Welcome to the March thread everyone.

The idea of the thread is to earn a bit of extra cash. There are a few ways to do this. I'm sure some of our regulars can add to this. But here's some ideas.

I keep getting emails inviting me to pollock. Could anybody give me some information on what this ones like?

Didn't get onto Bne last night, email came through just as I was finishing a few hours on potato.
Just getting the kids ready to go to my mums (childcare/support bubble) then hoping to squeeze an hour of Bne in before work if there's any left!

It’s transcribing and you have to add time stamps. Time stamps seem really confusing at first but actually quite simple although saying that I did get kicked off the UK one for only have 83% quality and needs to be 85%. Am now doing the AUS one, hoping I do good enough to stay on it as it’s a good earner. I like it because the batches are longer so encourages you to do more. Don’t know if you did Fo***ter but that one is very bitty, just a few utterances each batch where as P is 25+
Any specific questions let me know but I would say definitely worth a go
Of course batches run out sometimes and you need to wait for them to upload but seems pretty consistent so far

Anyone care to give me an idea what kind of task B*ne is (or PM me) - I've somehow had this added to my qualification page without ever seeing the listing or applying

I'm sure it's an error but it would be interesting to know what I'm getting into incase it does progress!

Thanks @MarigoldMoonStone It does sound like a good project if the pay works out ok for the effort. Trying to decide whether to take the plunge into a new project now that 2 of the 3 DC are going back to school!

@blowonitthen I would honestly say go for it! At first you might think but it has such high earning potential. I haven’t recorded how long I’ve worked = pay, but I feel happy with what I earn on it. Always forget to do a timer, need to do that!

can anyone remind me, are we paid per task or per hour on b*ne? I see an hourly rate but am sure I've seen somewhere that it's per item! Last time I did it was about a year ago which may explain my confusion

I only did 10 minutes of b* last night as I couldn't be bothered, but I liked the addition of the thumbnails!

Agree with @MarigoldMoonStone that poll* has good earning potential if transcription works for you, and so far there's been plenty of work.

I just got my test batch feedback on Pllck and I got 84.4%. I'm guessing I'm out but I guess I could always do the AU one. I knew I was a bit confused with the timestamping, so I'm not surprised. Haha, whoever rated my batch put smiley faces in the comments which made me smile.

Luckily K%%x has started again so I'll be spending all day on it...

@YonderTweek I think they will let you carry on with that score, and just see how you get on with it. They will email you if your off the project x

Ooh, that would be good. I was quite put off by the project when I first looked at it, but it doesn't seem too bad now. I can always do the Australian one if I get booted out, but would prefer the UK one.

Anyone else had a busy day on Prolific today? I've never seen it so busy.
I think I've done half a dozen survey's (for pennies) and probably missed out on a good half a dozen too.

no I have had a really poor few days with Prolific - just the one today. And I notice my app is only refreshing every couple of minutes so I think I am not being told about lots of studies.

I've only had one prolific today for £3.75 with a £4 bonus. I've not checked on it much. Been busy doing B*ne

I've had a bad year with Prolific. I'm just not quick enough. Although I have noticed that it is mostly low paying stuff these days. However, I was really pleased when I got a £5 one last night. That never happens! But naturally I have made nothing today...

@YonderTweek my advice - do as much as you can while you can (before it runs out or you’re kicked off) I didn’t like it at first but I like it now. So annoying when get feedback for silly little things which affect score, but only myself to blame. Hoping I do enough to stay on aus one. The batches I’ve been doing have been super dramatic so far haha quite interesting

Is there an app for Prolific now? I’m just using the webpage that auto freshes. It’s been rather quiet lately though

I never got any of the high paying Prolific surveys. I get notified of them, but when I click on it, it always says one place remaining, then doesn't let me go any further. Which is annoying

Oh and yes there is a notiifier app. If you go to:
Help Centre and search Prolific Assistant, it will take you to the relevant page.

I'm late to the party this month so still need to read the thread, but wondered is anyone else still waiting for their money back for re submissions from Am** ? I had to resubmit 2 of the December ones in January and it didn't get added on my invoice and now it is still not there on my March invoice, almost £90 I am out of pocket and my support tickets are going unanswered
