@Blondeshavemorefun

3 days lest time I cashed some in —as squint—
Thanks since they are easily accessible put in £6,600 savings yesterday, so March for my first draw.

Eyeing up £18k in cash ISA that has just come out of fixed period and wondering if I should stick that in too 🤔. Too late to organise for March now.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/01/2021 14:36

@WeAllHaveWings yes stick it in. Even a £25 win will be more interest then likely to get and no risk
@cariadlet thanks so much! I'll sort this out soon then.

So if I let my syndicate friends know the original bond numbers they can check for any wins too? I like to be transparent about it all.

I'm the main person in the syndicate (as in I manage all the money) and I don't want to let anyone down.
Tbh @SciFiScream I’m amazed that they didn’t ask for thr numbers

I would and check monthly

But I’m not trusting lol

What was the agreement. Unusual to put into bonds
And Share winnings

How many are in your group

SciFiScream · 30/01/2021 14:45

Only 5 of us in total. Normally when we win a little we go out for a meal. This £100 was a couple of £50 wins and we've not been able to get together (not Covid related I've had them about three years)

Recent wins we've just bought more lucky dips. Not been lucky in a while.

We only pay something £4.40 a month SO into my account and the DD comes out of my account to the lottery. We have a signed agreement and everything. GrinGrin

Good Luck everyone, some lucky person will receive a call today 🍀

Didn't know people used premium bonds like a lottery syndicate. Smile learn something new each day as they say

FAQs · 31/01/2021 19:11

@Blondeshavemorefun no, it's drawn a few days before the end of the month, a couple of days of security checks are undertaken, the millionaires are told the news the day before the first working day of the month, this month, it's today.

At midnight tonight the bond numbers and location of prizes £5k - Million will be released (this is money update tomorrow afternoon with prizes £1000 - million)

On Tuesday the full results will be released.

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/01/2021 20:03

I did not know that @FAQs

Guessing I’m not the winner of a million then 😂😢

You and me both, hoping for at least a little something (or medium Grin )

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/01/2021 21:07

March will hopefully be better for me as brought some more the other week

What? So there is no point being excited that I might be a millionaire? I’d know by now if I was? Well that’s no fun.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/02/2021 07:35

Seems so @StanfordPines

I’m going to check out the list of high winners now

Tho if not on there may still win £25

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 01/02/2021 07:39

Nope. Not a little winner either :(

Tho someone with £90 bonds won £5k

Let’s wait for the £25 to be revealed

OP posts:
StanfordPines · 01/02/2021 07:44

When I look at the list it has something like value of the bonds and amount held. What is the difference?

HeronLanyon · 01/02/2021 07:44

Well clearly there is something wrong with the system - if they call high winners. I haven’t had my call !!??
Having said that I’ve had PBs for just over a year and have ‘won’ around 500. Awful % but not too shabby if I don’t think % 🤣

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/02/2021 07:55

I think they only call the millionaire ?

@FAQs or do they call lower amounts

OP posts:
FAQs · 01/02/2021 08:13

Morning, just the millionaires, no £5k plus winners at all in the county I live in.

The higher value winners of £50k plus receive letters and are asked whether they want to reinvest or receive into their bank account, a security form has to be completed, otherwise all the prizes below are paid as requested (unless it puts them over the maximum)

Oh well, the rest is released at midnight tonight, still a little hope for us all 🤞🏻

FAQs · 01/02/2021 08:16

@StanfordPines the value, is the amount bought at any one time, so anything from £25 up currently and the amount held is the total holding/balance of the account.

Flambola · 01/02/2021 08:17

The reason why NS&I CS don’t answer the phones is because they physically can’t. There aren’t people sitting there just avoiding taking calls. They have 9 seconds in between each call on a 9 hour shift and are speaking to 60+ customers a day. There are KPIs and targets to hit and if they aren’t, the staff are met with disciplinary proceedings. They are not working from home and haven’t been since March so have to accommodate for Covid restrictions. Calls have gone from 40-ish a day to upwards of 500 at any one time.

People talk about hiring new people, but these people need to be recruited, trained, crb checks, credit checks etc. Space needs to be found for them, equipment. Not so easy.

Sorry to get so irate but I hate the concept of ‘they don’t answer the phone’.

FAQs · 01/02/2021 08:29

@Flambola I heard at the beginning of the month after the release they can receive up to 13,000 call a day? Must be incredibly stressful.

PineappleSun · 01/02/2021 09:07

I've not won a penny since June last year, feel like the most unlucky person with these bonds. Has anyone thought of taking it all out and flouncing from lack of winnings? Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/02/2021 09:25

Why would uou call if uou won ?

I would just wait for money to go into my
Account

OP posts:
HeronLanyon · 01/02/2021 09:33

pineapple I am about to flounce out of playing the national lottery for the same reason. Trouble is I need a good big heavy door to slam on my way out. Can’t see that in the website.

FAQs · 01/02/2021 11:09

The longest I went without a win was 10 months on quite a large block.

In August I won £25 on a £100 block bought in 1999, its first win Grin probably be another 20 years for that one.

I do feel like flouncing when you see at least 4 big wins this month from Dec 20 investments 🤣 not that I’m jealous ..
