Welcome to the March thread everyone.

The idea of the thread is to earn a bit of extra cash. There are a few ways to do this. I'm sure some of our regulars can add to this. But here's some ideas.

www.connect.appen.com this is a site where you can sign up for micro projects and some longer term projects.
www. crispthinking.com social media moderation
www.lionbridge.com projects
www.utest.com user testing
www.prolific.co surveys
www.intellizom.com short one off tasks
www.clickworker.com short one off tasks

I'm sure I've forgotten loads. If you want to look over previous months, there are loads of pervious threads in this section.

@anxiouswaiting My payments have been fine but I saw on the chat that they're focusing on Oct/Nov issues atm so you may be waiting a bit longer unfortunately Sad Hope it's resolved soon though, not fair being left out of pocket.

Rad2016 · 09/03/2021 23:45

@anxiouswaiting I am still waiting for my December bonus which is over $300. I think we'll be waiting for a while

tinyradish · 10/03/2021 08:25

I'm about £40 down for Feb's Am** reimbursements so I'll raise a ticket but wont expect anything for a few months then I guess judging by other's experiences... Hmm

Winterjoy · 10/03/2021 08:55

I read somewhere else that with Prolific the more surveys you complete, the less you get offered. Maybe some kind of algorithm. I don't know if it's true, but anecdotally I have noticed that if I haven't signed in for a few weeks, I seem to have an abundance of surveys coming up when I finally do. So there might be something in it.

anxiouswaiting · 10/03/2021 09:29

@Buster27 @Rad2016 @tinyradish the support for this project is terrible!

My purchases have been pretty rubbish lately too, makes me wonder whether it is worth carrying on when there is potential to be out of pocket for utter tat.

motherofawhirlwind · 10/03/2021 09:30

I've been accepted onto an Appen project at last and setting up my Payoneer account - is it any better to use PayPal or a bank transfer, can anyone tell me please?

rhij86 · 10/03/2021 10:07

@motherofawhirlwind I believe the transfer to paypal is quicker, but it's a while since I set mine up so could be wrong!

rhij86 · 10/03/2021 10:28

Any ideas how long B*ne might go on for? I'm surprised it's lasted this long to be honest, every time I did it before (1 year or more ago) it usually only lasted a couple of hours, 24-48 if we were really lucky!

motherofawhirlwind · 10/03/2021 10:33

@rhij86 thanks. The PayPal thing isn't working right now Hmm so will try again later

Rad2016 · 10/03/2021 10:51

@rhij86 same here. I think the fact that its been off for for a while, maybe its a little bonus. I doubt it'll be like this next month. Every time I get a chance I just do some more

rhij86 · 10/03/2021 10:53

@Rad2016 same here! 20mins or so here and there soon adds up

ChubRubTub · 10/03/2021 11:37

The admin in chat said she thought most markets for B**e would last until Saturday!

Catatemyhomework · 10/03/2021 12:03

I think B@ne GB will end tonight PST according to chat in Appen. I managed 7 hours yesterday and hoping to do the same today although not sure I'll manage today, only 3 so far.

rhij86 · 10/03/2021 12:18

@Catatemyhomework wow good going! I only managed 3hrs yesterday around work and kiddos, my brain couldn't handle any more Grin if we think it might end tonight though I'll make more of a push today!

rhij86 · 10/03/2021 12:19

@ChubRubTub that would be good if it did!

Rad2016 · 10/03/2021 12:23

Wow I'll try and do a bit more if its ending tonight.

Catatemyhomework · 10/03/2021 12:36

@rhij86 and @Rad2016, it's just the PM's estimate on chat yesterday. I think she based it on the speed at which the batch is going down. I thought I'd try for a few more hours as it's all I have going on at the moment but I'd rather do an hour a day for 3 weeks!

pinkypink24 · 10/03/2021 12:40

Wow this looks like something I could be interested in but I don't know where to start looking with all the links.

I have all evenings free, laptop, internet etc ... can any of you please give brief description of what you do & what the good earners are please?

Thanks x

Rad2016 · 10/03/2021 12:41

@Catatemyhomework absolutely right. More than an hr on this thing will kill me. I can't do more than that in a go. 20 mins here and there. It's hard to sit that long and clicking

Catatemyhomework · 10/03/2021 12:52

I know @Rad1016, there are people on the chat who stay up all night. I don't know how they do it. My max is an hour and then need 30 mins break. It's always longer than you think too due to timing out and getting side tracked!

Rad2016 · 10/03/2021 13:02

@Catatemyhomework I know. I see that too. No way I am staying up late for this. I can never sit more than an hr...it'll be too much for me

rhij86 · 10/03/2021 13:11

@Catatemyhomework @Rad2016 I wish I had the stamina to stay up all night and do it but by 10.30pm it's lights out for me Grin

Rad2016 · 10/03/2021 13:15

Yea, with a 4 yr old, and a 15 months old, I don't have much energy left to do anything else. Lil one having a nap now so I am on it but already tired of looking at screen so having a cuppa :)

rhij86 · 10/03/2021 13:17

@Rad2016 enjoy the peace! 2yrs and 8 months here. Back off of maternity leave now though and wfh full time, mum is my childcare as otherwise I can't concentrate. I try and squeeze some of this stuff in during lulls in work, otherwise it's got to be done post-bed time which can be exhausing in itself some days!

Rad2016 · 10/03/2021 13:23

@rhij86 oh bless you. Same here, back at work next month. I took a yr maternity then covid I had to shield. If all things being well I should be back next month. Not sure I could do this at work as I work in healthcare and it's chop chop till the end of the day..12 hrs shift, which I am so not looking forward to
