Welcome to the March thread everyone.

The idea of the thread is to earn a bit of extra cash. There are a few ways to do this. I'm sure some of our regulars can add to this. But here's some ideas.

www.connect.appen.com this is a site where you can sign up for micro projects and some longer term projects.
www. crispthinking.com social media moderation
www.lionbridge.com projects
www.utest.com user testing
www.prolific.co surveys
www.intellizom.com short one off tasks
www.clickworker.com short one off tasks

I'm sure I've forgotten loads. If you want to look over previous months, there are loads of pervious threads in this section.

@Rose2101 - Welcome to the thread! I started off with Neevo, and really liked it. The work seems to have dried up a bit though. I found the image tagging jobs too difficult. I failed the test too Blush I enjoy the listening tasks on there, not had any for awhile though.

The best thing about this thread is, post your success and fail stories! There is always someone lurking in the background who can learn from it (I was a lurker for ages until I started posting)

Rose2101 · 20/03/2021 18:18

Hi

@AnotherOne4 Thanks for that information. I haven't got any listening tasks on Neevo yet but will look out for them. Should I get more Neevo jobs even though I failed the practise tests on the image tagging ones? I'm hoping to sign up with Appen? Are Appen jobs similar to Neevo?

Thanks for the help 🙂

seizethecuttlefish · 20/03/2021 18:33

@AnotherOne4 I'm not a UserTesting expert but I'll keep my fingers crossed. Have you looked at Lionbridge? They have longer term projects from time to time. Have you applied for Crisp? It took me a few months to earn anything much. It's so frustrating. A few people have worked with Cloudworkers. Not sure if that's still a reasonable earner, if that is something you would do?

Following on from the last post. What's your main earner and/or your favourite? Let's help get some ideas flowing.

I work between Appen and Crisp. I did do some matched betting but I let it slip and haven't got back into it. I really like Intellizoom. They're nice and easy and I enjoy them.

@Rose2101 - Yes, I believe you will still get offered jobs on Neevo even though you failed the previous test. It's not uncommon for it to be weeks between jobs though Sad
I've not been offered any long term projects on Appen yet, although I have applied for a few. If you have facebook, I highly recommend signing up for those jobs (on Appen). They are easy money.
@seizethecuttlefish - I looked at Lionsbridge ages ago. I didn't like it though, although I can't remember why Confused
I have signed up to Crisp and passed the test a few months ago. Just waiting to hear back.
My favourites are the ones that you don't get much work from Sad Prolific and Neevo. I am on Clickworker and was getting on alright with that, the money is just started to trickle down from that now. But again, there isn't much on there lately.
Qmee is a good one I like to have on in the background, a few pennies here and there are adding up to £42.08 so far.
I'm hoping Intellizoom and UserTesting will get going....

Ohh and thanks for your help, you guys are the best Grin

feckinarse · 20/03/2021 20:02

can I ask a question about appen? I am very new to this.

I applied to one project and now when I log in, it just shows me the end of that project application page. I can't seem to browse other projects. Is that normal? Thanks!

Starofmine1 · 20/03/2021 20:32

Hello, I have been reading posts on here for a few months and been steadily earning. Recently signed up for Intellizoom but found out I failed the initial test. I read a few pages back on here that others had failed it and were given a second chance. Please could you tell me how did you get to have another go at it? Did you have to email them? I have been told I failed but no offer of a second chance. I'm gutted as I rushed it before picking my daughter up from school so think I made some silly mistakes

Zancah · 20/03/2021 20:42

I failed mine but it was there on my "studies" section when I logged back in.
If yours isn't there, try emailing them. Ive never had reason to so I'm not sure on the process.

AnotherOne4 · 20/03/2021 21:20

@Starofmine1 - I failed the Intellizoom test first time, but passed second time. In the email they sent to say I'd failed, they said to contact them if I wanted a second try. I couldn't find their contact info anywhere! I just ended up replying to the email they sent.

Welcome to the thread!

Starofmine1 · 20/03/2021 21:49

@Zancah @AnotherOne4 that's really helpful. Thank you. There is no second survey in my studies section so I will try contacting them.

AnotherOne4 · 20/03/2021 22:08

@Starofmine1 - glad I could be of assistance Smile Intellizoom were really quick in responding to me, all happened within a few days. So hopefully they'll get back to you quickly too. Let us know how you get on.

