Earn £10/Day Marching into March

seizethecuttlefish · 01/03/2021 12:39

Welcome to the March thread everyone.

The idea of the thread is to earn a bit of extra cash. There are a few ways to do this. I'm sure some of our regulars can add to this. But here's some ideas.

www.connect.appen.com this is a site where you can sign up for micro projects and some longer term projects.
www. crispthinking.com social media moderation
www.lionbridge.com projects
www.utest.com user testing
www.prolific.co surveys
www.intellizom.com short one off tasks
www.clickworker.com short one off tasks

I'm sure I've forgotten loads. If you want to look over previous months, there are loads of pervious threads in this section.

@TheHumanFund yes that's what I did for a takeaway which had no information but was 200miles away.

TheHumanFund · 03/03/2021 14:41

@bookgirl1982 thanks, I'll do that Smile

Fiddie · 03/03/2021 14:42

I got the make up setting spray too but it took me to a page where I could access the main site on so I bought a gorgeous lipstick.

That was my best item this month but I'm happy with it.

MarigoldMoonStone · 03/03/2021 14:44

@TheHumanFund I did that yesterday I just wrote that it was a food delivery in Manchester which is about 4 hours away from me. What else can you do?

MarigoldMoonStone · 03/03/2021 14:47

@notgreenfingers and @willithappen
Just read the descriptions of the projects and apply for everything you like the sound of, and qualify for - you won’t get accepted onto all of them and they take a long time to accept you sometimes so best going all in and seeing what you get. I currently have 16 projects I’ve applied for and currently working 3/4

willithappen · 03/03/2021 14:47

@MarigoldMoonStone I've gone through one application on Appen but now I have done that no others are showing up to apply for. Is this normal?

AnotherOne4 · 03/03/2021 14:48

@willithappen

Been watching this thread from afar and nervous to get involved but taking the plunge now and going for it! Got one survey on prolific already :) Just signing up for Appen now and trying to suss it out

Any beginner tips?

My tip would be - master a few websites, before you move onto others.

There are some real pro's on here (who are great, and there's always someone willing to help you out Smile) but I've been doing this a few months, and I'm nowhere near as good as this lot yet.

Prolific is a great one to start with, but jobs are scarce. I'm liking Qmee at the minute, but it's not a high earner.
I like Neevo too, but again, not much happening over there.
Oh and if you are on Appen and have a facebook account, sign upto those jobs.

rhij86 · 03/03/2021 15:15

@willithappen that happened to me when I signed up (September 2019), once they process your main application and accept you on as a worker you should be able to view all the other projects again (even if they don't accept you on to the first one straight away/at all)

Tinging · 03/03/2021 15:47

Am*r complete, very mixed bag this time:
Dog grooming tool (don’t have a dog)
Niceish sweatshirt
Cheap smart watch
A horrid t-shirt covered in personalised faces
Galaxy light projector
Kids wooden toy
Kids sensory ball therapy chair (expensive and will be a pain to return)

TheHumanFund · 03/03/2021 15:59

My purchases are not great either.
I too got the kids chair but don't have kids.
Also some sort of drawing tablet for my phone.
A lamp that looks like a pole.
A cheap looking sweatshirt.
Dog food and the pet brush but I no longer have a dog so will be donating it to a rescue centre.
A water bottle.

willithappen · 03/03/2021 16:04

Thanks @rhij86 ! I thought it might be that but worried that I had done something wrong
Got a prolific survey for £3.75 so was happy with that. Just gotta catch some more.
Gonna try look into some of the others. Does Appen seem to be the best one for everyone here?

rhij86 · 03/03/2021 16:11

@willithappen it's certainly where I've earned most of my money. It can take a long while to get onto a well paid project, but once on them they can last months (equally they can be over pretty quickly, it's hit and miss)

Crisp is a steady earner if you can get onto it (low earning rate but you can pretty much guarantee content at any time of day)

user testing is another good earner for some people, but not something that I ever got into

willithappen · 03/03/2021 16:16

@rhij86 amazing thanks! Will check out crisp too
If I could make an extra £10 a day it would make such a huge difference!

rhij86 · 03/03/2021 16:18

@willithappen oh absolutely! good luck :)

Dancingdolphins · 03/03/2021 16:44

Not done my am* purchases yet but I'm not holding out much hope for a good un reading these Grin

MrsWombat · 03/03/2021 18:16

Marking my place. Made around £230 last month between Crisp and uTest.

YonderTweek · 03/03/2021 18:25

I got the setting spray thing too, it took me to a catalogue though, so I'm assuming I could just get what I want? I know the email said that we have to buy the product that is in the ad, but it also said to refer to the guidelines if the ad leads to a catalogue. And the guidelines say that you can browse and choose what you like. I've seen something a bit pricey and I want to buy it for the return. Grin

Dancingdolphins · 03/03/2021 19:07

@YonderTweek yeah if it just takes you to the homepage you can browse and buy what you like.

Fiddie · 03/03/2021 19:36

@YonderTweek that's exactly what I did. I chose what I wanted Grin

Fiddie · 03/03/2021 19:37

(A lipstick I've been wanting for ages)

GailLondon · 03/03/2021 19:44

About to start Am*r purchases. First one a hideous bejewelled phone case. I really want a weight lifting bench so I would love to get that ad !

MoreMoneyPlease · 03/03/2021 19:56

Still no Am* for me, maybe they know I'm a bit nervous about doing it??!

Feb was okay, I went straight onto another hour a day project with Appen after a year on my old one which was a big relief. Had a few tasks with Intellizoom and Prolific so probably £400 in total for Feb.

fiddie · 03/03/2021 20:01

@GailLondon do a live Am._ for us, item by item Grin

Dancingdolphins · 03/03/2021 20:27

Am* I got -

Crappy engraved wallet card
Cheap chinese bikini that will probably fit my 3yo
Green and blacks chocolate hamper
Expensive sports top that I can return
Two bloody light projectors
Best of all a dolls house for my daughter that was £100- I have wanted to buy her one for ages and not been able to justify the cost of the nice wooden ones

So up for grabs in the swap shop are a light projector and a potentially tiny bikini!

YonderTweek · 03/03/2021 20:30

Thanks guys. I tried to purchase the most expensive items but they were out of stock. It seems some other raters had the same idea. Haha. Onto the next one! Let's see what it is...
