but I think that's mainly due to the small amount of time that I can commit (you have to declare how many hours you could do for a lot of them).

Transcription is really interesting and as a bonus if you pick up a more difficult or dull file you never have to think about it again once you've completed it and submitted it! The pain is very short term 😂

My passport had run out during covid but they would not accept the verification until I got it renewed. For the business questions I think I just put the Appen website and that I was working for them

Payoneer and basically I won't get my money transferred to my bank until I've provided ID (wah!) hey ho :) The lady I spoke to said the business questionnaire can wait and we don't have to submit it at this stage :)

That's rubbish :( I'm Hoping it'll be a seamless process 🤞🏻 and once I've provided ID :)
