Welcome to the March thread everyone.

The idea of the thread is to earn a bit of extra cash. There are a few ways to do this. I'm sure some of our regulars can add to this. But here's some ideas.

I'm sure I've forgotten loads. If you want to look over previous months, there are loads of pervious threads in this section.

Usually they don’t do both at the same time.
The shifts And surges are dependent on the amount of content, so they vary day to day.

Can I ask which site you are referring to with Potato? Obvs can't google that one too successfully

Forgive the basic question - appen newbie....

Had the email to say I had been invited to project Newa*kum. Project shows up under My Projects.

But when I click on ‘work this’ there is a project description but no actual work to do! What am I missing?

Checked emails and there is a general one about project acceptance but nothing explaining what I should do...

Crisp normally put shifts on an hour or so before they are needed so you might get a last minute one for the time you need. They do sometimes call surge when there are shifts running. They only cancel shifts if there is zero demand for one. I've been liking the mixture of surges and shifts they've been doing at the moment.

@mrswombat yes I've been liking the mix too, I seem to have been quite lucky with my timings on working the last few days.

Is anyone on Cheye*ne on Appen? I've completed my recordings but the project has disappeared for me, and my work's not on my invoice yet. Is the project still visible for others?

On Ap, my applied projects when I go to options and learning center it just takes me back to my projects page - any one else? or know how to fix this?
have tried on an incognito tab

@starsailing888 I've just checked and Chey has disappeared for me too. I did my recordings on the 28th (not been added to invoice yet).

Any new potato peelers? I've been on it since late December, doing a bit every day. Speeding up and becoming more confident. But can't help thinking I must be making mistakes? No feedback whatsoever, invoices paid in full. Anyone else the same? I'm sure I must be making errors and await the dreaded email kicking me out!!!

No news is good news. If you don’t hear from them, you’re doing it right. You’ll hear from them if you fuck up.

Do you now have to submit a photo ID to join Prolific?

Prolific states this:

In order to finish verifying your account, you'll need to complete an identity verification step.

You’ll be asked to take a picture of an ID document, and then a selfie to verify your identity against the document you’ve submitted.

That's what I got, It wouldn't let me proceed if I didn't do it.

It seems to be a new thing. I didn’t have to do it when I joined a few months ago.

A friend of mine was trying to sign up tonight, and she mentioned it. It’s put her off signing up, she thinks her ID will be stolen.

Any experienced pLLCK people... On my previous project I created an invoice and created an invoice line every day, but with this project and surveys they are all loaded automatically. Does this mean the invoice will be created automatically too? I can't create it without adding an invoice line so am concerned I won't have an open invoice for projects to add data to. Also, I can't see any info on invoicing or how payment works for the PLLCK project. How long does it take to do 800 a week?

Does any one else do Qmee? I have not had any surveys since yesterday afternoon - there is normally a queue of them first thing in the morning. The little notification window flashes on to tell me there are new surveys, but on my home page there is nothing?
