Thought I'd start a new thread for June as I couldn't see one that had been done yet. Ignore if I've cross posted!

@AdaShelby Totally agree! I've had them lie on several occasions, and it's just shit. I wish i could say how i really feel...

I've never seen anything on the main chat about criteria and/or the application process.

As other posters have said, they seem to have taken people on for bespoke recently with no mention on chat.

It just seems massively unfair. If I am doing something wrong I would like to know.

I will persevere with potato for now in the hope that it somehow improves but it's really beyond a joke

@lynsey91I think a lot of us are reaching breaking point with it.

I keep doing it, but only because until this month it's the only additional income I've had.

Me too, they really don’t value their RAs.

I'm doing potato when doing other stuff but I never go on just to do it. I messaged a few months back and asked about shifts and got the same story. I see loads more people who have a second language suddenly appearing. I wonder if that's who they are inviting? My second language is swearing like a sailor! Not much use.

I'm doing loads more bits of things to try and recover the income but it's £20 here and there, which is tricky to keep track of.

@seizethecuttlefish the only time I'll do potato and nothing else now is if I was just going to be watching tv and mindlessly scrolling anyway...

6 hours done on SD, now onto riv for the evening (or as long as the work lasts) 🥴

I can’t do potato if I’m not 100% concentrating on it, probably why it feels like such an effort.

Applied for everything on Appen, did the Rev test, think I’m going to have to have a serious stab at LB.

Does anyone here have any recent experience of how long it takes to hear back from Rev after taking the test?

@Paddybare I started last month and it was 5 days.

@Paddybare I took the test last Thursday and haven’t heard anything yet. I’m hoping I’ll hear back soon as I thought I had done ok and like the sound of more regular work. These surveys are becoming a bit tedious now. Have you applied yet?

@bookgirl1982 Did you get approved first time and if so, how long did it take to start working with them?

I applied to Rev last week and got an email saying I’d been accepted 2 days later. I then was asked to upload a copy of my ID which I did and then I got an email saying it was being reviewed but not heard any more 4 days later. Hopefully will be able to start soon.

@Paddybare I started last month. It was about 3 days to say I'd passed. I had to chase them after I sent my id, as it took a week. It's not going to make me a millionaire but I enjoy it. Some really interesting stuff and I've definitely got pickier.

Appen China, I finally got invited but I'm sure someone said the rate sucked. Anyone on it?

@seizethecuttlefish I think I may have just got the same email/invite as you. Not sure what to do with it though.

I also have an Appen China email invite. What is it? Does anyone know? I registered and then got asked to take tests/assessments and decided it's too late and I'm tired. Will look again tomorrow with fresh eyes.

Thanks @lilmishap for the info. It seems that I've applied for one of the easier jobs on LB. So far just a short multiple choice quiz. Don't seem to have completed the process though and nothing obvious to take it further so I'll hang tight for a day or two and see if anything happens.
Just had my Appen Har....th work approved. 85% pay which wasn't too bad considering it was the first time I've done anything like this and I wondered whether I'd fulfilled the requirements at all!

I'm trying to slave my way through H*rpeth but really not sure it's worth it. I'm on prompt 70. Just really worried of my work being rejected as I've had similar, much shorter jobs rejected on Clickworker.
