@loneranger1, I think they may have finished. I was doing them yesterday and then it said no more tasks available and I hadn't finished the full amount, so I think they might have run out.
There is two new ones today, the first wont get past test page, second one is working.

Catatemyhomework · 16/10/2020 09:32

@loneranger1, arh yes, see what you mean. There is a new one just come in for me. I only have one email though and mine seems to work.

ruralwanderer · 16/10/2020 10:19

@Wheelyyyy, I signed up via the link on this thread as I wasn't getting anything new from my usual sources and applied for every project on the site that I thought I was in any way capable of doing and then they emailed me the details for the one I ended up on (probably due to some demographic information I supplied when I signed up). Hope this helps! :)

lynsey91 · 16/10/2020 10:24

Those of you doing the Neevo listening task are you giving a reason for your score each time?

I am not sure whether to do it or not as having to keep typing a reason makes it take longer plus it's difficult keep thinking of different things to say

Catatemyhomework · 16/10/2020 10:29

@lynsey91, I start off enthusiastically giving a reason each time and then it tails off to about 1 in 10. Mostly similar reasons, eg, mispronunciation of a word or too fast and disjointed. If I hear one that sounds terrible I do comment, i.e if it sounds like a robot.

TeddyDidIt · 16/10/2020 10:44

I commented almost every time last time I did a batch of these. I felt the email really emphasised it was optional this time, so I'm only doing it very occasionally - usually when I'm hesitant about whether it's 'good' or 'fair' and want to explain my choice.
We'll see if I get paid for them all!

SengaMac · 16/10/2020 14:00

@lynsey91
In the past, I've commented on most of them. I used the same comments a lot e.g. 'Poor emphasis and timing'.
This time, tho, I decided to rattle through them and made almost no comments.
Will wait & see if I get paid for it.

Can anyone help with how invoicing works for Appen? I did A* once and it says the payment is fixed per session. Do I need to submit an invoice or wait for the hours to be uploaded or? Any help much appreciated!

Catatemyhomework · 17/10/2020 11:15

Managed to get 2 studies on Intellizoom this morning. Really pleased as I've not had anything since March. It coincides with an email they sent asking to link PayPal again, so might be worth doing this for others who have not had anything from them recently.

lannister · 17/10/2020 11:18

@Daygloweyes each project has info on how invoicing works. You will usually find this under the tab invoicing in the project. From the projects I have done, some are automatically entered in an invoice and some I had to enter manually then I would submit everything altogether in only one invoice once a month

Februarycat · 17/10/2020 13:10

@Catatemyhomework I got 2 e mails about Intellizoom surveys and then the Paypal link came up so was a bit wary of doing it, as have already done it when I first joined last year, and not had any surveys since around February time

SkittyKat · 17/10/2020 13:25

Bloody neevo! Another task that they haven't paid me for. I'm done with them now. They were so good in the past but I am not wasting my time any more.

whysotriggered · 17/10/2020 13:36

@skittykat I hear you, I did hundreds maybe even a thousand of those call validation jobs and have heard nothing. It's not on my work history anymore, just removed and their chat function has gone!

SkittyKat · 17/10/2020 13:47

That's appalling @whysotriggered. Surely that can't be legal?

Catatemyhomework · 17/10/2020 13:50

@Februarycat, that's what I thought too, because I have already linked it as they have made me a gazillion times since I signed up with them. However, I never got anything from them at all after March for some reason and thought they'd kicked me out. When I did the PayPal link yesterday, I immediately got 2 more studies. It might be worth trying.

Catatemyhomework · 17/10/2020 13:51

paid not made.

whysotriggered · 17/10/2020 13:56

@skittykat I've emailed their support so we'll see what they say. It's never happened before so I am trying to give them the benefit of the doubt

SengaMac · 17/10/2020 14:21

That's very bad @whysotriggered.
I got paid for the call validations on 28 sept.
Have you checked all of your work history? Sometimes a job will be way down at the end of the list, even if it was recent.

I hope you and @skittykat get your money.

whysotriggered · 17/10/2020 14:27

@sengamac checked they are not there, like it didn't exist! It was validating N**b*d IVR automated calls.

Februarycat · 17/10/2020 14:54

@catatemyhomework Thanks I will link it again and hopefully will start getting the surveys again

SengaMac · 17/10/2020 15:14

Jeezo, @whysotriggered.
The ones with noisy background & people saying three versions of one thing?
Those are the ones I did and got paid for.
I hope you get them sorted out.

Also hope their chat function gets fixed as it wasn't working for a while before it disappeared.

JustLurkingAway · 17/10/2020 15:28

Hopefully not going to sound too dumb...what's potato thing I've seen people mentionBlush

whysotriggered · 17/10/2020 15:30

@SengaMac yep

I did loads of them. This is the first time it has happened to me after hearing about the trouble others have had, I've always been paid before. Hopefully, they will reply to my email but I've pretty much written the money off.

SengaMac · 17/10/2020 17:04
Shock I just screenshotted my ones that are closed, in case I don't get paid.
