Congratulations @Otterses

App* users can I ask. How long after receiving your congratulation you have been selected... email have you been able to start working on a project. I have received notice for Ne 14 days ago and ec* 1 month ago. Nothing on either side to allow me to get started. Is this Normal?

peelpeelthebanana · 11/10/2020 21:48

Just catching up on the thread and saw your great news - congratulations, @Otterses! Smile

littlegem84 · 11/10/2020 22:19

@NewModelArmyMayhem18 thanks for coming back to me. I've had a couple that took 2-3 weeks coming through but have a bunch I did at September and wondered if I should give up hope on them!

I'll just forget about them and if I get paid, it'll be a nice surprise!

endofday · 12/10/2020 07:42

How random is App:: pay? Last month it was on the 11th? I'm seriously sad looking at my empty bank account, thought it would be in?

tootyfruitypickle · 12/10/2020 09:11

Yes I'm logged into Payoneer waiting.... Really need the payment to come through asap!!

Buster27 · 12/10/2020 09:45

@redgirl1 it varies a lot - I got access to Ne very quickly (maybe a week) but I must have been waiting a month for Ec too. Sorry not really a helpful answer!

redgirl1 · 12/10/2020 09:56

@Buster27
Thank you it is helpful. I am wondering why they haven’t progressed my N**e. I am feeling very impatient to get started, I hope they haven’t dropped me 😢

YonderTweek · 12/10/2020 10:21

I've just checked my Payoneer and there's nothing there. Sad

@redgirl1 I've been sent the Congratulations email a few times but then I've been left hanging for weeks/months. I'm currently waiting on at least two projects but I'm not holding my breath.

Luckily I have K@@@ to do (for now anyway) because there's work to be done there! I did six hours yesterday which is probably my new record. Shock

redgirl1 · 12/10/2020 11:14

@YonderTweek 😔 I thought that may be the case. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. A little extra cash before Xmas would be so much appreciated!! Good that you have another project on the go though!

CatsCereal · 12/10/2020 11:47

Has anyone been lucky enough to get another 1 hour a day Appen task after finishing a year on one? I love knowing I've got that money coming in each month and would be great to know I could pick up another one!

Buster27 · 12/10/2020 12:15

@CatsCereal Ooh would be interested to know this too. I thought I got two at once but got removed from one without ever getting access as they were oversubscribed..

MrsWombat · 12/10/2020 17:56

@CatsCereal I haven't. But I'm clinging on to Crisp with dear life as I can do £10 a day on there if I really want to.

Wolfff · 12/10/2020 19:27

@CatsCereal

I picked up a 10-20 hour a week project a month or so before my hour a day one ended. It seems to be ongoing, been doing it 4-5 months, although there was a hiatus of about a month due to an issue with the data. TBH I would prefer an hour a day one. I work FT and study and it’s a constant struggle to do the hours.

I would suggest applying for everything you could possibly do, especially towards the end of your project.

YonderTweek · 13/10/2020 08:47

FFS. Checked Payoneer and I have been paid but I have no idea how to withdraw the funds. 🤦For some other providers it would seem I could withdraw everything to my bank account but for Ap it just says USD balance and there's nothing I can do about it. Looks like someone messed it up when setting it up initially. 🙄 I'm trying to work out how to fix it but I don't suppose anyone else has had the same issue?

Catatemyhomework · 13/10/2020 08:52

@YonderTweek, there is a phone number you can ring for payoneer and talk to someone. I have done it myself and they set up my account so that the money goes directly from your payoneer account to your bank account. They have to authorise it first.

YonderTweek · 13/10/2020 08:55

@Catatemyhomework Ahh, thank you! I thought it might be a case of getting in touch with them. I'll try that. Smile

Catatemyhomework · 13/10/2020 09:11

@YonderTweek, this is the phone number: 020 3608 0610
The lady I spoke with was really helpful and set it up for me.

Wolfff · 13/10/2020 10:00

@yondertweek

I was just able to set it up by adding my bank account online. You withdraw in dollars and it converts it to pounds. It shows the exchange rate (which is crap).

YonderTweek · 13/10/2020 10:38

Thanks guys! I rang the customer support number and spoke to the most patient person ever. There was an issue with my bank account and for some reason it didn't give the me option to withdraw, but I added the same bank account details again, the customer service person verified them for me, and it works now. It was a bit of a faff and I could have spent that half an hour clicking away, but I'm pleased it got sorted. 😁 I thought a company like Payoneer would be hard to contact but it was really straightforward.

Oh yeah I'm just going to pretend the exchange rates don't exist for now. Lol.

Loughrigg77 · 13/10/2020 13:14

I've been lurking on this thread for a while and found it very useful - thank you. For those that do work for Appen and Crisp - how many hours a month do you need to put in to make say £3-400 per month? Are they like Prolific where you have to be logged in a lot of the time to see what's available, or do you have to apply/get invited to do projects? I'm just wondering if I could do work like this around a full time job. Thanks!

SidVisk · 13/10/2020 13:29

I have been relying purely on N*v0 but due to the slump at the moment I think I need to sign up to something else.

I didn't want to sign up to too many things and I don't want to be submitting invoices or anything. Are there any other things people do that are similar to N*v0 that are low commitment where you can get paid by PayPal?

SidVisk · 13/10/2020 13:32

I was thinking maybe Prolific but I don't know a lot about it and am very wary of selling my details.

Catatemyhomework · 13/10/2020 13:53

@SidVisk, Clickworker is similar to Neevo, although I don't have much joy on there at the moment, but quick tasks to be paid via Paypal. Also Teamai sometimes have tasks similar to Neevo. Teamai used to be isoftstone.

SidVisk · 13/10/2020 13:56

Thanks @Catatemyhomework that really helps. I'll take a look at these.

Wheelyyyy · 13/10/2020 14:11

Checking in. Hope everyones well!

I havent doen anything for a while and just catching up on the Potatoe required volume. Havent been on in ages. Still have a way to go.

Also logged back into Appen and signed up for one or two things - cross your fingers please.
Also did a couple of prolific surveys.

Im aiming to state how much im doing daily as a way to hold myself accountable. Want to do a couple of hours work 5-7 days