DeegeeDee · 21/03/2021 10:49

My favourites are Intellizoom and Prolific as the surveys are usually enjoyable and interesting. Long term nothing but been with Bane since the beginning (please come back every month). Failed Atlas first big surge and ever since all I've had are the new guidelines which never come to anything.

Am on Cloud worker but had a fail on one of the UHRS sites and was kicked off. Never sure if it's just for that project or all of them and not inclined to check. So wait for the bigger projects.

Matched betting either gubbed or no inclination (didn't even do Cheltenham the horror) so do the daily freebies which bring in £20-30 pm.

Still waiting for Crisp a year on and nothing on Lionbridge for me. Need my mojo back.

AnotherOne4 · 21/03/2021 11:09

@DeegeeDee - how often do you get work on Intellizoom? SInce I passed the test, I've had nothing.

Zancah · 21/03/2021 11:19

I'm only using Prolific, Intellizoom & Qmee at the moment. Just dabbling really. P & I are my favourites, like pp have said - their tasks are usually fun. Q is good but has the ability to make me blow a fuse with how ridiculously long some of the surveys are for the grand total of 20p, and don't even get me started on how many decline you when you've spent over 10 minutes filling them in! But it's a steady earner for stuff you can do while you're waiting for other stuff.

I've lost my mojo too but I've had the kids home all week due to isolating so I've barely opened my laptop. They're back tomorrow so I'm hoping to be able to get on with it.
Here's to a better week for everyone Wine

DeegeeDee · 21/03/2021 11:42

AnotherOne, peaks and troughs for me. I log out regularly and recently found the assistant in the Help Centre that someone suggested (thanks) useful but otherwise have it opened always..

Zancah, I need that glass, thanks Smile Think the combination of school and work has dulled my mind so hope the Easter break will freshen me up and will even go back to UTest.

lilmishap · 22/03/2021 08:56

I've woken up to an inbox full of Congrats for passing Pollock tests and start work now in En and Aus...I wasn't aware I'd applied and I haven't taken any tests.

Anyone else?

badlydrawncat · 22/03/2021 09:21

I actually did pass the po###ck tests and received emails to tell me to start work but have been unable to do so because my login doesn't work for the site the work is on. I've emailed them but not had a reply. Along with N**e, which also does not work, this is my first proper project other than the FB surveys (which are fine) and it's all a bit disheartening.

mommathatwearspink · 22/03/2021 12:39

Thought I would come and say hello and browsing for a while.
I’ve signed up to Prolific, Qmee, Intellizoom and UTest so far.
Prolific is my favourite so far but slow with studies coming through. Qmee is ok but it infuriates me when I spend time completing questions to be told 5 minutes later I have been declined.
I’ve still not really got started with Intellizoom and currently going through the academy at UTest. Thinking of trying Appen maybe.
Nobody seems to talk about it on here so feel free to PM me instead of reply on here but what are the tax implications?

Catatemyhomework · 22/03/2021 12:39

@lilmishap, I had that too, except I never took the tests because I got an email saying I'd failed and the project disappeared. I assume it was time dependent to do the test but I didn't know this. Hmm

TheLolaMontez · 22/03/2021 13:38

Anyone else on N!Le on app having trouble submitting their batches? Happened to me the last couple of times, looks like it is a big problem according to the amount of people on chat saying the same thing. Hope we still get paid for them. I've screenshotted anyway, but because you can't submit the batch you don't get a 🧁off - I don't know if this means you don't get paid for the batch or not?

Buster27 · 22/03/2021 15:37

@TheLolaMontez yup, happened to me on Friday, I didn't take screenshots but hoping it will get paid anyway since it seems to be an error for lots of people. I just added a note to my invoice and will see what happens! I didn't do it over the weekend, was hoping it would be fixed by now.

Buster27 · 22/03/2021 15:38

Guess I'll take screenshots now until it's fixed.. a shame as it means I'll have to spend the proper time on it Grin

makinganavalon · 22/03/2021 19:50

Hi all, sorry if this has been mentioned before but for the last few days I've only seen one survey on prolific- a screen capture? Usually get a few different ones come up but it's only this one from the same company all the time.... Has anyone else had the same problem?

rhij86 · 23/03/2021 08:33

Anyone done the H*wae test on Appen? how many questions are there?

rhij86 · 23/03/2021 08:47

Just finished it, 50 questions Shock didn't take too long though (probably ballsed it right up)
