rhij86 · 01/06/2021 11:51

Morning all,

Thought I'd start a new thread for June as I couldn't see one that had been done yet. Ignore if I've cross posted!

I'll post the links for all the sites shortly, but for now here's a link to the last thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/legal_money_matters/4252763-2nd-Part-of-Mays-Earn-10-a-day-thread

All welcome, new and old alike - let's start the summer off with a bang and get earning those pennies! Hope everyone has a good month.

Any potato peelers expecting an increase in work from this evening with the return of a certain reality tv program?

When the contestants were revealed last week I had a good/busy day (compared to usual workload) so hoping that's a good sign?

ZetaPuppis · 28/06/2021 14:26

I hope so @rhij86. But I don’t think it will be back like how it was.

rhij86 · 28/06/2021 14:27

@ZetaPuppis I think you're right, but if I can squeeze a few more £ out of it then I'll take it

Ah no, gutted. My For*er Adap project has just suddenly closed. There was plenty of work left. Sad

So I have absolutely no other work on atm. Bugger.

Redcrayons · 28/06/2021 15:00

Thanks for the heads up @rhij86
Will try and squeeze an hour in when it starts.

rhij86 · 28/06/2021 15:08

@LimeJellyforBrains oh no what a pain in the arse!

@Redcrayons no problem - do we dare dream they might even add a surge or some shifts?! Hmm

CocoPrivileges · 28/06/2021 16:28

@TheSunisShiningToday have you tried User Testing? Very similar to Intellizoom. I love both of them! Fun tasks, no commitment and no problems with payment.

I didn't realise that programme hadn't started yet. Lets hope so, surges are very rare nowadays, & usually a low rate & short lived. I got onto a shift recently but as usual there were too many people on it for the work coming in so was fetching most of time. Does anybody else answer the roll call & watch with dismay as the amount of other ticks reach a higher number than you would like? Grin

rhij86 · 28/06/2021 18:24

@snowballs1 yep same here, I only ever manage to get shifts at like 5am too 🙃

TheSunisShiningToday · 28/06/2021 20:05

@CocoPrivileges. Thanks. I’ll take a look.

AdaShelby · 28/06/2021 20:46

I think lots of content is syphoned off at potato now. No idea if love island will help. If not we know its true that we get the dregs Hmm

I hate taking a shift and sitting there while it's fetching and earning a couple of quid for the hour. I think they should let you drop it if that happens. It's a piss take.

I've applied to Rev and WWW

0htooooodles · 28/06/2021 20:52

I've pretty much give up on crisp now! I'll stick with the other stuff I have going on, consistent money and way better management!

Catawaul · 28/06/2021 21:30

I thought I would get kicked off potato last month for not meeting target, but here I am a month later, way off target again! It's sooooo slow.

LoLo2020 · 28/06/2021 22:52

@AnotherOne4

I've been working on C***t on and off all day. Really surprised I've not been kicked off yet, lol.
It's disappeared off my project list entirely, not sure why! I had that access denied / disabled messaged so never even got as far as logging into it

@TheSunisShiningToday

Hello, I hope everyone is having a good Monday.

I’ve got started on Prolific and it’s been a steady £30/40 for the last couple of months.

I’ve been accepted onto Intellizoom after finally passing the test! I’m hoping I might be able to make a similar amount as on Prolific.

Are there any other sites like Prolific/Intellizoom that I can try and by this I mean sires that are relatively straightforward to work and quick and easy to set up.

Thanks

You should get more from Intellizoom than from Prolific if you're accepted onto both types of study (I think there's two, there may be more in which case you'll be even better off!). I agree about Qmee being a pain as it takes too long to decide whether you're accepted onto a survey. But I try to do one or two a day. Lionbridge is my best guaranteed earner (assuming I can get the payment mechanism sorted out) and gives me almost £10 a day on it's own. Let's hope it's a long term project! UserTesting just seems to be such a long onboarding process. I haven't actually done any work for them yet. Appen I'm just ticking over with the N..en project and the odd one-off.
Adelais · 29/06/2021 07:51

I was accepted for ct on Appen but is it the same platform used for uhrs on clickworker which I already do? I’m not sure if I can even log in to it yet.

Me too tbh. Even Matt Hancock didn't generate as much work as something like that would have about a year ago. I've been accepted onto Intellizoom again, and still getting about 10 emails a day from Ap* China but not going there, no way José. Prolific will have generated as much £ as Potato this month (again) Humph.
MarigoldMoonStone · 29/06/2021 10:20

Sorry if this has already been asked, but, anyone doing Rev? Am I missing where the guidelines are? For example, how do we know whether we are meant to type numbers as a word or digit? do we put dot com or .com? I am just about to do the test but feel like I'm going in blind...

flloyd · 29/06/2021 11:02

@3dogsnorth

Just accepted onto R** and you'd been really helpful before so thanks. With initial short transcription, approx how long are they, roughly how long do they take to transcribe. Are you given a degree of difficulty, is there a time limit, can you reject them if you just can't do it. And finally, what kind of rate per transcription can you expect. I'm not sure how much time I can devote to it daily, I guess about an hour or 2 at most! Thanks in advance!
@3dogsnorth - how are you getting on with Rev? I am nervously working my way through the paid training tasks but I have made loads of little mistakes...:( Really worried that I am not getting consistent info/feedback. How is it going for you?
Novelusername · 29/06/2021 11:59

Hi, I hope you don't mind if I ask about invoices on Ap? I've done some work for them this month for the first time, with auto-generated invoices, although only one of these has come up so far. I know we have to submit these the 1st. If the auto-generated ones don't come up in time for the submission deadline, what do I do, please? Thanks!

TheLolaMontez · 29/06/2021 12:21

Just applied to Rev, potato is just abysmal and I need something else as my year long Ap will come to an end soon. I quite enjoyed the initial test thingy and didn't feel too stressed out doing it so fingers crossed I've actually done it correctly! I've managed. my minimum on potato this month and done a bit of sporadic prolific. Feels like a grind at the moment.

Rgy3250999 · 29/06/2021 12:27

@flloyd Do you mind me asking how long it took to get through the ID verification process? I submitted this on Sunday but haven’t heard anything yet. I’m itching to get going as I read lots of the info on Sunday and don’t want to forget it. Like you, I’m also hoping I don’t make too many mistakes as it sounds like something I could enjoy doing and regular pay is a real bonus 😊

Hi @Rgy3250999 - the ID verification just took a couple of days for me. Then you have to do a couple of tutorials, on to the training tasks and then start picking up work. :) My ID was done on Saturday and I was able to access work (including the training tasks) from yesterday. :) Hope that helps!

Frenchdoors1 · 29/06/2021 13:21

@Novelusername You have until the 3rd/4th of the month to submit your invoice when it's been approved so you could submit it (providing there's $5 or more in) or you could hang on and see if they add the others on.

Frenchdoors1 · 29/06/2021 13:23

@Novelusername Forgot to also add that if they haven't been added on for next month's invoice then you can obviously submit them the month after.
