Lots of junk on am** this month - only five items with little scope for returns.

Two Chinese clothing items, two weird gadgets and a box of anime stuff.

Buster27 · 06/04/2021 10:27

I also have a similar spreadsheet and folder set up Grin definitely makes it easier, for me anyway.

An ok round for me. Only 5 items and one was a skip, so a hair styling tool, hoodie, jumper and a cushion. No items I want to keep (only one I might have kept was the jumper but it wasn't available in my size), should be £85-£130 of returns though - one I'm not sure if I can return so will see how I get on!

seizethecuttlefish · 06/04/2021 10:28

Am so far...one skip as it's a subscription, one dodgy site but not checking out so skipped and the 3rd one is not letting me use PayPal and just crashing out. I really don't want to put my card details in as it's trustpilot reviews are incredibly dodgy and either PayPal is down or it's the site. Not a good month so far. I need to go and try and buy something legit on PayPal to make sure it's working but I suspect it's the sites.

@seizethecuttlefish I've been using PayPal this morning fine so unless it's an issue with your account specifically it's working.

@YonderTweek the new project/name change is just the shop section of the project, guessing it's easier for them to have the two types as separate projects for some reason!

Tinging · 06/04/2021 10:42

Well my Am*r was garbage this month, two skips because of an error message in the tool, one skip due to scammy website, one skip for a divan bed over the threshold. Out of six ads I could only buy two, some hideous men’s ripped jeans and a space themed hoody.

minnimiss · 06/04/2021 11:00

Worst month yes for Am**! I was able to purchase 4 items.
1 bikini from China which will probably not fit over one thigh
One high value photography item which I can possibly return.
Door wreath which I will gift
Kitchen gadget/grater

At least it wasn't time consuming!

Catatemyhomework · 06/04/2021 11:32

Not sure how long to leave waiting for a reply from seller instant messenger. Product is from a FB shop but not obvious how to purchase or if they deliver. It's balloons!

Catatemyhomework · 06/04/2021 12:22

Do you have to purchase the size you land on as that was out of stock but other sizes are in stock?

bookgirl1982 · 06/04/2021 12:30

@Catatemyhomework I think it is 24hrs for a response

bookgirl1982 · 06/04/2021 12:31

@Catatemyhomework you can change size and colour

Catatemyhomework · 06/04/2021 12:43

@bookgirl1982, thank you. You're a star!

MarigoldMoonStone · 06/04/2021 12:46

wasn't too bad in the end

  • pair of women's cheap running shoes
  • pair of kids knock off trainers (worked out how to buy them in the end!)
  • bag of wildflower seeds :)
  • flower garland (think we all nearly sold her out! probably her busiest day of business)
  • moving sand picture
  • calvin klein denim jacket I will be able to return

denim jacket and wildflower seeds made it all worth while :)

Catatemyhomework · 06/04/2021 13:15

First timer on Am*r for me today. I think it went ok. My sites were all UK and I can send most of it back I think. I skipped one as it wasn't obvious how to purchase it. I have coming:

A children's coat
An over-sized hoodie/dress
A baby's Christening type dress
A skin tight spandex silver dress that wouldn't fit a pencil.

I will return all of it but have to pay packaging. Although I should get back £160 so very pleased with that.
It has taken me all morning to do though as I have been very nervous!

MarigoldMoonStone · 06/04/2021 13:23

@Catatemyhomework - that's great you got all UK sites, always great when you can return it even if you do have to pay the postage you are still up!
I have a collection of crap I can't return gathering dust on the top of my wardrobe, will need to take it down the charity shop when I can - someone will appreciate it I'm sure Hmm

didireallyjustsaythat · 06/04/2021 13:28

Can you skip an AD if they don't list shipping costs?

Catatemyhomework · 06/04/2021 13:31

@MarigoldMoonStone, yes I can imagine it must be really easy to accummulate crap with this project. I think I had a lucky first run with only UK sites. I still wasn't keen on the products though and would never have paid that money for them myself. I kind of feel guilty though as I think a couple of the shops are mother's own businesses and I will feel bad returning items and not sure what to say for my reasons as I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

whysotriggered · 06/04/2021 13:32

Sadly only 5 this time, two were skips due to technical issues. Two UK websites and one that originally thought was UK but turned out to be American. Nothing too exciting. But plus side is completed very quickly. Hopefully, next time will be more interesting!

bookgirl1982 · 06/04/2021 13:39

@didireallyjustsaythat I wouldn't think so, what happens when you go to checkout?

didireallyjustsaythat · 06/04/2021 14:05

@bookgirl1982 thanks. I've managed to sort it all now. It's my first time and I think I just panicked Smile

ruralwanderer · 06/04/2021 14:21

Just under £60 on Am** purchases this month. Two skips (gutting as the one shop sold wellies and I need a new pair, but they don't do online sales and the other was Easter eggs which unsurprisingly were no longer in stock). One thing I'm pleased with (£30 worth of wildflower seeds), a hideous dress that will go in the charity pile for when they reopen and a £7 tube of foundation from Amazon that I'll return because I can do that for free and I don't wear foundation...not the best round but I'm chuffed about the seeds and it didn't take too long!

MarigoldMoonStone · 06/04/2021 14:35

I was pleased with the wildflower seeds too :)
Mine were only £7.99 tho ? for a thousand I think it said!

MarigoldMoonStone · 06/04/2021 14:37

@Catatemyhomework - I know what you mean, I felt bad the other month returning a coat to what seems like a small business but I just said it didn't fit right and they said it was absolutely fine. Depends what it is I suppose...

ruralwanderer · 06/04/2021 14:55

I had 3 options and went for the middle one as the area I want to plant is pretty big 😊 figured it wouldn't matter which option I chose as they were on the same page and the ad didn't specify a quantity.

unicornpoopoop · 06/04/2021 15:10

I know it's been mentioned before but I'm on the app and search is useless on here.

Can anyone give me a quick run down of clickworkers? I've just signed up but there doesn't look like there's much on here

seizethecuttlefish · 06/04/2021 16:05

@unicornpoopoop make sure your profile info is ok and just keep an eye on it. It's really quiet at the moment. Are you signed up for Defined Crowd? They've been a bit busier.

Am was a bust this month. Only 5 things. 2 that wouldn't process a payment, 2 subscriptions and a non return tshirt. Swings and roundabouts, done well from it before.
